We built a new house and per the builder had to use Williams Carpet. It was a bad experience right…read morefrom the start. The employee that helped us pick out flooring was very rude and almost acted like we were a bother. We bought dark wood flooring for the main level and it was expensive. 6 months after we were in the house the flooring started chipping and continued to get worse. It also has a haze that will not go away. I am a very clean OCD person and followed all the instructions for cleaning. We have never worn shoes in the house. It took multiple calls and close to 3 months to get in contact with someone at Williams. They sent a person out and their suggestion was to use an oil marker to fill in the areas. This was not satisfactory to us so we finally were able to get in contact with the owner. He replaced some of the boards but that was it. We now have $10,000 floor that looks terrible and we can't even get a return call. Also, the carpet is very cheaply made. We have Home Depot carpet also, it was 1/2 the price and double the quality. If you need flooring I HIGHLY suggest you go elsewhere.

They get points for being eager: as soon as my carpet came in, they were ready to install. The only downside is that it was a few days into the virus lockdown, so we had to wait a while before we scheduled them. They didn't wear any PPE, which was a little annoying after we asked them to, but not enough to mark them down a whole star. We simply tried our best to stay six feet away, which wasn't too difficult, as they were just doing a bedroom. The best part was their reasonable prices. I went to a competitor and they were charging at least double--and that's without tear-out! I would definitely recommend this business to others.

I held back per Paul's request just enough to have him come back and finish the job, yet not enough to have someone else fix the installation issues. There is no warranty nor integrity here. I would avoid using him at all costs, and unfortunately he is Rycus Floorings only and #1 guy. I waited quite a while for Heritage to install my shower, which is usually a good sign-but after the damaged tiles needed to be ordered he bailed after weeks of waiting for the new tile to come in. He agreed to pay for the new box of tile, however I am trying to find a tile guy willing to finish and fix someone else's work. Sad part is they were only a day and a half's worth of work from completion and a good review, now it's my headache.

He was also going to paint the frame when he brought the new screen. He said it should arrive by the end of the week. Over the last 6 weeks, I have called and left messages, most of which were ignored. When I finally talked to the salesman after 3 1/2 weeks, he said it would be in the next week and he'd call. When I hadn't heard from him a week after that date, he said he'd check on it and get "right back" to me. Again nothing and again he didn't return my message the next day. Luckily, I hadn't paid anything and have since found a screen online. I don't know if this is now typical of YB&D customer service. They converted my fireplace from wood-burning to gas several years ago and I was beyond pleased with their service. I'm disappointed and bewildered as to why the negative service now.
