I'll give this place 3 stars. On a positive note, Lindsay was very nice, quick to respond and got me on the schedule on the same day I called. However, the junk removal was much more costly than other companies I've used in the past. The worst part of the experience was that the junk guys tracked mud on the carpets through the entire path from the front door to an upstairs bedroom. They "compensated" me by discounting the price by $45 which was something, but didn't make up for the two hours of carpet cleaning I had to do after they left. We had Jolly Junk come out to take away about 10 cardboard boxes and a broken down bedframe. That was already overpriced but the guys that came to grab it were quick and nice. I wrote them a check and went back inside. Within a minute, I heard a crash and went outside to find that our power lines can been ripped down from the connecting point to the house. We were not outside to witness this, but I ran to the alley to see the Jolly Junk truck driving away as the wires now lay down across our yard and hanging low in the alley. I called Jolly Junk to express the issue but it was quickly defensive that we didn't actually witness it. Fair enough, except that there was nobody else in the alley. The incident itself was frustrating as we need to ensure with an electrician that nothing is wrong, but the lack of accountability is worse. I imagine their service - albeit expensive - is fine. But if anything goes wrong, I hope you won't have to work with Lindsay or her team. We'll certainly be using other services from now on. read more

After a backyard redo and updating some furniture around the house I was in need of junk removal for a small quick job. I booked with Jolly Junk online about 5 days in advance for a 10am - 12pm slot. Day of communication from this company was really good. I received multiple calls from their coordinator updating me on when the crew was expecting to arrive - the major problem and reason for my neutral review was how inaccurate this communication worked out to be. I started off my day with a call that they'd likely arrive early before 10am, cool, so I reworked my morning errands to be available before my window. They were not early though and as it turned out the client before me had a huge all day project waiting for the crew. This resulted in them blowing well through my scheduled appointment time. My stuff ultimately got picked up by the crew 2 hours late at 2:15pm that afternoon. Total of 10 minutes of work when they got here but most of my day was eaten up by waiting. Considering the client before me misrepresented their project at booking it would have been nice if Jolly could have asked them to book additional open 2 hour slots later in order to honor their other appointment windows. I was only 5 minutes away. Other than waiving the credit card processing fee no other meaningful discount was offered for my inconvenience. All that said, the three guys who showed up for my job were very polite, professional, and quick. I'd probably still use this crew again in the future but would only book their first open slot of the day to play it safe. read more

I am so impressed with Jolly Junk! They helped me when other organizations and businesses couldn't/wouldn't. The customer service is the best - they ( Lindsay or Joanna) get back with you right away - follow up is great. The guys who picked up our old furniture (4 pieces) were great and very professional. Horrible service. Once they arrived at my home, they tried to haggle prices with me even after we had agreed upon a price. They damaged some of my walls while taking out the items I didn't need anymore and tried to act like they didn't do it. They also walked on my clean carpet with muddy shoes and I had to get my carpets re-cleaned after this. I called the office to ask how they were going to fix this and was basically put through the ringer.. 1/10 do not recommend Jolly Junk. read more
