Needed a suit almost last minute. Sales guy took time with asking what wanted, needed. Explained the whole process. I picked up suit on date available which was a day earlier than was supposed to be available. I tried on suit to make sure everything fit etc. Eventually went well. Suit looked great. Good quality items and found what I was looking for but I had to actively approach employees to get help when other customers who entered the store after me were immediately greeted at the door and provided help finding what they needed. I'm 6-2 and have arms that pretty much drag the ground. A 19 inch neck doesn't help either. However on the recommendation my friend I tried Joseph a Bank and I was pleasantly surprised. My job is never required me to be a shirt and tie type of guy however I do like to dress up on occasion and I've always been very uncomfortable buying off the rack as most of the shirts I purchase have to have the sleeves rolled up because they simply aren't long enough. I'm pretty sure I'm a freak of nature. Fortunately this store employees career professionals whose sole job it is to make sure they have something that fits you and fit you nicely. most shirts I buy to accommodate my neck size are also massive tents around the belly which I simply don't need so they found me a cut of shirt that fit me very nicely. Also I was able to get a sport coat as well but it did have to be tailored in due to my shoulder with however I didn't need the width around the waist thank God. While I was there I tried on a couple pairs of jeans and a nice pair of shoes that I totally didn't pick out myself this guy picked out for me. It's nice having someone else tell you what looks nice. I'm totally comfortable in a sweatshirt and jeans but I found out otherwise here that I can dress better. most of the items for sale in the store are buy one get one free however they were able to accommodate my need for only one of the items and cut the price in half so I did not have to get a second item. be advised that this is not a low-cost or entry-level clothing store many of the items are on the pricey side. read more

Bought suit which was a good price. African American sales people were great. But I came to pick up the suit with somebody different. The suit didn't fit right and had a big wrinkle through the shoulder and a wrinkle across the neck. Have to come back when the seamstress is there (during the day). Snuck out of work to go. Seamstress said it was because of my shoulders and she couldnt fix it. It looks rediculous. Shoulder has a lump in it. She tried to tell me it's because of my shoulders. I have 5 other suits that don't do this. I had already paid for it so there wasn't much I could do about it and she refuses to fix it. I will probably never wear it because it looks so stupid. It sails lady there that day too who handed me the suit didn't even say thanks. I will never be back . It's amazing they say it's my shoulders but I can buy a suit down the street that fits fine. If its my Shoulders why would there be a wrinkle and only one shoulder? You can see the wrinkle while hanging on the hanger. read more

This is the best suit place and John is one of the best managers I have ever met at a suite place. Peggy was very helpful as well. I was left my suit at home and was in Cleveland so I frantically called around to a bunch of suit places; none of which had a tailor on hand to hem the pants then called Joseph a banks and talked to John who said if I came in the next hour their tailor could hem the pants. I was ecstatic and came in and was then helped by John who helped me for an hour and helped me pick out my suit shirt and tie combo. All around extremely nice and helpful and then gave me a discount as well; all on top of saving me a 6 hour drive to go pick up my other suit from home (would never happen due to my time constraints on the meeting the next day). I like Jos A Bank for their no-iron dress shirts. I shop there already knowing what I'm looking for, typically taking advantage of a sale opportunity, like my last visit when their Traveler dress shirts were 3-for-$99. The times I've been to this store at Legacy Village and their Tampa, Florida store I have found the associates to be very courteous and helpful. I won't go to any store when it's crazy busy, so I've only been in Jos A Bank when it's been moderately busy at worst. The experiences have all been good. I've purchased several sportcoats from them, so not just dress shirts, and the sportcoats required being properly fitted and buttons changed out. The service was good and I was pleased with the results. My only complaint with this store is with accessibility. It's tucked away in the village and unless you know where to park, it can be a bit tough to find. read more

I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!! Before I even tried on and pants I met with the manager to explain that I'd just returned two pairs of dress pants to another store because they weren't pressed. They looked like an elephant sat on them. I was assured that Jos Banks would not do this. WRONG! The pants I tried on and purchased were wrinkled, but they were supposed to have been pressed when I picked them up at the store after alterations. Both pairs looked like dreck! Never pressed. Unbelievable place.... My boyfriend was looking for a nice suit. So, we decided to go to JoS. A. Bank in Legacy Village. I know this is a fancy, uppity shopping place that is catering to rich people. But I expected the same treatment even though we are not rich... We went in about 5 pm on Sunday. There was NO customers in the store. But there were about 5-6 sales associates. NONE OF THEM helped us. NONE OF THEM greeted us. NONE OF THEM spoke to us. We were picking up their sweaters and shirts, ties, etc, obviously interested in their items. We were there for about 15 minutes, walking through the entire store...passed all of those 5 -6 sales associates as we walked through. NONE OF THEM acknowledged us. My boyfriend got pissed off at their lack of customer services, so he sarcastically said, "thank you for helping us" as we walked toward the front door to leave. One of the sales associates actually said, "sure....." Were we supposed to beg for their assistance? Did we not fit the profile of people who shops there? They didn't think a young "colored" people can shop at their fine establishment? Last time I checked, his $100 bills had the same Benjamin like everybody else. read more

Stopped by the store for a tux measurements at about 15 minutes before closing. There was no one but me in the store, but they said it's their policy not to take tux measurements 1/2 hour before closing. In addition, they said it would be a rush to get it next weekend, which instead of seeing this as an opportunity for excellent customer service and squeeze me in, they sent me on my way. This isn't the first problem I have had with this store (provided a suit where coat and pants were different colors, etc.), and this experience is very consistent with my experience with this store. Go somewhere else if you can. read more

