We built a new house and per the builder had to use Williams Carpet. It was a bad experience right from the start. The employee that helped us pick out flooring was very rude and almost acted like we were a bother. We bought dark wood flooring for the main level and it was expensive. 6 months after we were in the house the flooring started chipping and continued to get worse. It also has a haze that will not go away. I am a very clean OCD person and followed all the instructions for cleaning. We have never worn shoes in the house. It took multiple calls and close to 3 months to get in contact with someone at Williams. They sent a person out and their suggestion was to use an oil marker to fill in the areas. This was not satisfactory to us so we finally were able to get in contact with the owner. He replaced some of the boards but that was it. We now have $10,000 floor that looks terrible and we can't even get a return call. Also, the carpet is very cheaply made. We have Home Depot carpet also, it was 1/2 the price and double the quality. If you need flooring I HIGHLY suggest you go elsewhere. read more
