some engine dyno room that opens when when testing lol.

Had my LS2 engine redone at AHP a while back, after the previous shop's valve porting job ended up with a pinhole that let in coolant into a cylinder after few years. That previous shop had closed, so all the searches led to AHP as the corvette shop to go to in socal. First of all, the location is great for towing a disabled car. Straight off the 110 freeway, then one left turn into a deserted and wide street. Turn into street to the right and tow truck can back onto the shop driveway for easy unload. Corvette engine work is not cheap any where, so the differentiator for me was these guys know engines. There were new engines on stands around the shop and owner, Kohle, is proud to show off his shop and work and is a straight forward down to earth kind of a guy. His specialty seems to be head and valve work, so what else could I hope for? Damage was enough and decided to redo the entire top of the engine and internals with upgraded parts and all to give the car an entirely new life. During the build, Kohle reported something did not end up right on the old block after machining/line honing? Since the honing didn't go right, he stepped up to replace the block with a new block to make for a total new long block! The guy knows LS engines inside outside, so I don't think one can do any better on engine work anywhere else. Seems like folks even ship cars from far away to get engines done here. I am pretty anal about details and double checking, so seeing all the marks on every bolt/nut they torque just gave me an extra peace of mind that the builder has an anal system of doing things right as well, lol. After the new engine, there was a hiccup discovered several months later, and when requested Kohle to check it out, he dove in to find the hiccup and make it fully all right again to make sure the engine will be bulletproof! Any thing corvette related, I would recommend to check out this shop. I think they do all GM, so camaros too:) Sorry, no Fords... They really should open up their service to Mustangs at least.

I live in Seattle and own a LS7 powered corvette. I was finally convinced to get the heads redone before the motor grenaded and after talking to several different people who offer similar services, I decided to go with AHP. It came down to Kohle's knowledge on the problems with this motor, the varying degrees of work you can select, the ease of repair with their head exchange program and head installation kit. I had the heads mailed to me, had a local shop do the swap, and my car runs great. The peace of mind is well worth it.

Kohle of AHP did my LS7 motor 7 years ago and it is still running strong after 40,000 hard miles. This time I needed the clutch replaced and Kohle is the only one I TRUST doing the job right. I highly recommend AHP. He has a respected reputation with the Corvette motor work he does. Thank you Kohle for a job well done!

On the rack, what you don't see are the other big-dollar builds all around. Mine was a small job compared to the rest.

Another satisfied AHP customer. What can I say that hasn't been written before about Kohle, Matt, Jake and the rest of AHP. Anyone who has had the experience of dealing with mechanic shops let alone custom speed shops knows the experience is (to put it mildly) highly hit-and-miss. Took my 13K miles 2007 Z06 out here from AZ based on the reviews, the fact they have done so many of these cars and the pricing was great to boot and I'll tell you, it's everything they say and a lot more. What separates a good shop from an excellent shop is the attention to detail and time they give you, the customer. Not just getting it done, but also taking the time to go over the work with you both before and after the money changes hands, taking care of little things on the car that were noticed, as well as a tour of the facilities- you get the impression they take their job seriously- even got my car back, washed. Also, I am really sold on the fact they have their own in house parts development program for these cars. Bring your car here, you will be in great hands. My car's valvetrain is now silent- like a brand new car. I'm glad I made this choice. Thanks.

Cleanest, tidiest speed shop Ive ever been in. Best experience, communication, Ive had dealing with mechs and shop manager[s] Beyond cool to find a speed shop that caters to the details and things I want. The facilities are next level. Engine dyno and fab rooms. A remarkable use of square footage. To say these guys are LS and LT experts is understatement. I have a Camaro not a Corvette, but they were cool working on it. My LT1 is little past factory break in. Fluid and diff flipped and linkage's check on the chassis. The clunky frt end niggles, gone. I'm OCD about things and I didnt even have to ask, guys are on it. Super professional, gracious vibe. Proper top shelf operation. Jake, Kohle & very on it tech Matt... Thks boys \,,/ \,,/

I am pretty particular on who I let work on my car but trust these guys to do a great job. Highly recommended.

I found American Heritage Performance after talking to a big box online LS store in Texas and was disappointed with their service over the phone. The corvette forum backed up AHP's reputation. I enjoyed working with AHP to have them build an LT4 for my 2016 C7 Z06. I was expecting a good rebuild with 750whp. I am blown away with my latest dyno test at 1050whp! I have a lot of experience with high performance Corvettes as I worked on the factory Pratt&Miller C5R and C6R from 2004-2007 as a brake and suspension mechanic. In my opinion AHP could be just as good if not better supplier of engines to the Corvette factory team as their current supplier. The attention to detail and after the sale help is fantastic.

Kohle, Jake, and shop guys provide you an excellent service for your C6 Z06 Corvette! I installed CNC ported LS7 Package 4 heads with Moldstar90 valve guides & CHE rocker arm, along with 116 AHP Camshaft kit. Now it pulls 100 more ponies with much more bottom end torque! So far no drivability issue and surprisingly feel smoother than stock with their dyno tune. This is the place to go to fix your LS7 heads and add some extra horsepower!

Took my C6 Z06 back to AHP for additional work and once again I was very impressed by their workmanship, dedication, and professionalism. Jake remained in constant communication with me, providing updates as the work was completed. I look forward to working with AHP again in the future! Summary of Work: - Flex Fuel (E85) Conversion - MSD Intake Install - Ported Throttle Body - McLeod Clutch Install w/ supporting components - Tuning

The stance looks much better with the factory rake reduced, and the ride quality still feels smooth and OEM-like. No noises, vibrations, or issues afterward. We were driving by the shop the other day and my favorite daughter in law said, "I like Romero. He's honest and fair." He proved that when he worked on her Jeep's oil housing repair.
