I came across American Fire Protection Systems from previous positive reviews. Went ahead and did some repairs to a couple leaky shut off valves on a sprinkler system. Danny responded quickly and set up the work that day. The crew did a terrific job! Danny and the crews were straight forward and followed through with their work and price. Will definitely plan to work with them again. read more

Danny and the onsite team he sent did a great job replacing our condo's sprinkler heads with new, recessed ones. Even when it required extra work to get it just right due to difficulties that naturally arose in an older building, they came back until it was done right. Nice to find a vendor who is totally honest and accountable for their work. read more

I highly recommend American Fire Protection Systems. When I had a pipe leak that turned out to be the sprinkler system pipe, they were the only ones who knew how to shut the water off. Golden State Water didn't call back until hours and hours after I reported a water leak emergency, and the regular plumber who came out (while a really excellent person) unfortunately didn't have the licensing or training on how to solve this. The team at AFPS hopped on a FaceTime call with me and talked me through locating and shutting off the water and open the drain valve to prevent further water damage. Afterwards, they were able to come out and fix the specialized pipe. Their price was reasonable, they had a positive attitude throughout, and even identified a problem with the build where it looks like the builder didn't put a nail plate in the stud to protect the pipe. They installed a nail plate at no added cost at their own expense. Overall, they solved what was a quickly growing disaster and I am very grateful for their support. Also, although I'm leaving a glowing review--they never asked for a review. They didn't offer freebies of any kind for a review like I've seen with some other businesses. These guys are the real deal and they'd be the first ones I'd call if I ever had a similar issue in the future. Thanks for your help, AFPS! read more

American Fire Protection Systems - After - Fire Protection Services Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I had a great experience with American Fire Protection Systems, Inc. from start to finish. I initially spoke with Danny over the phone regarding residential fire sprinkler work at my home, and he was incredibly informative, kind, and professional. He took the time to provide thoughtful feedback and guidance, and even offered to FaceTime with me so I could walk him through the scope of work. That alone gave me a lot of confidence. Danny put my mind at ease knowing the work--simply capping off a fire sprinkler--would be handled correctly, safely, and fully up to code by a licensed professional. Scheduling was seamless, and they were able to send a technician out first thing the very next morning at 7:00 AM. Erik, the service technician, arrived right on time and was equally professional and knowledgeable. He assessed the situation, confirmed what needed to be done, clearly explained the process and timeline, and got right to work. His work was quick, efficient, and clean, and he was someone I felt completely comfortable having in my home. I would absolutely use American Fire Protection Systems again for any future fire sprinkler needs and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a company that values professionalism, competency, efficiency, and outstanding customer service. read more

Your search is over, I did the research for you. I reached out to 8 companies. Danny and American Fire were the most responsive, offered the most competitive quote that was the easiest to understand, with options for different levels of service, offered so much advice BEFORE we even hired them, and when we hired them, had an amazing technician that made this part of my large-scale renovation VERY easy. Showed up early to appointments and to inspections. Extremely communicative. Again, your search is over. Reach out to them, ask questions, and hire them. There is zero chance you'll receive anything but amazing service. read more

I had a stellar experience with Danny Bahr, the manager, exploring ideas and details of my project. Danny gave me a lot of insight into costs, strategies, and specifics that I could've easily overlooked in getting a fire sprinkler system. He took the necessary preliminary time to explain everything I needed to know without me even paying him a dime. Truly generous and sympathetic, Danny impressed me with his professionalism and dedicated attention to my project. Thanks again, Danny. You're awesome read more

This company is absolutely wonderful. I had a leak break out from the fire sprinkler system in the house I'm renting out and it was a nightmare trying to get the landlord to find someone to fix it. Fortunately, I found this company and Simon was extremely helpful from the moment I talked to him on the phone. The leak was repaired quickly and the technician was also very friendly. I will absolutely recommend this business in the future. read more

