The employees had an exceptional eye for detail when measuring us. They examined us, and knew exactly where to cut when extra fabric was a problem. They spent a couple of minutes just looking at my companion's bottom to make sure the suit pants would fit well since he apparently has a small bottom. Book an appointment. You might get less than stellar service if you walk in without an appointment, which is unfortunate. But given that our assigned employee spent almost two hours measuring us, i can see why they'd give less stellar service to walk-in customers. Touch the fabric they have on display at your own risk. Multiple customers grabbed the fabric to feel the texture while we were there, and who knows if they had the coronavirus on their hands.

They say all the right things The negative: I ordered a custom tux and two suits for my sons wedding. I brought my 80 year old dad who did the same. Despite three-four fittings, alterations, a complete remake - none of the clothes fit. They have a no refund policy and not once did they offer any other fix. The product quality is horrible and I ended up having to buy a tux off the rack. I'm down $3000+ with this awful company. I have asked to speak to customer support or a manager multiple times and have not been contacted. Such a terrible outcome. Don't be deceived by the great employees. The product is awful!!!!

I was on a quest to find a blouse for a conference. I'd give the store a solid 3. I walked in and out not particularly impressed by anything. Ambiance/Inventory: The store is well organized and stocked. There are plenty of quality fabrics - cozy sweaters and silky blouses. You'll also find holiday dresses made out of satin and velvet. Overall, the fashions seem like outdated classics. Expect to spend what you would at any department store at the mall. Personally, I cannot support the brand since they don't sell plus sizes (go up to XL). Only because I don't personally fit into any of their clothes. Service: The service is lacking. No greeting upon arrival, no suggestions to find something, no one whatsoever working on the retail floor. I found it very strange considering how attentive service is at other surrounding stores. If you're looking for seasonal holiday attire or a pretty statement piece, stop in. I won't be returning due to service and no availability of my size.

Got their new spring…read morecatalogue in the mail a couple of weeks ago and found a bunch of cute dresses and tops that I wanted to go and try on. As always, the store has a bunch of sizes (from tiny up to size 16) for you to try on. It's very rare that they run out of the popular sizes unless they're at the end of the season. The saleswomen at this location are fantastic and they constantly come in the dressing area to ask how you are doing and to see if they can get you any other sizes. I especially like the fact that they suggest different accessories (belt, shrugs, jackets) for each outfit and they have low-heeled shoes for you to wear when you try on your outfits in case you happen to be in winter boots or running shoes like I usually am! As the name states, they carry white, neutral and black stuff....but it's all clothes that you can mix and match with more colorful stuff from other places if you like that pop of color in your wardrobe. The cuts of the clothes are very flattering for all kinds of different body types and ages. I've seen everyone from tiny girls to "Rubinesque" ladies, from teenagers to grandmothers walk out of this store with something in hand that they were excited to wear. If you're looking for well-made, beautiful clothes that will see themselves through many seasons (because all of their styles are classic and won't date themselves) go over here and try some stuff on! Doesn't hurt that they have a coupon up on Yelp now for 20% of your entire purchase on March 10th and 11th, you may see me there!

Conversely, $29.99 for a great, warm fleece vest as long as you were willing to forgo the LL Bean logo on the breast pocket area. (BTW...? What's up with that? When I asked the sales lady, she said it was their "Value Line that they tried." "But it's so warm," I answered. "Yeah, it's still fabulous." ...hmmm... Speaking of salespeople, they were all over the place. Some were very patient, "I am sure that my Extra Large Tote has pockets," "Uh, none of them have ever been sold with pockets on the inside." "Yes, they have. I'm sure of it. Mine is very old." "Uh, well, that is interesting...I...," "It's vintage, it's from the 70's." "Well, I actually collect them. I have several from the 60's and the 70's and none have pockets, so, sorry," he said, taking the tote from her. (Patient for 2026, I mean). Some were not patient at all, "So, which do you want?" "Uh, I think I like the one that's all white." "Weel, do you want to get it monogrammed?" "Uh, no, I like it like this," "Really? 'Cause, it really looks great. And it only costs ten dollars. And the guy will be here in like ten minutes. And you should do it. Now all you have to do is walk yourself over to the front desk and order it." Wow. I would not have been sold. And in fact, the woman was not. But, I did walk out with a couple of nice canvas bags (one non-traditional one) that I need for secret spy purposes.

I have to say that my entire experience at Dillard's was exceptional. I'm saying this as someone…read morewho's not even Dillard's or department store fan. I'm usually a customer of Dillard's for something small or in passing. It's never my destination. During my latest visit it was actually my destination for shoes. I needed sparkly sneakers for a Sneakerball, and Dillard's had the perfect pair! AMBIANCE: This store is tucked away in Beachwood Mall. The lighting in the store and the fashions make it feel like Saks or Nordstrom, not Dillard's. Meaning it's a lot more ritzy. It has pockets of high end brands, and the entire store presents very well. INVENTORY: Dillard's recently really started keeping up with the times. Compared to its competition, it's really fashion-forward. Around the holidays, I noticed that there are a lot of very trendy dresses in relevant colors and gorgeous fabrics. They are also very well styled with faux furs hugging the shoulders or sparkly boleros. There are also exciting party shoes - sparkly, with bows, and all the shimmer! You can really envision and build the entire outfit. I was really impressed with this recent shift of modernization. I even asked myself - Am I really at Dillard's? SERVICE: The service was truly five star. I was in a hurry (story of my life) and needed to quickly located the shoe department. I asked an employee at another department who provided me with very detailed directions. She was super friendly. Staff was pleasant as I made my way through the department store, smiling and nodding. My interactions at the shoe department were similarly warm. The sales associate told me she'll be right with me, immediately found the shoes I wanted, and was extremely friendly. I observed her interactions with other customers and she was providing very personalized service. It was probably among the best customer service interactions at department stores. Seriously great service. She was also as excited as I was about my sparkly sneakers with holiday lights purchased from Betsey Johnson collection. I will say that these sneakers were pricier here than at other retailers. I paid over $100. So many people complimented me on these shoes that it feels like I got my money's worth. I would recommend a visit to this store. The setup makes it feel luxe, the service is extremely cordial, and you experience can be flawless from start to finish. Honestly, couldn't find any fault in my whole time here. I plan to return shortly to look for New Year Eve dress. I'll have to first figure out what to do for NYE. Do I need Dillard's faux furs and bow bedazzled shoes? Or something more subtle?
