wow I hate to write this review,i went to this shop because of a referral from napa and the positive reviews and because rick sounded so nice on the phone, once he got my truck it was a whole different story,im still wondering just what it is about me or what I said that caused him to have such a dislike for me. he absolutely had no time for me when I tried to discuss the work on my truck and treated me with such distain and a condescending attitude it blows my mind. I know I had a gun shy attitude and told him why upfront. that the shop I just left broke the manifold putting in a clutch and of coarse wouldn't make it right as well as other issues he claimed to totally relate to,1964 parts are hard to find. I found and bought the parts needed and had an ebrake assy and a new generator that I ask them to install as well as the exhaust. he installed the e brake and left it jammed under a linkage rod that caused the top brake shoe to be pressured against the drum and smoke the dang shoe.when I ask him if the e brake adjusted ok he gets shitty with me. ask him if he polarized the new gen as I pointed out to him needed done before install, he gets shitty with me and tells me it doesn't need polarized even though I left the new install info sheet that came with the gen on the gen, ruined my new gen, the e brake will work but I still had to redo the install. as far as the exhaust I guess the work and the job is ok other than the pipe he used is a size smaller than the other stock side and I didn't know that new mufflers came pre rusted ? ask him to change the rear end & tranny lube but he decided he didn't want to do that because I didn't leave him enough lube oil ? napas a half block away ? told me the clutch didn't work so he just cranked on the starter to move it, [ clutch worked fine when I dropped it off ] just needed adjusted as I ask him to do while it was on the lift. SO $ 350 for the manifold that he told me to find and then told me it wont work, almost $700 for one side exhaust run with to small a pipe and what looks like a scrap bin muffler the cost of another new generator and having to rework and adjust my e brake and change my rear and tranny lube in the drive way, more shitty attitude from him and his employee when I come to get my truck, waited an hour + for anyone to show up and then after barking at me for checking out my truck instead of waiting in the office they leave me standing around waiting while the unload a bunch of fire wood. I was upfront and respectful and ask ahead of time if he was ok with doing all this little stuff on an old truck and on the phone he was as nice and agreeable as could be, no problem probably be around 3 -- 4 hundred dollars and I like working on old iron.....im at a loss.. hell of a way to treat a paying customer. S.O.B. just took advantage of a broke down old man that just got burned at another shop and took his old truck in to fix what the last shop f d up and take care of a couple other simple things. my health wont allow me to do this work anymore and he knew that. dang it I was stoked at the thought of an honest shop with a good guy to do the work on my riggs, I have 4 other autos that will need work and now im still at a loss for a shop that wont roll me. read more
