**MOVERS BEWARE** Scheduled American Master Movers for a simple move (apartment items to storage / leather sofa & love seat set to separate residence). Two men showed up on time and promptly began moving. When I made my reservation, I was told all the "services" that were included, with one being that all furniture would be wrapped in blankets for the move. I noticed right away that all furniture was only being wrapped in stretch wrap, not blankets as discussed. I asked why no blankets were being used, they informed me that since I did not elect to purchase the blankets that none would be used. They reassured me that the plastic they were using would be enough protection and I took their word and had them carry on with the loading. Their loading & stacking seemed aggressive (to the point it made me question how well I packed my boxes), but I attributed that to the fact I was being charged hourly and they wanted to move as fast as possible. Once we were complete with loading, they made the short drive to the storage unit. While unloading at the storage unit my headboard (which was not wrapped in a blanket OR plastic) fell in the truck. I was immediately notified and told that American Master Movers would have a "wood technician" come repair the damage in 6+ weeks as this guy is "in high demand". The damage sustained to this piece of furniture is not repairable (see photos) and I asked for the article to be replaced. The lead guy of the move talked with his manager and agreed the item would be replaced. They carried on with the move until all items were in the storage unit. Part of my move included having a power reclining leather sofa & loveseat set taken to a residence instead of in storage. This was no problem for the guys, so they continued to the second drop off location. They were quick with bringing in the loveseat, and after about 30 minutes of waiting for the sofa to come in, I went to the truck to see if they needed any help. They said they were "completing paperwork" but were both looking underneath my sofa which seemed odd. A few minutes later they came in with the sofa and seemed very rushed to leave. We processed the payment, and they were off in a flash. Approximately 2 hours after they leave, I decide to check the sofa & loveseat to confirm the power mechanisms are all correct & functioning. I find the power recline function on the sofa is not working and being to investigate. I check outlets and begin to trace the cords and that is when I found that they ripped the power cords and tried to cover it up and "fix" it with brown packing tape. I immediately called American Master Movers and tried every extension and was sent to voicemail. I left a detailed voicemail explaining the issues that would need resolution (headboard & sofa) but did not get a response back. The next day I sent an email to Cameron at American Master Movers and received a response from "John Hudson" identifying himself as the Assistant Operations Manager, saying that Cameron (who is the General Operations Manager) "is out of the office until further notice" but promised the items I needed resolution on would be resolved. I provided all items he requested (original receipt of the headboard, and my availability to have an electrician come repair the couch). After my prompt response I have not heard anything back from American Master Movers. It has been 45 days since my move, and I have sent 6 follow up emails and left over a dozen voicemails with no response. I am at the point where I must dispute the charges with my credit card due the lack of responsibility taken by American Master Movers. read more

**UPDATE** DEMAND TO SEE PROPER PERMITTING AND INSURANCE IF YOU USE AMERICAN MASTER MOVERS!! 6 weeks later and we still have not heard ANYTHING from anyone in their company. Filed a complaint with the BBB - and they did not respond to that complaint. Filed a complaint with the PUC and these guys DO NOT HAVE A PERMIT with the PUC (which they are supposed to) - and they were issued a warning. In addition, there is no record that the moving company even has insurance! DO NOT USE AMERICAN MASTER MOVERS. But if you do, demand you see their proper permitting and insurance to operate a moving company!! read more

I hired these guys to load our trailers, gave them the deposit signed their contract. They showed up the next day, we showed them around and told them what to load first. They went back into the garage, we assumed they were walking back to their truck for equipment or gloves. Nope they stole my prescription medication and left. My family was put danger while using this company, and they are ghosting me from collecting the insurance I purchased from them. I paid $3k ($1,200 over paid from the quote I was provide) and they wrecked several pieces of furniture- irreplaceable theater chairs, dressers have chunks missing from them, couches have been torn. Doors in my house were taken off hinges and never put back, they left trash in my son's bedroom, the list goes on. I paid for insurance, I have left 6 voice mails begging them for someone to call me back, no one will return my calls, they will not honor their insurance. Because of this, I am actively working with legal counsel. Because of their behavior while moving from my storage facility, I was fined for damages to the building. They left their snacks and drinks all over my furniture and in cleaned out storage units. I had all my storage units organized for quick move-out and move into my home, they opened all 5 units and started loading the truck. I have spent the last week finding all of my items, food was left in garage, tools (sharp) were in my 3 year old's room, I am shocked at how my family was treated. read more

