First time I took my 2006 mustang to Greg was to verify if work was done on my vehicle from a previous shop. It wasn't and I was able to get my money back from the credit card company. Car has never run right since and needed to get a tune Greg was able to find out that the O2 sensors weren't the correct ones and notified me immediately of the cost and gave me options I went with him to do the repairs. Problem solved he was able to tune the car and it had never ran better since I have owned it. My experience was fair and honest would highly recommend having Greg work on your car read more

Took my 2016 GT PP to Greg at RET for a known IMRC failure issue and couldn't be happier with how he handled it. Had the classic intake manifold runner control problem that's plaguing S550 Mustangs (P0300, P0308 codes, cylinder 8 misfire). Was torn between going with a pricey upgrade to a 2018+ manifold (notable power gains high in the power band via custom tune with trade off of losses in the low end) or just replacing with stock. I got on the phone with Greg, he explained the potential smog issues I might run into (especially in CA) if I went this route and gave me his honest suggestion that for a daily driver like mine, the stock replacement was the better play. No upsell, just straight talk. He sourced a new OEM manifold for a solid price, knocked out the install in about an hour with his team and had me out the door in no time (pre scheduled appointment). The car's running smooth again, no more surging/hesitation at 1500-2000 RPMs (telltale symptom of the IMRC failure). Greg gave me honest advice instead of pushing me toward the most expensive fix. If you're dealing with this same IMRC issue on a 2015-2017 GT, RET is the place to go. Definitely coming back for future work. read more

I took my car to Greg a while back and he tuned it and got it all dialed in for me. It was needed. I had a bunch of guys telling me stupid an inaccurate things. He brought me in did the job and gave me a good fair price. He did it in a few hours and car still runs good. He's a fair and honest dude. Tells you what he can do and gives you a fair price. Other places wanted nearly 3k to do my headers and tune. Whereas I did the headers myself and brought it to him for a tune. Great work and I'm happy with it. I'll be headed back for more work in the future. read more

Be extremely careful with your vehicle and parts. In my experience, Greg gave me serious concerns about parts being removed/swapped, including damaged parts being put back on my vehicle. Prices also changed without proper notice, and the workmanship was sloppy and felt like rushed, Mickey Mouse work. Straight up parts thief. I found different gen mustang parts on my mustang. Parts were going wrong out of nowhere. Serial numbers didn't match OEM. BE CAREFUL. Not even legally licensed to work in CA. Feel free to check. When you pay a performance shop, you expect professionalism, honesty, and quality work. I experienced none of that here. Just a clown and a shit show. Don't do it... Save yourself the headache and take your car to a legitimate performance shop. Racers Edge Tuning was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend them. If I could I would give him a zero star Rating to be honest. Also tried to keep the parts he removed from my vehicle saying they were cooked. He is full of shit read more

Great experience at RET once again! I have been coming to Greg for about 20 years now, from my 2003 Lightning to my 2023 Bronco, and he always delivers! Greg explains everything clearly, and delivers quality work on time. My cars and trucks always perform great and the customer service is excellent. I'll definitely continue to be back and recommend RET to anyone looking for performance work. read more

This is a follow-up review to the first review I left a few weeks ago, because I see the shop owner replied, but he isn't being honest. The shop owners explanation for the car possibly breaking a piston is that it was making too much power and the car already had too many miles. It's a 2013 Camaro SS, the engine is rated to handle 500-800 horses. After his tune the car was making 475. If the shop owner is so sure 200k was too many miles to apply performance parts to the engine now, why wasn't that communicated before he started the job? Leading up to the installation I asked the shop owner what does he recommend I do besides the mods I was already requesting and I asked if he could replace the pistons. Over the phone he told me I should get new lifters and a new timing chain and that I don't need new pistons. After the initial work was done I was told don't Rev the car over 2k and to drive on the street because the new clutch needed to be broken in up to 500 miles. The car was driven very lightly up until he tuned the car, a day later the engine blew. The morning before the engine blew I noticed a lot of thick gray smoke coming out of the exhaust that smelled like gas and the car was constantly back firing. Seconds before the engine blew there was a lot of backfiring. Besides not knowing what he's doing, he's dishonest with his pricing, hard to get in contact with and unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and find another tuner. read more

Fantastic service from Greg at racers edge. Got my car and a buddies car tuned quickly and without issues. Highly recommended

Great shop very professional would recommend to anyone. Very prompt with their service.

I took my 2019 Mustang GT into RET for a twin turbo, return style fuel system, and exhaust install. I was quoted the price from the beginning (most cost effective performance shop out of about a dozen I've called). Despite the hoops Greg had to jump through and missing parts from the kit, my quoted price was that price out the door. The install time was also extremely quick. I could tell based off the two occasions I visited to check on my car, Greg's work ethic was a very tedious and detail oriented one. He pointed out little things and went out of his way to make sure the job was done right. If you're looking for an honest, knowledgeable, and most importantly, a trust worthy shop to install performance parts, look no further. Racers Edge Tuning is one of Southern California's performance shop hidden gems. As always, thank you for all your help, Greg. read more

I was helping out a buddy of mine with his 2011 Ford Mustang GT with a Ford Racing supercharger. The car got refereed and required a state inspection. I took the car to Greg and he helped me get the right intake (had the wrong one which was not CARB legal) and helped me by advising me to contact Roush who make the same kit but with a different head. He flashed my PCM with the stock code, replaced my spark plugs with the right ones, and then he put me in touch with the Roush folks who flashed my PCM with the CARB tune and I passed the inspection with flying colors! Although the car is no longer a bat out of he double hockey sticks, it is fully legal and runs great! Thank you Greg, I appreciate your help! My poor buddy had been trying to get his car fixed for two years and no one knew how to take care of the issue! If you have this issue, he is the man to go see! read more

