I was referred to them by a friend who is also in the industry, and he said they were much better than any big box store. Scott took time to understand that this job was for my cousin who has some challenges and kept working with him to make him part of the project. Costs were exceptionally reasonable and quality of product and installation was great. Thanks Scott and crew.

He denied that I even talked to him. So my husband and I talked with another salesman and he was very nice. We took another sample home. I called a few days later and told him we were interested and what kind of price they could offer us. He said he'd call back--never did. A few days later, we went back to the store to return sample and to talk with someone. No one came out of the other room to help us. We just left the sample back where it belonged and left. Needless to say, we're never going back.

He was also going to paint the frame when he brought the new screen. He said it should arrive by the end of the week. Over the last 6 weeks, I have called and left messages, most of which were ignored. When I finally talked to the salesman after 3 1/2 weeks, he said it would be in the next week and he'd call. When I hadn't heard from him a week after that date, he said he'd check on it and get "right back" to me. Again nothing and again he didn't return my message the next day. Luckily, I hadn't paid anything and have since found a screen online. I don't know if this is now typical of YB&D customer service. They converted my fireplace from wood-burning to gas several years ago and I was beyond pleased with their service. I'm disappointed and bewildered as to why the negative service now.

I held back per Paul's request just enough to have him come back and finish the job, yet not enough to have someone else fix the installation issues. There is no warranty nor integrity here. I would avoid using him at all costs, and unfortunately he is Rycus Floorings only and #1 guy. I waited quite a while for Heritage to install my shower, which is usually a good sign-but after the damaged tiles needed to be ordered he bailed after weeks of waiting for the new tile to come in. He agreed to pay for the new box of tile, however I am trying to find a tile guy willing to finish and fix someone else's work. Sad part is they were only a day and a half's worth of work from completion and a good review, now it's my headache.

We also got an estimate from a small business locally. Flooring America was able to beat their price. Our salesperson, Ben, was helpful and responsive whenever I had a question or needed something -- even emailing back on his day off. He explained everything in clear terms, and he gave straightforward answers to questions I had about types of carpet, how different types would stand up over time, etc. He was the only one of the four places to measure with a laser!!! Some of the others just kind of threw their tape measure around and whatever number they got was "close enough." Then they'd scribble down figures in pencil on graph paper. I think the laser is much more accurate. The carpet was ordered and ready for when our schedule would allow for us to have it installed. The installers were polite and efficient. They explained what they were doing, and they consulted me whenever they had a question about which way I would prefer they do something. They did a beautiful job, and I am happy we chose Flooring America. And I am so pleased to have my nasty old carpet out of here!

They get points for being eager: as soon as my carpet came in, they were ready to install. The only downside is that it was a few days into the virus lockdown, so we had to wait a while before we scheduled them. They didn't wear any PPE, which was a little annoying after we asked them to, but not enough to mark them down a whole star. We simply tried our best to stay six feet away, which wasn't too difficult, as they were just doing a bedroom. The best part was their reasonable prices. I went to a competitor and they were charging at least double--and that's without tear-out! I would definitely recommend this business to others.