Great service! Well coordinated. Had no issues whatsoever, were on time and efficient. Had them come to offload my truck and set up the furniture. Two men did almost full 26ft within three hours. Payment at the end was easy over the phone. read more

THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE. The other day I says how they cancelled twice and misquoted move. Now he text me with this Hello Kathy. Your check number 1445 in the amount of $1,439.45, dated 06/24/2021, has been returned by the bank. I have verified with your bank that there are insufficient funds to pay the check. I have also tried running the card on file and was unsuccessful. I will have the guys come back out to try and collect payment once more. Have never dealt with a more shady company - would recommend steering clear. You will be overcharged with multiple add ons and hidden fees the day of move, they won't even load up all of your items so you will have to do additional loads yourself, they will leave a mess and take many breaks on the clock. We ended up paying $1750 for 3.5 hours of work and afterward we had to do 5 extra truck loads ourselves. That was the most we have ever paid for movers and by far the worst experience. read more

DO NOT EVER USE!!!!!! we used in the past and they were fine. This time theyt damaged both houses and our property. Lied and tried to hide it, now company won't do Jack $%*)( to make it right. Cameron would not send more than 2 men to move us out of our house to storage so it took 12 hours for a 8 hour job and of course a very high cost. We had to use them again to move out of storage because we were charged for the blankets left behind wrapped around some furniture. Four men this time and it went pretty good except 2 of the four men were extremely slow which extended the move much longer than expected. Of course another very high cost. The bad thing is the damage we found after the move. The freezer had the power cord stuck between the top of the freezer and the seal. Now we are out of a freezer and a call to Cameron did not get a response. I f you want to spend big bucks and get damaged property then hire this crew. Oh and the money for the insurance does no good when the owner does not call you back to discuss the problem!, Take you chance with this crew! read more

I could not have done my move without these guys! Cameron and Mario were so nice and pleasant to work with. The rates for the move were the best I've seen and was totally worth it. They were very quick and efficient moving my stuff down 2 flights of stairs! They also rolled out a mat to avoid scratching the floors and put padding on the door frame to avoid bumps/scratches. They wrapped everything with moving blankets and were cautious with my things! I highly recommend them and will be using them again for any of my future moves! read more

I recently moved from uptown to LoDo and used American Master Movers. Cameron and Nick were terrific to work with! They were very flexible and able to meet my small moving window when another company flopped on me. Their rates were the best I was able to find when I shopped around and there were no hidden moving fees, which was a huge relief. They were extremely professional, responsive, and punctual. DEN of THIEVES!!! Scroll on and find someone else. This company will Not Do One Thing they say they will. NOT ONE. WORST EXPERIENCE with a Moving Company!!!! Then, when they over charge you for services they quoted and agree to a refund - you will never get it, of course - did not do one thing they said. I've called every number I used to schedule plus left messages for manager thru out the day Weds Thur Fri and Mon & Tues. No one picks up! And even after being directed to call Maddie, their General Manager from a FB post - the only time they responded - never answered or returned any of her 3 msgs either. Afraid to take my calls bc AMM knows they tanked on this one hard! BEWARE: I chose this company based on the ONLINE REVIEWS and experienced the EXACT OPPOSITE of the Online Reviews. Scroll on people-it was a NITEMARE-use anyone else! There are dozens of other moving services in the area. Note: not one time was I ever discourteous or rude to there staff!
