This review is overdue but I wanted to share my experience with everyone. Nate is the best and has tons of experience with being ASE Blue Seal Certified. Nate was able to help me on two separate occasions with an oil change, coolant, timing belt, and anything else I needed. Updating again: The business owner Nate just called me and was very polite and we both explained our sides of the situation. He was very apologetic and made sure to listen as to why I was so upset. I completely appreciated the call. He will be returning to finish my sons car and I feel confident he will get my sons car safely back on the road. Absolute trash company. My son had an appointment for Friday at 10 am. After almost an hour of waiting for "Proformance" to show up, my son finally hears back from the guy who says he can't make it, and if he can come the following day (Saturday) at 3 pm. Fine. So now it's Saturday. No call. No show. "Proformance" finally messages my son and moves the 3 pm time to 6 pm. Unprofessional. If he didn't want to do the job, he could have just said so. Thanks for wasting our weekend waiting around for nothing. UPDATE: The business owner just responded to my comment, by stating, that it was my son's idea to change the appointment date. I have my son's texts that day. My son only asked "Proformance" if they needed to change the day after THEY didn't show up for the appointment, after son had been waiting for 40 minutes PAST his appointment. Then today (Saturday) after "Proformance" said they would be out at 3 pm ( but it ended up more like 5pm) couldn't finish the job, because it was my son's fault he didn't have the bolts needed. Look, I'm just here stating my experience, as the person paying for this service. This is what I have been dealing with since Friday ( it's now Saturday evening). Oh, I didn't mention, that I have been calling "Proformance" this past week, asking how I can make payment, since my son does not live with me, and I am the one paying. This guy was awesome. I mean you can't beat the customer service. It me me a moment to understand while talking with him that he'd come to me to do the service and was willing to come get keys from me the day before. That wasn't necessary. In any event we made arrangements and while I'm at work he replaced all four of my breaks in about an hour at the price I was expecting. I just wasn't expecting he'd do it all without me having to do anything except pay on-line. We talked on the phone once, other than that I never saw the guy. Done mid-April and first complaint in August. NoBody expects to put two sets of rotors on in one year! Obviously, I was in denial because I had my front brake pads and rotors done. I've had this squealing noise when I reversed since I bought the truck. Had it after he did the brake, so I assumed it was the rear. They looked rusty and had no idea when they were done. Les Schwab made it seem like it could be the rear, so they replaced them and did some suspension work. Still had the squeal. Had an inspection before my warranty was up in the fall. See picture I work a lot all summer, and it slows down in the winter. Plus, I gave him ample time to respond. I'm not going to harass you. It's more like you gave me every excuse. I didn't need new rotors when you did them, but you wouldn't do the pads without the rotors. Didn't need any extra testing, but I need to do all of this to appease you? You only responded a few days ago. Wow! Called me "unprofessional" and pretty much a scammer." I'm not a mechanic, and I paid for and didn't get fully functioning brakes. I felt he was kind of arrogant. I did my research on a certain code, but he is like no no no. After a pointless smoke test, he overcharged me because he was late (like always). At this appointment, he stood on my bumper to do his smoke test. Brake/ wheel bearing, he neglected to move my truck away from the wall when he was doing my brakes. I had texted he telling him where to find my keys. Some new scratches. So, now I'm finally getting to these brakes. Was going to give him the option to give me the receipt so I can get my money back for the rotors. I take the wheel off, and my rotor is all loose. Imagine being on the other side of a hollow core door and someone is banging full strength on the other side. So, obviously, in the picture, the T30 screw...half screw which looks as if someone has tried to drill out? He's never prepared when he comes to my house. No stool and the first appointment he had to drive to like Fife to pick something up? I could be wrong, but two different reputable companies have said it's the rotors. Les Schwab and Coopers! I take full responsibility for him, not being able to come check his work. He has had plenty of time and is only 8 minutes away. He offered this week but knew of the issue since July or August. I knew exactly what he is doing now was going to happen. But but but. I did spend +$600 on rotors that usually have a few year warranty and another $500 for something else. It could actually be a manufacturer defect. I'm not going to deal with someone who is disrespectful of my property! I am willing to take this to court, but I will update after Les Schwab does my brakes. I couldn't get the calipers off. So, questioning how in less that a year they could be so tight? I tried heat, impact wrench, and a bar for leverage! How could he have done this with my truck next to my house? It's probably possible but coupled with the broken set screw. Idk I noticed my inner pad was wedge shaped. Not sure what it means yet. I'm sure he's gonna want me to give the rotors a colonoscopy. A freaking runout test? He didn't do one either? From what I'm seeing if the runout is that bad I need a shim. Odd My last mobile mechanic took great care to protect the vehicle with fancy aprons or whatever you call them. But stopped dealing with him after a part he didn't screw on all the way came loose and he didn't answer my call! Bleed oil in an upscale neighborhood in Spanaway! Fixed it myself! The advantage he has over everybody else is he works Saturdays. P.s. has had plenty of time to do the correct thing. He may be great for you but not for me! Welp off to spend money I don't have on some more rotors! I'll add pics later. read more

