Upon final approach to the job, their rep came out and did not take notes or pay attention to the job during our 45 min walk thru. Upon reviewing the job he repeatedly asked the same questions and constantly kept trying to upcharge the job. It was apparent Laminate Countertops could not handle this job. Perhaps they are only good at small projects. Because of the misrepresentation of their ability and lack of professionalism, I would NOT recommend them to anyone.

The team at Ground Zero were the perfect choice for the job and they provided a great experience from beginning to end. Starting with Shannon, who answered all my questions (regardless of the time and day) and coordinated services to best meet my schedule. Followed by Jose and Carlos, who arrived on time, explained the entire process, finished the job in the quoted time, and went out of their way to protect my home. After completing the job, Jose and Carlos walked me through to ensure that I was completely satisfied with their work and was also contacted by Hector (foreman) to ensure the same - it was clear that my complete satisfaction was their top priority. The tiles and thinset were removed and the floor was taken back to the original slab, and all without any dust in the home (I mean zero dust)! Looking at it now, it's hard to believe that the floor was previously tiled. I highly recommend them and will definitely utilize their services in the future.

Estimate Total: $7,814.16. (May 2018) Job was Completed the first week of December 2018. Final Cost: Stairs: $2,369 (16 Stairs) Labor: $3,136.50 (597 Square feet) $3,536.84 (Wood) Total: $9,042.34 Note: Joe said the cost of the wood went up because of the Tariffs and trade wars. This caused the wood price to go up and my final price to increase. This also includes the additional hidden cost for leveling (I will discuss this in further detail below) Joe (Owner): Very nice and completed a fast quote in a timely manner. Does not perform an on-site post job inspection. Very hard to get a hold of to fix an issue. Will not fix an issue if it will cost him more money. Contract (estimate): Very detailed, I highly recommend you read every section and have a clear understanding of the contact before he performs work. One of the hidden contract fees are leveling, Joe gave me a very not good answer as to why this is not included in the initial estimate. I was charged an additional $540 for 6 square feet of concrete in various locations. I would have been ok with the charge, he could have at least had an estimated cost. As his contracts say estimate at the top. I take the blame for not accounting for this cost, I did not think I would have to pay an extra $500. I did not take off for this in my final three-star rating. Communication: Very poor, I had issues after the job, and he would not answer the phone. I would call for a few days before I received a response. He will respond rapidly if you offer him a new job. Then he would recommend fixing the issue with the new job. None of the workers speak English very well or at all, I don't have a problem with this issue. I did have a problem when they did not re-install the stand on my cabinets. They did not understand the issue and I still have a stand not install on my cabinet. Cleanliness: The workers left wood dust daily and left a shirt and wood pieces. The workers retrieved the shirt three days after I let Joe know. Joe apologized. Workers: The workers changed twice in during the job, I would have liked to have the same workers every-day. Or at least one familiar face. Craftsmanship: I had a squeak in my floor during installation, I alerted the guys as the installed the floors. They ignored me (communication issue), once completed I alerted Joe and he had them come out two weeks later and use all of my extra wood to fix the issue. The squeak is still in my floors.

My laminate floors in my living and dining rooms were damaged during the Beryl storm and needed to be replaced. I obtained an estimate of 3 floor companies and Forsyth Floors overwhelmingly stood out from the other 2. Mike quickly came to my home after being contacted, looked over the damage and completed measurements. A reasonable free estimate was provided quickly based on the product I selected. Mike kept me updated about the project from the beginning of the project until its completion. Most importantly, my floors look simply beautiful. In fact, I quickly noticed that my new floors were installed better than the old ones that were removed. So, if you choose the Forsyth Floor Company for your flooring needs, you will not be disappointed.

I heard about Forsyth from several coworkers who had used these guys in their homes. It is a…read morefamily owned small business (my favorite kind!) and they were so nice when I went to check out their showroom. Before going to them, I checked out Lowe's and Home Depot. I was very interested in that porcelain tile that looks like wood, and both of those places did not have a large selection. Also, both places charged $35 to give estimates, which I paid just so I could get a comparison. Forsyth gave me an estimate for free, and they had literally hundreds of different options for that porcelain tile. And thinking about it, it makes sense that they would be so much more on top of stuff since flooring is their entire business, and it's only a small part of what places like Home Depot or Lowe's deal with. After they did the measure, we talked about my budget and switched the upstairs section to laminate due to some floor issues that would make porcelain really expensive in terms of prep work. They had another huge selection of laminate samples to work with and I ended up picking out this awesome color (pattern?) called Oregon Spruce from EarthWerks that I have gotten so many compliments on. I would absolutely use Forsyth again - I felt really comfortable with them working in my house and they did an awesome job on the install. Obviously, flooring is pricey - I paid a little under $7,500 for around 900 square feet of porcelain and laminate - but if you saw how great my floor looks I think you would agree it was worth it.
