Pete was professional and very helpful in the process of the estimate. I only hired them to move furniture and a gun safe. I moved everything else. Two guys took forever taking apart two desk. Two guys took off for lunch for an hour and half. They were fighting between the crew members. They had one speed which was slow. It was not until the boss showed up at the end of the day did they picked up the pace. I have a claim for damage that Brian the owner reached out to me about. Once I got the replacement cost. What a great moving company. The communication, packing, and long distance move was cake for Alex, Erick, Edu, and Oscar. They made it super easy and not once stood around or were on their phones. Could I say terrible. Company was dishonest and the treatment of their customers was shocking. We had a very small problem and were told it was going to be resolved and then they ignored us and hung up on us when we finally reached them. I would like Brian (owner) to contact me about the insurance check that Mountain Movers owes me. They moved us from Denver, CO to Tucson, AZ. They damaged several mattresses, tv, and furniture. Brian stated that they filed an insurance claim back in June 2021 and my check "was being sent FedEx." I have yet to receive my insurance check and now Brian refuses to call me after several attempts to reach him by phone, text and email. Nice young men, however, they took their sweet time and mentioned on several occasions it was because the appraiser messed up and there should have been a third person with them. Clear and precise instructions were provided prior to them starting the move and yet numerous items labeled storage were brought in to the apartment not the garage. This is despite the fact that I was present the entire time. They forgot their tools for disassembling furniture. They forgot their floor covering/protection. My final issue is that one of the movers was on the phone for at least 20 minutes in my back bedroom and when I walked back there he hurriedly hung up and went outside. Wonderful move made super smooth, and even enjoyable, with Mountain Movers! They price-matched for me, and with their many excellent reviews on Home Advisor, It was an easy decision to hire them. Taryl, Max and Antonio worked together really well and kept moving even when I told them that they could take a break. They really wanted me to be happy with my move, which I am! I have moved a lot, and this was my smoothest move, yet. My bed frame is hard to put together, so Taryl kept it in one piece and carried it down from the 3rd floor for me! Moving around the holidays can be challenging, and I was feeling a little scattered, and this moving team kept things on track, starting out by arriving right on time, following my plan for which room to move first, so that I could keep my cat out of the way and safe. Out of every other business I've had to deal with in buying a house/ selling my townhome, this moving company and my real estate agent have been the best. I would not trust this company. The owner Brian Houtz is a rip off artist. Done a move from Parker, Colorado to Windsor Colorado, two 26 ft trucks, complete pack, everything. That move was about a month ago already and he has yet to pay the crew that done all of the work. We try to call, they're ignored, messages are not answered. We done this job because he supposedly was down south for a funeral while this move was happening yet pictures posted on his pages showed him fishing in Alaska? He even stated that he might not pay the formal on the job to the client,so the client said he paid him extra to insure the crew gets paid, still nothing. Pay was supposed to be following the move, that didn't happen,then it was supposed to happen two other times including this past Tuesday,here it is Thursday and still nothing. I'm sending a " Demand for payment" to give one lat chance to make it right, even though I shouldn't,but I already have the formal complaint with the Colorado labor board ready,so hopefully they can get him to pay,who knows,but if you do business with this company, beware what you are getting into, because his whole operation seems and feels like a pyramid scheme. read more

My wife contacted Mountain Movers on June 02, 2020. She scheduled two men to help load heavy furniture into a moving truck on Saturday June 27, 2020. After multiple emails and telephone calls to confirm, I received a phone call the day prior to inform me that they were cancelling. For goodness sake, if you have to move, do not use this company. We would like for the owner Brian Houtz to communicate with us in regards to our recent move from Colorado to California on a promised pending claim to be taken care of of Items that were missing and broken such our now inoperable Treadmill (disassembled and pullout from wires; and pieces broken), washing machine among a list of items damage and/or broken; also the missing 65" TV. We spoke to Brian on early August and were reassured all missing & broken items would be reimbursed however we have not heard from Brian on our claim or any update after he mentioned will give us a call back. We have patiently communicated our concerns through email, phones calls and text with Mountain Movers, specifically with Brian Houtz with no response since mentioned the issue will be taken care of. We have also spoken with Sydney Hidbee from his office who mentioned that she will talk to Brian about the claim and follow up however there has no been a follow up. In addition, we also have communicated with Alex (who drove our last moving truck); who took care of the additional delayed household items and who was amazing delivering our last load and apologetic for the crew of movers who broke and disassembled items and who also has not received any information on the claim of items he specifically gave and met with Brian on the missing and broken. We entrusted our home goods to Mountain Movers over others in good faith and good will and we would like to be reimbursed as promised by Brian Houtz. We will also follow up with this review and updates as this claim is taken care of and by Mountain Movers & Storage LLC. read more
