The apartments are designed for older people like us and there is always immediate assistance which can be summoned if needed. We know many people here whom we have been friends with over our many years in Phoenix and we all agree that this is a wonderful place. I filled out an application and days later, I get a form email from Martina that my application was denied! I tried to phone her and try to ascertain what had happened that I was denied. Firstly it was impossible to get her on the phone; secondly, when I did get her on the phone, I was treated like a pariah, since I was denied. She refused to tell me why I was denied and asked me for my credit card so that she could refund my deposit. I can't believe this is the way a senior living community treats disabled seniors??? Guys, get your act together. So glad now that I wasn't approved as this place most likely would have been a nightmare to live at.

Her two bedroom apartment had a fantastic view of the peak, with a bit of Camelback off to the right side. She was used to luxury, and had no real issues with the way the things were run. When covid came, they locked down the facility within an inch of the law. I never heard of a single resident catching the virus, and staff members were tested very frequently. Meals were delivered to her door every day, and her biggest problem was boredom. Her health started to fade with a series of strokes, but the Terraces kept her from getting covid. We were so impressed that we could see ourselves living here or something like it when we downsize.

Though my parent enjoys it at the Manor, I've been concerned about continuous increases in the rent and fees, especially the latest increase of just shy of 15%! This latest increase seems to have pushed residents "over the edge," with several now moving out to nicer and cheaper alternatives. The Manor seems to have also lost several good and caring employees that we really liked. I'm starting to get concerned about the trends I've been witnessing. I hope these trends don't continue.

We were looking for a facility where more eyes would be on her and she could get Care if she needed it. We toured many independent/assisted living facilities in the Scottsdale and Phoenix area. When we walked in the door at Manor Village, we knew we had found Moms new home. We were greeted by Wesley Wilkins who provided us with a tour and as we moved throughout the building, Wesley knew all the residents that we came in contact with as well as employees. You could tell he really enjoys his job and every employee we talk with had a smile on their face. The entire building had a wonderful vibe and the residence we interacted with were so welcoming and friendly. We feel confident that if any emergency or care is needed, Mom is in the right place. It is now been a couple of months since she moved in and we could not be any happier. It has been such a positive experience and I would highly recommend Manor Village if you're looking for a facility that will treat your loved one like family.
