    We've had this internet since it was installed in 2001 by its original company. At the time we paid…read more$20/mo for 100/100 speeds. Now, in 2014 we're paying $80/mo for 30/10 ... 4x the price for less than 1/3 the speed. And the internet. is. terrible!! It's gotten worse over time because they simply don't care. Last month I set up an outside service to ping my house every 2 minutes or so, to see how often my internet went out. It AVERAGES 6 times a DAY....and during that time there wasn't a single day my internet connection didn't drop (usually between 12 and 2am) Today, 12-13-14 (A Saturday) my internet has gone out 68 times. And it's only 8:30 PM (it dropped twice while I was writing this review) This is so stupid because who are you going to complain to? There's no accountability, and there's really nothing better. I've sent their support dozens of e-mails and have NEVER gotten a response. EVER. When you call they treat you like you're an idiot ... and YES, I have been working with computers for the last 10 years and YES I know when it's your problem and not mine. I hate Comcast, but I might just swallow my pride and subscribe because this is ridiculous. Would never recommend. Would file all kinds of complaints if they even cared.

I have had AFConnect for many years, and have had very little trouble. In fact, in over ten years, this is only the second time I have had to call for help. I have been very pleased with their service.

    ISO new internet provider so first off I tried the "chat" for customer service on their website…read more All I wanted to know is if they offered 80mbps where I live. They wanted a ton of unnecessary personal info before answering my question. Next, I called their CS Line. The CS rep answered and asked for my name. I gave him my first name and told him my question. When he asked for my personal info I gave my address and zip code as this was the only info necessary to answer my question. When I wouldn't give him anything else he hung up on me. I called again and asked to speak to the on duty manager. I was calm and polite with the reps answer of "he's not working today how can I help". I asked my question and when he asked for my info I told him all he needed was my address to answer the question. I guess my tone changed because he threatened to hang up and BLOCK MY PHONE NUMBER!!! I tried to explain my position as I was not a customer yet and felt it wasn't necessary to share my personal info for such a simple question. He continued to yell and talk over me .....I politely told him they lost my business over this and to Go Fuck Himself!!!! It's pretty simple to get pissed when you try to be the Adult and the CS rep throws a fit and refused to listen to you.

One star is being extremely generous…read more Their website is barely functional, their customer service is in serious need of training, and their products are grossly overpriced. They charge just under $70 for 100mb when I can get up to gigabit speeds for around the same price with other providers. Centurylink just isn't worth it on any level.

No cancellation fees. No price hikes. Speeds always fast." This could not be more true. Other companies are kind of scammy and have a bunch of hidden stuff...not these guys! They are awesome! Since building my house and moving in, I have been in the biggest battle with companies to give me wifi. The city is rolling out fiber to everyone, which is causing a ton of issues for people who don't have fiber available to them yet. Essentially, companies will refuse to put wifi in because "one day I will probably have fiber". The company that rhymes with infinity was horrible to try to work with, my own cell phone carrier wouldn't help me, and the city couldn't care less either. It has been an extremely frustrating process. Wasatch Broadband was recommended to me from a friend. I reached out to Wasatch Broadband to see if they were willing to help get me wifi, but admittedly, my hopes were not that high. They responded to my text in a very timely manner and we went over the details. Y'all..these people were able to come to my house the next morning! They were there like 40 minutes early and there was a whole crew ready to work on my house. I am not entirely sure what they did but I magically have wifi in my house now. The prices are dang near unbeatable, especially for what you get. There was a whole crew that came to my house and they were all super respectful. I am so happy with the entire experience. I will be recommending Wasatch Broadband to everyone I know. I can't thank them enough!

    I too am a DirecTV customer and signed up through New Star. I had a very different experience with…read moreboth DirecTv and NewStar. I was having trouble with getting my elderly V.A uncle used to where his channels were at (we get so many more than DISH! and channels we actually watch). I lost my paperwork and couldn't find the number for NewStar and just searched for the DirecTv number online. I called into DiredTv wanting some help with figuring out what to do and I could barely understand the agent on the line (language barrier) and they basically said they would have to send a technician out to me and it would cost me $40-$99. I declined, because I just don't have the money for that. Thought I was just stuck and very dissapointed. One week later I got a follow up call from NewStar just to see how I was liking my New DirecTv sytem. Let me say I am pretty embarrassed at how I treated the young lady on the phone. I vented and was very upset and she didn't interrupt me even once! She listen ACTUALLY LISTENED. Then she fixed it all right over the phone, I didn't even need a technician and that saved me time and money right there! She went through step by step with my uncle of making a favorites list and with the protection plan I had got from them they were able to send me out a remote that fit my uncles needs even better, for free ($15 plus shipping if I didn't have that protection plan). Remote got to us in 2 days and they had already setup a favorites list with my uncle and he was happier than he had ever been in his 80 years of different tv services (he is now deceased). I wish I had the name of that young lady and I hope she sees this review. To that agent if you do see this review I want to thank you and apologize again for how poorly I treated you on the phone. The main thing I have learned through this experience is to go through a authorized dealer for anything I can! Even when I didn't know it they had my back, THANK YOU New Star!!!!!
