We came on a Tuesday morning and there was lots of available seating inside and out! We brought our dog along and sat outside on the patio, where our server kindly brought the dog ice cold water! We ordered a large half and half and a small half and half to see the size difference - both can adequately feed 2 people, but if you have a larger appetite, definitely go for the large pizza. The New Vermont sausage was my favorite one, with lots of flavorful sausage to top it off, but all the other ones we tried (Revolution, Margherita, Pepperoni + Peppers) were equally as wonderful. The flatbread was cooked to perfection and I still talk about it to this day. I am so sad we don't have an American Flatbread near us in NYC, because I could truly eat this every day! read more

Hello everyone, we'll our vacation is slowly coming to a end one more day here before heading back to Arizona. For lunch today we stopped by the American Flatbread for a bite to eat the food was great as was the tossed green salad & vinaigrette dressing so good. The building and interior were really nice looking as well, it's not to often I speak negative about service but today was not even close to good had to ask for drinks and for refills several times so not sure what was happening there. I do recommend going and trying the pizza as we thought it was really good so hopefully this helps in trying to find a place to eat. read more

The food was amazing and service was also tha ambiance was perfect also the food was just spectacular

Stunning restaurant with friendly people and great food. We were lucky and got a convenient open bar spot, but I do recommend making a reservation since it gets busy. We had the fungi pizza and the pepperoni/peppers pizza. The mushroom pizza was better but both were solid. They have good beer on tap. Everything came out remarkably quickly for how busy the restaurant was. Overall a great experience! read more

Ordered a pepperoni and pepper pizza. Great outdoor space directly next to trail. Good service. Love the extra sauces for the pizza, the habanero is actually spicy, so good. Good option for quick inexpensive meal on the trail. read more

I'm a little conflicted on only giving 4 stars. The pizza was so good and the service was great. I would come back for the pizza again. However, because this is more of a casual place we experienced little kids running around by the hot pizza oven and the open kitchen. We sat right by the oven where we could watch and this was very disruptive to our dinner. I was also worried they would trip the servers and their parents didn't seem to care. One other note since we sat right where you could see everything people were constantly stopping by our table to watch the pizza cook. We had many behinds very close to us as we ate as people would just walk up and stare. If not for both those issues we would have stayed so my husband could have another beer. Lastly the parking is CRAZY, they share a lot with Stowe Cider and it is nearly impossible to find a spot. If you have a reservation go early to secure your spot! I would highly recommend getting your pizza to go! read more

Large flatbread/pizza definitely good for two people. Lots of seating and space in this restaurant and I like that there are lots of options of pizza/flatbreads and drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. My boyfriend and I shared the pepperoni, peppers, and onions pizza and it was delicious. read more

We have been coming to American Flatbread for many years, however this was our first time at the AF in Stowe, Vermont. It was a beautiful and newly renovated establishment with an attentive and friendly wait staff. We ordered three large pies, one medicine wheel, one power to the people ( Buffalo chicken pizza) and one make your own pizza with jalapenos, garlic and red onions. Flavor was great, the crust was just a little floppier than I would have expected for wood fired pizza. The Buffalo chicken pizza seemed to be missing the buffalo sauce and I was a little disappointed when I saw how sparse the toppings were on the create your own. These minor dings aren't enough to prevent us from coming back again. The Burlington AF raised the bar so our expectations were very high going into this visit. The beer selection was great as usual. read more

Really, really nice place. Delicious fresh made pizza. Beautiful space inside and and outside. Excellent service. It is worth the 2 minute drive from the congested downtown Stowe. Loved it and have been back here a few times - each time we visit Stowe - all seasons. read more

Much more than a trendy flatbread/tapas kind of place. Friendly staff and the oven baked flatbreads were really, really good. Ingredients are locally sourced and they have a nice selection of beers on tap. read more

Pros: This is a very sweet spot with a great vibe. Live music, spacious interior, roaring pizza oven, large patio. The salad was fresh and delicious, if a bit overdressed. Cons: On the busy July Thursday evening when we visited, our server wasn't particularly friendly and our single flatbread took about 40 minutes to arrive. We were surprised at the sparseness of the toppings- plenty of vegan cheese, but very few peppers and olives. So even though it was great to be able to get a vegan pizza, we left a bit hungry and frustrated after waiting so long for so little. read more

We ordered takeout from this location during the Eclipse - it was tasty and a big hit!! We have a Flatbread in our town in Connecticut, and there were subtle differences which I thought I'd share here. The ambiance of the restaurant is gorgeous, centered around the warm hearth. The pizzas have great sauce and cheese, and importantly the herbs are very prominent! If you have kids that object to green things, don't forget to ask for no herbs. The service was warm, welcoming, and friendly. My only qualm was with the family salad. It was quite expensive at $40, almost double the price of the family salad at my home branch, but with far far less food. Although tasty, I don't think I'd order the salad again given the price to food ratio. read more

The Server was ok but the host was a total 'b". And don't ask for Parmesan-they will add $2 to your bill!

