We also got an estimate from a small business locally. Flooring America was able to beat their price. Our salesperson, Ben, was helpful and responsive whenever I had a question or needed something -- even emailing back on his day off. He explained everything in clear terms, and he gave straightforward answers to questions I had about types of carpet, how different types would stand up over time, etc. He was the only one of the four places to measure with a laser!!! Some of the others just kind of threw their tape measure around and whatever number they got was "close enough." Then they'd scribble down figures in pencil on graph paper. I think the laser is much more accurate. The carpet was ordered and ready for when our schedule would allow for us to have it installed. The installers were polite and efficient. They explained what they were doing, and they consulted me whenever they had a question about which way I would prefer they do something. They did a beautiful job, and I am happy we chose Flooring America. And I am so pleased to have my nasty old carpet out of here!

Both were more than willing to answer questions but never tried any high pressure sales tactics. They always gave us time to search the store but were always available if needed. They even measure your home for free if you want even if you are self installing. Best of all the floor we bought was exactly what we wanted and looks fantastic.

The employee that helped us pick out flooring was very rude and almost acted like we were a bother. We bought dark wood flooring for the main level and it was expensive. 6 months after we were in the house the flooring started chipping and continued to get worse. It also has a haze that will not go away. I am a very clean OCD person and followed all the instructions for cleaning. We have never worn shoes in the house. It took multiple calls and close to 3 months to get in contact with someone at Williams. They sent a person out and their suggestion was to use an oil marker to fill in the areas. This was not satisfactory to us so we finally were able to get in contact with the owner. He replaced some of the boards but that was it. We now have $10,000 floor that looks terrible and we can't even get a return call. Also, the carpet is very cheaply made. We have Home Depot carpet also, it was 1/2 the price and double the quality. If you need flooring I HIGHLY suggest you go elsewhere.

We called and they sent the owner's son out who suggested that it was an optical illusion and implied we were being nit picky. However he said that if we noted exactly what stairs needed to be adjusted and by how much he would fix it. They sent the same installer back out and he made it worse despite specific instructions! (See pics) We had other carpet stores come out and look and they were amazed at the horrible workmanship and couldn't believe it was left this way. We called them back out again and finally the owners son fixed it correctly (after explicit instructions from us). They offered no discount for our time or hassle. My husband had to take a whole day off of work to deal with their ineptitude. I would never go here again after this experience.

David called prior to arriving, once here introduced himself and staff. Asked me what my expectations were.....and then told me what I could expect. Due to a prior floor installation by another company......he expressed concern on a trouble spot but was able to work around it and make it shine! He answered all my questions, was extremely careful of my freshly painted walls and cleaned up before they left. It was refreshing to see a company show care and pride in my home. Classic Flooring in Jackson, MI installed a brand new tile shower in my home for $6400. Within 6…read moremonths tiles were falling off as they were not properly installed. They sent a fix it guy who retiled the the curb and floor of the shower, however he did not reinstall the glass properly which now is crooked, drags on the curb and cannot stay closed. Such a disappointment, they say they are not responsible. Beware!
