They are severly understaffed (their excuse) and don't seem able to provide adequate care for my mom who is now in a wheel chair. I have complained and they say yes, yes but ultimately nothing changes. I would be wary of any promises from them in the shopping or admitting processes. They were not clear about how assisted living works and ended up pricing us for level one and a few months after she moved in they moved her from 1 to 4 the highest level. The cost and process for determing this was not made clear to use in the sales process. Basically they promise a lot but don't keep their promises. In addition if your family members is in a wheel chair this is definately not the place for them. The apartment doors are to heavy to open on her own and if its not 9-5 on their front entrance which is handicapped accessible is not open. That is also worth know before you move in. The front desk is only open from 9-5ish on M-F and 9-3ish on weekends. When the front entrance is locked it is almost impossible for her to get out of the building or for that matter into the building. I am extremely disapointed in the quality of care. This place markets themselves as upscale independent and assisted living but I would not make the decision to put my mom into their assisted living again for what we pay there are many better and less expensive options. Seriously look elseware. They are shiny and new but they are mediocre at providing services. You can do better.

People have walked through it stepped in it and tracked it down the hallway. I go to the front desk and they say "we don't have cleaning staff right now" and nobody does anything about it.. this would never have happened just a year ago. I still have new mailbox or mailbox key, they continue to lose important mail, including checks and tax documents, they are cutting amenities and letting go of staff. You do the math. It doesn't look good and I can't recommend it.

We had an absolutely wonderfully prepared buffet and the residents there said the quality we received was normal and not for show, so that was good to hear. We had a brief tour passing through some lovely gardens and the closed campus seemed very safe and pleasant with its plantings and benches, and pets are allowed! The tour and event was for learning about the apartments and the building and hallways reminded us of our college dorms and wasn't as modern and fresh as hoped for, although they have tried to make them more pleasant with artwork and decorative touches. The little lobby and common rooms were pleasant to get one out of the apartments and wait for friend or visitors, and the bulletin boards were full of activities. They were updating the apartments and they really make the best of the space. Many have sizable terraces, but the one we saw didn't have much of a view. The staff and residents we spoke with were all very upbeat and happy to be there talking about the events on campus, transportation to appointments and events off campus, and the comfort of being where a continuum of care can be provided. They regularly offer various tours, so by all means, give them a call and see for yourself.

She lives in the memory care unit; you have to have a password to use the elevator to get to her floor. I forgot to mention, they have a tablet that you use to check in- you enter your phone number and then it asks if you're seeing your person. It takes your picture, then it prints out a label. You have to use it to check out too, security is important. I went to their Thanksgiving buffet, everyone went to the first floor and got their food. The whole dinning room was open, so family could come visit their loved ones.

As seniors age, mental and physical capacity may become diminished, but there is still so much spark in the residents I have worked with here and I truly believe it's because the teams working for the communities foster such a wonderful spirit of love and togetherness. They speak hopefully, lovingly and faithfully and it really reflects in the faces and eyes of those who live here. They are committed to loving the residents and you see it! In a time of great anxiety I was touring multiple facilities looking for a place for my mom. This…read morewas our first place and quickly became the standard I set for the rest that I toured! Yvette took me through the whole facility. It was warm, welcoming and so peaceful. Mom would be staying in the memory care. It was so safe, quiet and very intimate. It's set up almost like a Montessori school. They only take around 20 residents in the memory care. I was so grateful they had an opening for her! They have a ratio of about 1 care giver to 5 residents. They had amazing safety systems set up for caring for their residents! We had superb gentle nurses and caregivers like Arrietta and Delores! They looked after mom like she was their own. So protective! There was Pablo who at nights would stay close and talk to mom's room/door so she would feel comfortable and sleep! From the moment she arrived at Orchard Point earlier than expected, Yvette and Patty the Director took such amazing care of her. Even answering their personal cellphones late late at night on our first night there. I was expecting voicemail but they took my call and jumped into action! They quickly helped with any accommodations she/we needed. They helped us as her family find support for her! They and all of the staff in the Memory Care are a family! It felt like home. The residents mom spent time with were so happy. Everyone was active, clean, needs being met! There was not one single resident who wasn't being loved and cared for! Orchard Pointe was such a blessing for us in a painful journey! They took care of us! They took care of us so we could set back and breathe! Orchard Pointe is a Home and a Family! My mom has passed but we will be eternally grateful to have found Yvette, Patty and everyone at Orchard Pointe! They truly love and care for their residents and their families! My grandmother has lived here for the last year, and since I live directly across the street, I am here almost every single day. When I tell you the staff and residents are what truly separate this place from anywhere else, I genuinely mean it. You will not find more caring staff members who treat the residents like their own family. They are constantly looking out for everyone and go above and beyond to make residents feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. The residents here are also beyond wonderful. From day one, they welcomed both my grandmother and me with open arms and helped her feel safe and like she truly had a place to call home. They also do an amazing job organizing daily activities for the residents, and I especially love their monthly vendor market. I truly can't emphasize enough how great this place is for you or a loved one.
