The wait was just a little long, but we were behind two large groups of patrons and a big order. The head cook, even came out to apologize for our delay in service. The sides range from mac-n-cheese and collards to normally a couple homemade desserts: the peach cobbler and strawberry cake both are not to be missed. Portions are generous. Their Friday and Saturday all-you-can-eat seafood dinner is also a real deal and good food. Red velvet cake, caramel cake, and lemon cake are hits too but less frequent in their menu appearances. Ford hook limas sometimes show up too, slowly cooked with bacon or ham and are awesome. The painting and general interior and exterior refresh really went a long ways with me to have greater confidence in Bett's.
