I wish I could give this company a 0 star rating. If you have any choice, go with men's wear house,…read moretuxedo junction, or jos a bank. We rented fifteen tuxes for the most important day of my life (our wedding), and 14 shoes had the soles fall off the bottom. I, the groom, had one sole fall off just as I was walking out to meet my bride, and the second fall off as we were walking down the aisle after being married. If it weren't so upsetting, it might be ludicrously funny. The embarrassment and humiliation of the series of events tainted be day. In addition to both of my soles falling off mid stride, 12 other soles fell off from 8 other groomsmen. We duck taped shoes back on that we could, and the rest of us went without soles for the rest of the night. The company uses the cheapest suppliers and material they can find, and it shows. Their response after the fact was ludicrous as well. Instead of apologizing and refunding everyone for he costs of the tuxes, their initial response was to refund $20 to the people who lost shoes. We argued and eventually, the company agreed to refund all groomsmen who lost shoes, and offer $40 to anyone who did not. After 12 calls over the course of 4 months since the wedding, I am still fighting to get the groomsmen refunded. Tonight, one of the groomsman who had his shoes fall apart received a $40 refund after I conferenced in two different stores. The bottom line is, this company is low quality and shady. They constantly changed notes and prices in their system to my detriment, offered one refund to everyone, failed to give it, and four months later are now only offering partial refunds to all of the groomsmen. Do your best to avoid this scummy business. Rent elsewhere.

They have in the last month pushed me to my limits (possibly as a part of selling their practice to another conglomerate?) was scheduled for an emergency appt last week and when I arrived at the office they did not have me down (even after I received email confirmation) I was told they had me down for a regular cleaning later that week. They were able to squeeze me in and take care of the issue and scheduled me for a follow up and cleaning in a week. Over the weekend I get a voicemail that they had me down at the wrong location and could I go to Elyria or would I like to reschedule - and when I called to confirm that I could go to Elyria I was told they needed to cancel my appt. entirely and rescheduled or another day. We'll see how it goes at rescheduled appt and will update this review, but I am officially looking for a new dentist regardless. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. If they want to keep customers, they are going to have to get their act together. There are far too many options out there...

My buddy used them for his wedding and I was a groomsmen and again everything worked out fine. So this time it was my wedding and i told my fiancé that we should use them. First appointment was ok. I was told I needed to pay 60.00 as a down payment. They said I could apply that to a groomsmen tux, I said no it's ok they are all paying in full. I was told that I would get my money back then when they all were paid. Ok fine no biggie. I went back for my first fitting. Literally couldn't get one piece of clothing one. Shirt too tight, vest couldn't even be snapped, couldn't get my jacket on. Pants wouldn't zip up and looked like I was in a flood. The shoes actually fit. So there's that. I was told it happens every time. Was remeasured. Was told the tux would be in the week of the wedding. My fiancé of course was very nervous and wondered why I wouldn't get the tux before than in case we had another mishap. Was told by the rep there this is all common. If there's an issues they would overnight my stuff. Went with my groomsmen to their fitting. They all paid in full. I asked a girl there about my return of my down payment. Was told I wouldn't get that back until all tuxedos are returned. I said that's not what I was told before? She said that the previous manager there was incorrect. Again ok no biggie. Wedding week! Awesome! Yay! My stuff comes in. Go to try everything on. The pants were very dirty, white dirty stains on them that I don't think I have to explain that my worry was that they were from someone's fluids. Disgusting. I was told they would get me another pair. Thank you! Another pair comes in. I go to try them on, and they literally were the longest pants I have ever had and frayed on the bottom. I was told they would get me another pair. This is a couple days away from my wedding by the way. Multiple people in my wedding party all were missing parts of their tuxedos. The day of my actual wedding I had to have one of my groomsmen meet the assistant manager at a location in Solon so they could get about 4 pairs of pants, and a tuxedo jacket. This is exactly what I wanted to deal with on my wedding day. It's not like I had other things to do right? Well my 4th pair of pants finally fit. A groomsmen pants and jacket fit. Another groomsmen pants fit. One of my groomsmen pants however did not fit whatsoever. I kid you not, we had to buy shoelaces to tie his pants up so they wouldn't fall down. Our wedding photos with him it, they are just so bad. I look back now and yes I laugh, but it's because I laugh at how bad the experience with American commodore was. Back to the down payment! I called American commodore asking about it being returned. They said that yes I get it back, but the girl was not sure how to do it, to come in. So I did just that after the wedding and honeymoon. I go in with my bride and ask about it. I kid you not the two younger girls were extremely rude and laughed at me. With no sympathy or empathy we're like nope. You don't get it back. The down payment goes towards their measuring, and the services they provide. WAIT WHAT?! I decided that since these were the girls I worked with previously maybe I should reach out to the corporate office? Someone there has got to understand this situation and provide me with the truth right? So I sent basically all the above to them. Asking for someone from corporate to contact me, the women at the store have constantly given me different answers and have made it clear they were new, so maybe they were incorrect? I gave American Commodore another chance to help a customer. I sent the email to their website. Waited....waited...waited...nothing. This has been hands down the worst customer experience I have ever had with any company ever. I have no idea how they don't even reply to an email. Anyone I know who is getting married will be told this story and to stay clear. Absolutely disgusted with how they have treated a playing, loyal customer. I do need to edit my review. I was contacted by Dena with American Commodore and she was able to confirm that I was indeed owed my down payment back. She issued the money back to my account and all is well!! Thank you Dena for looking into this for me and proving to me there are good people out there!! You are an asset to American Commodore!