Maybe the best pizza we have ever had. Dare I say that, when we live in New York City? Went off the yelp ratings and they were not wrong...

Beyond the best thing I've had in Stowe. The pizza is amazing and so is the service. I'd recommend this to anyone. I don't know how people don't post about this. read more

Service was great. Kale Ceasar salad was tasty starter. Split the buffalo chicken pizza, with half no onion, half no carrot. Could've skipped the half n half as toppings were few and far between. Not much chicken a few small o ion pieces, and not sure I could actually identify any carrots on my half. read more

Really large place with a decent patio to sit at. Their "flatbreads" are essentially slightly thin crust pizza. We ordered 2 large pizzas and 2 salads for 6 people and that was plenty of food. The Vermont sausage was really nice and flavorful and the veggie special was quite nice as well. The margarita is a bit non-traditional and power to the people was a bit flavorless. All the staff were quite friendly and nice. read more

Would recommend dining in. I am thinking the pizza just doesn't travel well as it was soggy and cheese was tough/chewy. Even after reheating was not the most enjoyable. I believe the meatballs were boil cooked and covered with sauce and cheese thereafter.. Seems like a popular spot and many friends dined in so do that. The kale salad was fantastic and made up for the rest. read more

WAYYY better than we expected! Restaurant is amazing inside. Pizza is some of the best I've ever had! Go check it out!!!

Finally, had decided to go. We are picky eaters but decided on building our own pizza. We aren't fans of thick crust so this was perfect. It was very tasty. Wasn't disappointed. The warm cider wasn't overly spicy and was just perfect for a cool day. Has been added to our must list. read more

Pizza was pretty good, and I would like to give the benefit of the doubt of our server. She was young so maybe she was learning, but she handed us the wrong tables' card twice, had to remind her of our drink order. The staff in general seemed to mosey along beside the people making the pizzas. read more

We really enjoyed dinner at American Flatbread! Our waiter, Alex, was extremely helpful with recommendations and such a pleasant guy to talk to. Americans love pizza. And especially kids. Pizza was good. The mezcal cocktail was even better.

Popped in with the family after skiing all day and it was THE best decision. Service was quick, friendly and knowledgeable. Got to sit by the ovens and watch them cook the pizzas. Ordered a pepperoni and half/half of the specials and it was incredible. Our daughter never eats crust and she was stealing crust from my plate (I can only eat a little regardless of quality and deliciousness due to TMJ). Our family of 4 ate 2 large pizzas happily, then shared a brownie sundae. If you are in Stowe, this is a MUST STOP, you will not regret it. read more

We visited Stowe on a warm Indian Summer night in October and ordered, pizza, wine, and beer for my husband. We sat outside on the deck next to the warm, and cozy firepit, with overhead Edison lights and the stars shining brightly in the sky. It was heavenly! The bartender was a doll and the wait staff was excellent, kind, and friendly. The food was amazing! I highly recommend this Vermont gem! read more

Pizza was alright, loved the wood-fire touch. The restaurant has plenty seating and gets loud quickly to where it is hard to talk to the person across from you. If you like to dip your pizza in ranch don't get it here because it has a sour taste at the end. Get side of marinara to dip it in instead, it is a bit soupy compared to the thick marinara i am used too. Thin filling pizza with good crust! read more

Wonderful pizza! I got the punctuated equilibrium and my husband got the new Vermont sausage. Both came out very quickly after ordering (maybe 20 minutes!) and tasted amazing. Service was excellent, thanks to a friendly and helpful waitress. The squash soup was good but the potato skins in the soup were really salty. The sausage on the pizza was really salty also. Otherwise the pizza was delicious. The beet salad was beautifully presented. The combination of the beets and the goat cheese was wonderful. I would want to go back to try the other pizzas and get the beet salad again. read more

First trip to Stowe and we stayed at the Lodge, which is 15 mins away. This is a great place to eat and just enjoy the ambiance. There is a nice fireplace to sit by. The service was very fast and the food was amazing. I got the half "Vermont Sausage" and half "Power to the People". The Vermont sausage is definitely my favorite. It's the perfect blend of salty and sweet. The power to the people is Buffalo chicken, which is always a great choice. I would definitely come back again after snowboarding all day. We also had the brownie sundae and devoured it. That's how good it was! It was on the special menu. read more