Nate has been the most helpful and honest auto mechanic I've ever dealt with. He saved us about $1,000 within the first visit. After purchasing a 2003 Honda Civic with unmentioned heating issues, we had spent about $950 at another mechanic replacing the radiator, radiator cap, and thermostat. Unfortunately the engine continued to get hot. That mechanic told us we needed a new head gasket which was going to be approximately $1,300 including tax. We were very stressed as we had just purchased the car and already put money into it. I decided to get a few other opinions. Many places wanted over $2,000 for the head gasket replacement. Nate quoted me at around $1,100-$1,200, which was the lowest price in the area. Therefore I requested an appointment. Little did I know, he is a mobile auto mechanic which worked out very well because we only had one Honda Civic at that time and my husband wasn't comfortable taking the car anywhere. He came a couple days later and diagnosed the car. He specifically said that he didn't want to replace a head gasket unless it absolutely needed to be done and wanted to make sure that the head gasket was indeed the issue. After diagnosing, and getting the air bubbles out of the radiator, also known as "burping" the system, he drove it around and watched the codes and levels with a computer. Luckily the air bubbles seem to have been the issue and we didn't have to spend the money on the head gasket. We only paid around $115 for something we thought was going to be closer to $1,100-$1,200. It had been three and a half months and the car had been running perfectly. Unfortunately the issue came back, which I now think was because my husband never put more radiator fluid in. I called him immediately when it was getting hot and he talked to me over the phone letting me know how to deal with the issue of bubbles in the radiator. Then he came the next day and showed me exactly how to deal with it, suggested we may consider replacing a couple things if the issue comes back again. I was thinking we were going to pay for this second visit but he didn't ask for payment. I was surprised how nice that was. I have a distrust of many mechanics after having a 1995 Civic that I felt I was screwed by a lot of mechanics recommending so many replacement parts and unnecessary services. I'm so happy we found Nate. You'll be happy with his services and you'll learn a lot of you want to learn. He explains everything in detail. As long as we are living in the Tacoma area, we will always use him for our two Honda Civics. read more

Ok where to even start with Nate. First I'll say he is very responsive, communicates and most of all is on time. Not that I had anywhere to go on x mas eve but still he gave me a heads up 30 and 15 min apart. He's a clean cut guy, very honest, informative, patient and is funny. He's my fav kind of mechanic; no bullsh*t and no unnecessary work just for an extra dime he had no problem me with watching him work and ask random questions even though I know a bit about cars but I like to see what's being done and I'm glad I was there cause in the midst of his replacing my alternator my suspicion on my ac not working is true. (It's too cold to know for sure in dec and I just bought this truck a few weeks ago) there is a leak and had I not been there I might have been one of those "before you replaced my----- it worked so it's your fault" people and then left a crappy Yelp review like the other one star cry babies on here. (Just kidding I'm not that salty sh*t happens) But I know how mechanics work and they are very different. Nate is the best version on so many levels. The thing is his service is convenient cause you can be home, work or on a date (wouldn't recommend) and he comes to you. He's honest and doesn't do things that don't need to be done. He is cut and dry, if he sees something that needs to be addressed he voices it he doesn't just look passed it and there is NO PRESSURE. To have him fix it now. This one interaction with him and I can 100% say he's now my guy. He calls auto stores gets prices and has them match the lowest price. He did this in front of me and you know he does that to save his customer money. He's not the "not out of my pocket don't care guy". I read a rating on here that said something about how he just goes and buys whatever part blah blah blah but news flash sir, all parts come from stores like that and most of them are certified and or OEM w warranties. Big box stores that do auto service give no effs what the part costs... he does care. He GUARANTEES his work. So call or text him express your concern and go from there. You don't need to leave him a salty review cause you hate life. I know this is long but the last thing is about his patients, I bought an extended warranty with my new/used truck and what he was doing was covered under the warranty so he answered all of these silly little questions that they had to have answered (all the while taking my car apart) and he repeated himself multiple times still respectful, still professional, kind and did whatever they asked him to do. The end result was the dealership still has not turned in my paperwork so I am paying him out of pocket and I'm going to see if I can get them to reimburse me, there was no sense on me making him wait when he came to me and worked on my vehicle. But even if I have to eat that money His service and his professionalism and everything else that he brought to the table was worth every penny. It's not to say he made me pay or he wasn't going to do the work he did say we could figure it out but I'm not the type to make someone wait for money because someone else messed up. He did what I asked and he got paid. I will be calling on him anytime and will be passing his name off to everyone. He even has a printer for invoices and staples them!! Might seem silly but for an OCD customer who keeps things organized he's one of a kind. What a stand up guy. Just recently bought a 2003 Honda Element and while attempting to remove the haze on the headlight, it was bobbing up and down. Upon inspection, discovered the plastic bracket holding down the headlight assembly had broken off. Ordered the part on Amazon and arrived shortly. I didn't realize the front bumper had to be removed and not feeling comfortable doing it alone, I eventually called Nate for an estimate. After much discussion, I decided to approve the work and Nate was able to come the next day. After the front bumper was finally removed, Nate noted the car was missing a condenser and proceeded to install the new headlight. He did this in timely manner. Talk about ease of access! Nate was immediately available by phone for a call and I had my car taken care of about 2 hours later. I was taking a road trip later this evening, and of course since I am a perpetual "last-minute "person I had not addressed the terrible squealing my brakes were making. Fortunately, I was able to call Nate and after asking a few questions, he was able to run to the store, pick up my parts and then we found a mutually agreeable location to meet so that he could change my brakes. He would have traveled to my house if needed! Initially, I was completely skeptical about having a mobile automotive mechanic fix my vehicle. So my truck apparently began smoking while I was on the freeway and I didn't notice til i began to see black smoke coming from my exhaust in my rearview. I pulled over and contacted my insurance company to have my truck towed. I then contacted Nate, who had done work on my truck, previously. He told me to let him know when I got back to the house. Finally when we got there, I let him know. He came out the next day and checked to see the issue was. Then he went to the auto parts store and got what he needed to fix the issue. Nate was very efficient and was very reasonably priced (I would receive quotes on that Monday that were a good amount more than Nate's final price). I requested some quotes for getting my wife's brake pads and rotors replaced. He promptly responded to my online request and was out the next day. He ran a complete diagnostic on my starter system and ascertained that my battery was in fact dead.