Well I had the option to really take May car anywhere I had even the option to go a cheaper route with a different tuner down the street from Greg. I honestly did some research and was recommended by a GM tuner to the mustang man Greg. Funny thing was he said it was even weird to pay all up front having my car at another shop. Well lets just say the other shop didn't come through and he is also finishing my transmission install. Very quick response time and well seems to be A1.. I will for sure bring back my car for future upgrades.. read more

Not enough good things can be said about Greg and his team over at RET. He has an excellent loyal customer base for 2 reasons; stellar customer service and workmanship. Greg is the absolute best! I've taken two customer cars to his shop, a 2004 Cobra and a 2013 GT500 and I cannot emphasize enough that he is THE MAN! The 2004 Cobra put down 467rwhp on his dyno and the 2013 GT500 put down 674rwhp. His tuning is unmatched, both cars run extra strong and pull like freight trains! Super safe tunes and on 91 octane. Is there a closer dyno shop to my location? Yes, bu I refuse to go anywhere else but RET and there is a reason my clientele vehicles will ONLY go to Greg to get tuned! read more

As good as it gets. Want a shop that genuinely cares about their clients? Greg is your go to.

My experience thus far has been great. I came to Greg a while back with my highly modified 2001 Mustang Bullitt. Not knowing what to expect, I trusted in the reviews here on Google to help me make the decision to call him. Much of the work that needed to be done was to correct the mistakes I had made with the installed long block from MMR. There were so many things wrong with the car that I was at a point of giving up and felt hopeless. Greg made the whole problem disappear. His attention to detail rivals anyone i've ever known to have a performance shop. He takes the time to speak with you, show you things you need to be aware of and will absolutely go out of his way to make sure the job is done, right! Greg messaged me constantly with updates and pictures during the whole ordeal, keeping me in the loop for all things necessary. Greg never sugar-coated anything and from what I saw, put all of his effort into making sure the Bullitt drove away with no issues. The car now runs and drives and I'm eager to break the motor in properly knowing that in a couple hundred miles, Greg will perform his magic on the dyno. I'm really looking forward to continuing my friendship with Greg and at this point, I simply won't let anyone touch my car except him. He's an expert at what he does and if you're considering his shop for any performance and tuning needs, don't hesitate to reach out to him, you won't regret it. read more

I was able to get an appointment right away. He initially gave me all the information for the parts that would be needed for the tune. Day of the tune Greg was waiting for me a short time but never complained. When we started the tune it didn't come with all of the new bolts needed. I was impressed with his ingenuity he was able to fabricate the tube to my intake and found extra bolts to make it a good day. My truck responds much better and I'm very happy with his customer service. read more

As five STARs represents, this place is as good as it gets! I own a 2004 twin turbo'd cobra that I had Greg upgrade further for me. I had Greg remake the entire turbo kit in stainless, upgraded downpipes from 2.5" to 3", new Precision turbos, clutch, etc. Needless to say, the car made 967rwhp due to Greg's tuning and fabrication. Other than the great fabrication/tuning work Greg did, he also was a great communicator along the build stage. He sent me daily emails with pictures and cost updates. There was never a point along the way where I was wondering "WTF mate?" Hard worker, amazing fab work, fair prices and professional courtesy... who could ask for more. Thanks Greg! read more

Greg is a top notch mustang tuner!!! I have a 1998 Mustang GT with a Kenne Bell Supercharger. I hired Greg and RET to do the tuning for my ECU. I brought the car in, and it was tuned just like he promised. The price was good and service was TOP NOTCH!!! It has been 3 years now and the car still runs AMAZING!!! Made 407rwhp/420rwtq. Greg & co. were able to tune my newly-bought 07 Saleen-engine GT. Normally, this wouldn't be a 5-star feat, but in this case, since I bought the car secondhand, there were some "mysteries". For example, after it was tuned the first time, my radiator fluid started bursting from the tank. A long story later, it turns out there was an undiagnosed electrical issue, the root cause of which was an incorrectly installed patch relay (to circumvent the fusebox, as apparently there was a burnt out fuse-socket there), that was causing the radiator fan not to spin - thus the engine overheats, & water floods your garage. Had nothing to do with the tune itself (though, how it was working beforehand at all is unknown). Not only does my car run great now, but all the oddities of the car magically disappeared once the relay was fixed. Greg & co (I'd say a huge-chunk of the diagnosis credit goes to one of the employees who really knew electrical) spent about 5 hours on the car, & just charged me for the tune & some spark plugs (that I really needed). You might say that's a while for this issue, but keep in mind this car had been dealer-serviced for over 7 years, & they never got this issue fixed despite clearly trying. So, hat's off to RET. My Mustang runs faster & better than possibly ever. read more

The tuner Greg doesn't know what the heck he's doing and should not be in business. Do not bring your car here to get tuned. Fair warning. Greg had 6 attempts to get it right and charged me 500 dollars and never offered a refund. He had me going back and forth for no reason, just purely out of his inexperience and lack of knowledge. Had to take the car to another shop, they fixed the tune in 10 mins. Beware of this shop!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Wasn't going to leave a review but i need to get this off my chest. First of all, the work done on my car was great. No problems there. The mechanic was friendly and was extremely helpful. My complaint was because of a quote. I was going to take my car to gtr high performance but was quoted at racers edge for less. When the job was done, the price went up because of some motor mounts. I was told that the mounts were already off and might as well change them out. I said "sure, no problem" when I picked up the car, I was charged extra for the work. Again, it was pitched that SINCE THEY'RE ALREADY OFF, let's change them. Wish they would have told it was going to be extra in the first place. read more