I was a groomsmen for a wedding which took place on May 31st. I went to the Chapel Hill location on…read moreMonday, May 12th to get fitted for my tuxedo. First of all, both of the gentlemen there were extremely rude to both me and my fiancée.  They tried harder to get me to sign up for my wedding than getting my measurements correct. Instead of answering my questions as expected, they took every chance they could get to give me cocky know-it-all answers. I know this because of the tone of their voices and because I wear a suit almost every day and own more than one tuxedo. I've worked with multiple tailors who have taught me a lot about the trade. When I went in on Thursday, May 29th, to pick up the tuxedo and do the final fitting. The place was a little busy, but one of the employees from the first day, the one who printed all of my receipts and stuff, were more interested in getting people in an out quickly than actually making sure everyone was taken care of. Everyone in the store felt so rushed that we didn't want to ask for any help. I walked out with a coat that was too big. The guy said that it will fit once I put on the vest, which I was told not to try on. The pants were too big. I was told, not shown, that I could bring them in with the clasps on the side. I did and they were still too big. I was told they weren't. I had to go out and buy suspenders during the wedding reception because my pants wouldn't stay up. Now mind you, all of these issues could have been fixed, but instead of doing that, the employee told me I was wrong and bragged about how good a job he did. The funny thing is that I wasn't the only guy I the wedding party that had pants that were too big. Another guy actually had a completely different dinner jacket as well. Last but not least, I had shoes that were two different sizes. If I hadn't felt so rushed, I may have taken the time to look at the bottom of the shoe. But, when I complained, the same employee said that they were brand new shoes and that I'd be fine. He didn't bother to check anything after my complaints. That resulted in a swollen foot and two days later I am still walking with a limp. So, to summarize, I received a suit that was too big and one shoe that was a size too small. This forced me to go out and spend more money on this tuxedo and be in extreme pain during the wedding and for at least two days afterwards. When I returned that tux, I was already angry, and the two rude employees were there. This was on Sunday, June 1st. After my previous experience, I realized that they wouldn't really do anything or care about my complaints so I didn't bother telling them anything. My fiancée however felt differently. She told them about the shoes and they kind of laughed it off. I am beyond furious with my experiences. This company is a joke.

My now husband even had 2 fittings to make sure everything was correct and we went over everybody's tuxes. When the guys went to pick up their tuxes there was 1-2 things wrong with EACH individual order. Groom- vest and tie did not match (patterns/color were completely different) and had the wrong color shoes. The vest for each of the groomsmen was in the wrong color, and the ring bearer's pants looked like they had been hemmed from the outside (completely ridiculous). Thankfully the guys picked up their tuxes as early as possible so they could order the stuff in for the next day (which caused my guys to be late to the rehearsal). When the "corrected" order came in my grooms shoes looked like the inside had been eaten by a dog (uncomfortable for him the whole night), his vest and tie weren't what we originally ordered but at least were the same pattern and color. Plus one of the re-ordered vests for a groomsman was the wrong size. This place is remarkably horrible at their job considering tuxedo is in their name..... Do NOT do business with this company. They really know how to stress out a bride right before the wedding. Order was placed at Summit Mall location. Picked up and "corrected" at Chapel Hill Mall