I would recommend these guys to my mamma. ;) They are fast, efficient, and professional. They arrived on time and did an excellent job lowering old sprinkles to fit a new t-bar ceiling. We are calling them back to service the rest of our property. Simon always picks up and answers all the questions right away. read more

I returned home late last night to a leak in my bedroom ceiling. The water was pouring out of one of the sprinklers and there was a large water blister in the ceiling next to it. My husband popped the blister to release the water and turned off the main water value to the house. I found American Fire Protection Systems via Yelp. I emailed the company at 11:40 PM and a technician arrived this morning at 8:30! It turned out to be an air conditioner pipe, nothing related to the sprinkler system but it was worth the $100 to have someone respond so quickly and efficiently. I hope I never have a fire sprinkler problem but, if I do, I know who to call. read more

I had a leaky sprinkler on a Sunday and didn't realize only a specialist can touch a sprinkler system. I called and Simon immediately picked up. He apologized but said that he didn't have anyone available. I had no luck finding anyone else and called him back to ask again. This time he said he'd see what he could do. Needless to say 1.5 hours later my sprinkler was fixed. The tech was friendly and spent time explaining everything to me. 100% amazing service. Thanks guys!! read more

Simon and his team quoted the job, came and did the job, handled the inspections and plans, and it all got done without any fuss. In an environment where dubious contractors seem to be everywhere, this is one of the good ones we used. Highly recommended. read more

I used American Fire last year to retrofit my sprinkler system as I was partitioning a new bedroom in my condo (HOA approved). Surprisingly, all other sprinkler companies turned my work down because of fear of liability issues with HOA on a fairly small scale work. One company couldn't because they were union and said residential plumbing conflicted with plumbers union? But, American Fire is privately owned, no union issues, and they were the only confident ones to take on the job. They were very knowledgeable and patient with explaining the whole process and finished the job in less than half of the estimated time (including plenty of curing time). 1 year later, my remodel is done, no sprinkler or any issues, and I highly recommend American Fire. read more

This is a great company. We had a sprinkler leak that a plumber wanted to charge me $2000.00 to fix. American Fire came the next day and did everything, including checking pressure, for $500. They've also been great about answering subsequent questions I've had over the phone, when they easily could have charged me to come out. Highly recommend. read more

Absolutely top quality service and guidance on all things pertaining to fire protection sprinklers & related equipment. High-end service at surprisingly moderate prices. As busy as Simon is with the many commercial and residential customers who wisely seek out his expert help, he treats all his customers (even a small homeowner like me) as if they were his most important customer. On a day when I know he was overseeing several big jobs on very high-end hotels in West Hollywood, he almost literally dropped what he was doing to help my solve my own "little" middle-of-the-night emergency (my guest-house sprinkler system's flow valve had failed and I couldn't figure out how to shut off the blaring alarm let alone repair and replace the broken flow valve). Simon is smart, helpful, knowledgeable and genuinely wants you to have the safest & most appropriate system for the best price. I also am pleased to report (through first-hand experience) that in the extremely remote chance that something goes wrong with your installed system, Simon promptly and proudly stands behind his work. He wants you to be happy -- and, of course, safe. read more

I used American Fire Protection Systems to install a full fire sprinkler system throughout our house. Simon and his foreman Eric were a pleasure to work with, always professional, knowledgeable and responsive. They had a great rapport with the local fire department which was really helpful in making sure the work would pass inspection without any issues. In the course of our remodeling project, we've had to deal with more than a few shady contractors but I'm happy to say these guys were one of the very few that weren't. I knew I could trust them to do what they said they were going to do and more - even better no surprise charges or change orders at the end of the job. read more

I had them over for very specialized work on my Fire Sprinkler System. They showed up on time and were perfectly professional yet friendly. Did some extra fine touches above-and-beyond what they had to do. Quoted far better price relative to 'Ninja Plumbers' and were much better qualified to work on such a system. One and done. No surprises. Thank you for your efforts AFPS. read more
