Well the last few times we have been the game has been fun but the food has left a lot to be desired. Tonight we all ordered slices of pizza (5 of us in the group) and of course a couple of pitchers of beer. All of our pizzas were dried out, not a lot of toppings and large areas with no toppings at all (bubbles in the dough). This was our first time back in a couple of months because the food quality had already been going down on our last couple of visits. Tonight was just awful. Bad thing too cause we brought my sister for her first time and she was not at all impressed. I hate this because they used to be SO good. Service is about the same as it's always been (so-so) and we love the restaurant itself but I'm not sure if we will be coming back. It's just not worth $50+ for 2 people when the food quality is so disappointing. We noticed too that a lot of other Tuesday night regulars weren't there tonight. Wonder if they have been experiencing the same sad food. We will wait another month or so and maybe try again. It's really sad though when our other trivia spot is a bar and they have better food........

We were visiting a park nearby on a Sunday afternoon and wanted to have lunch first in Thomaston…read more At around noon, there did not appear to be a lot of options, especially on the town square. Luckily, Slices was open and there was plenty of street parking. We were seated promptly. Our server was efficient and brought our waters out quickly. It took a while for our slices, but we could watch the pizza-baking process from our booth. We each got a slice and they were definitely big enough to serve as a meal! They were cooked well, and the ingredients tasted fresh. I would readily return here for more pizza if I were ever back in town.

For starters I was…read morehighly put off by the open kitchen concept when I can see the line cook prepping my ready to eat food without gloves on or any food handling tools. It was good that he put a glove one to drop some food in the batter before dropping it in the fryer... but then to take glove off and go back to touching everyone else's ready to eat food without gloves, just plain nasty. After observing this place for 30 minutes something tells me not a single employee has attended servesafe nor would they understand anything about food safety. After observing this, my sandwich finally coming out, it was really pathetic. I get food costs are hitting us all but please raise your prices accordingly. The Cuban sandwich needs a little more ham than 1 paper thin slice per half. It also could use more than .5oz of whatever they are trying to pass off as roasted pork. Anyway overall a massive train wreck at this place. I would avoid it at all cost until they work through their food safety problems. P.s. tell your line cook that he is supposed to sani his knives after cutting something with them... not just wipe them off and put them back on the food safe surface... and for that matter please ask him to sani the food "safe" surface too. Since that was done at no point and time during my 45 minutes lunch.

But this Greek and Italian restaurant stood out from the rest. The murals on the walls and the green and red colors made me feel like I was in Italy on vacation. We settled in a booth, took one look at the menu, and decided we would do what we call a sampler! So we ordered a huge pizza that tasted as if it came right from Italy, but it had that New York-style taste I so love, too. The pasta was very hearty, meaty, with a light, rich sauce. I think it was a buttery type sauce. We added wings and calamari, which were just as good and flavorful. I like a lot of crispy crunch to my wings! Also, we couldn't leave without adding a dessert on the way out. I have to say the dessert display case is really something to admire. So we started with one dessert. I believe it was the tiramisu and a slice of cake that led to several more tastings and the purchase of more desserts on the way out; they were just so good! Now I have to give the staff a big thank you! We had a little one with us; she enjoyed the food, but the murals on the wall really caught her attention. She asked the staff a zillion questions, and they were so kind to her. Thank you again!

We now enjoy picking the food up. Great tasting "personal size" pizzas. 8.00 and you can add multiple toppings for no extra charge. Good choices of beer (once we get to eat inside again) They remodeled the interior and it's very clean and fast to. Well......my update is this. Staff is still friendly but sandwiches are NOT worth 8.00. I've had the bbq chicken grinder before, I thought it was good but I swear the bread is smaller and the amount of chicken was a small portion. My wife had a meatball grinder. Bread was burnt, badly, so whoever "cooked" it knew and basically said, I don't care. 3 smallish meatballs cut in half that tasted frozen. Won't be ordering those again. I do recommend Popeyes classic chicken sandwich though for 3.99. Yeah, not 8.00.
