I guess you can't have it all when the old management was there they were rude. Wouldn't answer questions had expensive prices. The food was mediocre. With the new management it's friendly it's open. It's clean, but what I ordered was not the best - I ordered a grilled chicken salad. I was told it would have cheese,, tomatoes, banana peppers and grilled chicken. I was so excited - I hadn't had a good grilled chicken salad in a long time - when I got home it was a container mostly of lettuce - tossed in vinegar. Therexwere 2 cherry tomatoes, sliced pickles in it, banana peppers, a stale kind of chicken that was supposed to be grilled but tasted like barbecue sauce was on it. I couldn't get past the vinegar and pickles on a grilled chicken salad - me not knowing that pickles were on it I put my blue cheese dressing on it because that's the way I eat my grilled chicken salad. It was absolutely horrible for $10. I just didn't have the energy to go back and ask why did you pour vinegar on the lettuce and add pickles on a salad - I will not return. We were told "we should check the wings before we left" Ok, so now we'll write a BAD review. I understand that things are a little more difficult due to Covid and how each business has to operate. However the girl who's name I did not catch had the worse attitude ever. After coming in and already placing my order over the phone she pretty much asked me if i placed an order already. And when I have her the order number she rolled her eyes turned around and talked to another employee and then with an attitude gave me my total. When I placed the order over the phone I asked for extra ranch with my order (I had a 40 wing count) which I know is extra for the extra ranch. I really pride myself on customer service since I'm also in the service industry but the attitude at this location is unacceptable. This was not my first time getting this same reaction from the staff. Will not be returning and I don't recommend. Well after inquiring with my neighbor for a ride to replace the rice, I called Alan back at the dump to let him know I would be returning this food for my correct order within 20 minutes. First time being here and will NEVER come back. Worst customer service I've ever received in my life. I ordered lemon pepper wings and they gave me a wet version rather than the dry version that I'm accustomed to. I asked two different people if they could be remade and they both ignored me. One guy gave me a look as if to say, "this has nothing to do with me, you're talking to the wrong person." After being ignored, I went back to the lady who put in my order and explained to her that I wanted the dry version. She proceeded to roll her eyes and say that I should've told her I wanted dry. I explained to her that I'd never been there before and didn't know I needed to specify. Perhaps she should have ASKED if I wanted dry or wet. She got a major attitude with me, said they never ask which version you want, and refused to remake the wings. So I had to ask for my money back. F this place. The cashier didn't want to speak when I came in. So I just stared at him until he said something. This would have been the point I turned around, but my wife sent me all the way here to get some wings. I finally get more order in. There's an Asian older lady laying out bags for to go orders. American Deli is one of those places that makes me remember being in high school and college. It's not fancy or cute--just quick, filling food. I love the wings, salads, and corned beef sandwiches. While this location isn't my home location ( the Riverdale location has that title in my heart) but the Austell location hit the spot. The wings are small but I believe that makes them better- the sauce is able to seep through and they are quickly fried- hot and lemon pepper are my go-tos. I love the chef salads. They are always fresh and they never skimp on ingredients. My other guilty pleasure is the hot corned beef sandwich (double meat). Sooo good! read more
