He's not moving my stuff, he's moving me. He answers his mobile and responds immediately. That translates to foreman Chris - whose 13 years with Sach gives him a keen eye for what a move will take and what the crew is doing moment to moment. The team is careful, efficient, and respectful. They show up on time and ready to go. They work together smoothly, from packing to moving to unpacking. They're family, and they treat me like family. A week after moving me five states earlier this month - a tightly coordinated three-day job where nothing chipped or broke - Sach found a framed picture that somehow was left behind. He called with great concern that I might be missing a memory item and told me to look out for it. Two days later, the photo of an important family memory arrived very carefully packaged. If you want a family business that will treat you like family, call Sach.

We could not have been happier with this experience!! From the detailed quote provided by Steve, who was quick to respond to questions, to the actual day of the move, everything went...well, smooth is the best word! The quote was completely accurate, nothing above what we expected was charged, even though we ended up having more to move than expected, which took a bit longer, but they stood by their quoted hourly rate. As for the move itself, I cannot say enough about the efficiency, professionalism and respectfulness of Jonathan, Edwin and Brandon. They made a great team, and they made a stressful and difficult process much easier for us. I highly recommend Smooth Move!! Service: Local move

I had a tight deadline, as the warehouse holding my goods was about to close. I had already asked for estimates from two nearby storage companies, only to find either negative or mixed reviews for them on Yelp and elsewhere on the web, so I was concerned about finding a reputable company. Kecia responded to me via Yelp immediately, and when she realized I was located overseas, she called me on WhatsApp to inquire about my move. She reached out to the warehouse right away and arranged a visit with them the following day. She then scheduled the pickup for later that week, well within the deadline, having already sent me the contract and given me a quote, etc. Because I could not be present for the move, Kecia sent photos of my goods once they reached the unit at Jonathan Alexander. The inventory provided was very clear and easy to read (which is never a guarantee) ... and because of that, as well as the photos, I quickly realized that my biggest and most expensive item had not been accounted for. Luckily, she had even thought to photograph and send the original inventory from the old warehouse. It turned out that the old company had been storing the large item separately from my other stuff, and had forgotten about it! Pretty stressful, but Kecia worked with them on it and made sure to get it picked up, still within the deadline. Throughout the entire process, including the curveball at the end, she kept me updated via WhatsApp, email and phone, so I never had to worry -- I knew the company was on top of everything and working quickly.

He kept asking me to change our pickup day and time. Each time I told him I couldn't change my plans. He could have simply told me it didn't work for them, but each time he'd say OK and I would confirm the day, time, and location of pickup at the end of the conversation. Then the next day he'd ask me to change it up again. When the day finally arrived, he texted me at 6:45 am and told me they were going to be almost 3 hours earlier than the scheduled time. Again, at no point did he disclose there was a pickup window. He had confirmed our appointment on multiple occasions. It almost ruined the whole process because we were picking up our item from friends, so I couldn't just randomly change the plan with no notice. Kareem was rude to me on the phone when I called him about this and said "things change". Then he billed me an invoice for our balance due before the job was done and texted me about payment. It left a bad taste in my mouth.

I recommended them to a few of my friends as well, perhaps by the time my friends move, JTM will grow into a mid-size mover already. At least for now, the charge is quite reasonable and they do charge flat rate if preferred, so I don't have to worry about the common movers scam of charging extra for traffic, slow or whatever other reasons. They happened to bring a piece of small glass home which got wrapped in their moving blanket. They contacted me even before I realized it, and sent back to me at their own cost.