Always crowded, and they are perpetually short-staffed. If a place has a business plan of eternal sales, then they've got to keep people floating around, especially in a men's clothing store such as this. The workers who *are* available are usually quite good, but good luck getting a hold of one. That said, their deals are phenomenal. I just got three Oxfords for $47 and a $800 suit for $197. But you can always go online for their deals, and apparently the other locations around town are not so crowded/impersonal. read more

For the money, I felt that I got a nice deal on 3 suits. The service was very good, and I felt comfortable about my fitting. I think it takes too long for them to do the alterations (2 weeks). I went to Jos A Banks to pick up a tux for my husband and was appalled by their customer service. I visited the store around 7PM on a Wednesday and waited for over 5 minutes before even seeing a sales rep. Once one appeared he did not acknowledge me, so I continued to wait patiently. Once the gentleman in front of me was helped the rep asked me what I needed - simply put "I am just here picking up a suit for my husband." Gave his name and he came back from the back after 5 more minutes and said we have nothing under his name. So I gave him the groom's name - still nothing. I then called my husband who told me he had just spoken with them yesterday and he knew it was there. The rep went in the back once more and came out and said "it's a tux - you said it was a suit." Like it was my fault! Then the register was moving slowly so he kept going from register to register (this took another 15 minutes) only to find at the end "Oh, you didn't even have to wait for that, your husband already paid." In total I was there for OVER 40 minutes -- to pick up a suit or "tux." I think it's safe to say, like Charlie Sheen, I prefer Men's Warehouse! read more

Have had nothing but a great experience here... WE were turned off by another national tux rental place and needed to find a new one. My fiance and I are not from the area so our wedding party is scattered around the east coast. After a few minutes a asssociate came over and started to put together a tux for us and offered ideas to go with our theme. WE picked a tux and were given a great discount on them .. they also offered a free suite valued at 650 when you rent 5 tuxes... So for the alterations price of 150 and i also got a suite no on sale.. i walked out with a free tux rental and a 800 suite... I call that a win... read more

Service is non existent. Made a trip there Saturday 6/1 7:30 in the evening intent on taking advantage of a buy 1 get 2 free sale. The place was just packed with exactly one other customer. Two sales associates argued at the register about how some transaction got screwed up, the third sales person helped the other guy. I looked at slacks, picked one out I thought I might like, tried it on, walked around the store, looked at their catalog and just became amazed that no one bothered to talk to me. I changed back into my clothes, checked the mirrors to make sure I wasn't invisible, and walked out. I was there 10 - 15 minutes, staff had customers outnumbered 3 - 2, I tried on pants, no one said one word to me. On this occasion I got what I paid for...nothing, and so did they. I will concur with Will Y on this one. Long waits, service was at times clueless. The guy who waited on us had a nice suit and tie but was wearing white tube socks. Tux rental had one price upgrade after the next after the next. Men's wearhouse and Tuxedo junction had better selection and out the door pricing. read more

I typically have had decent experiences at this Jos A Bank location. I can't express how great Howard Hopkins was during the fitting and purchase of the suit. I would solely come back to this location if I could work with him. However, I called to see if my suit was ready and Anna told me that it was ready to be picked up. When I arrived - I had to work with "Peggy" or Margaret. She was not interested in helping me as I had already purchased my suit. There was only one other person in the store who was being helped. I told Peggy I wanted to try on the suit to make sure the suit fit well. When she came out from the back and put the suit in the fitting room, it was completely wrinkled, looked like it had been folded and just took out of a box, and had fuzz balls/loose strings all over the suit coat. I asked Peggy why this was the case if the suit was ready and she said she would "steam it real quick." She came back and immediately tried to put the suit in a suit bag. I stopped her and asked if I could see the suit and try it on again. When she took it out of the bag, it didn't look like she had done any type of steaming to the brand new suit. I tried the suit on again and when I got out of the fitting room to show her the same wrinkles, she left and began working with another customer who was interested in purchasing a suit. After waiting for what seemed like 10 minutes, she finally returned (very unhappy to help me). She offered to steam it again after I pointed out numerous spots where the suit was wrinkled. She brought it back again and I was fed up so I just grabbed my suit and left. I plan on returning the suit tomorrow as I have the receipt. After spending thousands of dollars at this Jos A Bank location in the past, I will take my business elsewhere. read more

I bought a huge amount of sale and clearance clothing online for me and my sons. Although we kept quite a bit, I had to return approximately 20 items. Went into the store today at approximately 10:30 am and was greeted by Howard, the assistant manager. He cheerfully and professionally processed the returns. As I waited, I took note of the great service the other employees were providing to other customers. Based on my experience, I would have no problem recommending this location. read more

I have never been so disappointed by a business. I know Jos. A Bank is an off-price clothing store, but that isn't an excuse for lack of service. I made an appointment for my fiancé for a tuxedo rental for our wedding. When he arrived, he was immediately put off by a team member who was helping two ladies finish their transaction and rudely refused to accept an expired coupon. This gentleman proceeded to walk away from the register. My fiancé then flagged down a second associate to let him know he was there for a tuxedo rental appointment; this associate pointed to the first gentleman and said he'd have to be the one who helped him. At no time was any sort of check in process started; they did not ask for his name,the confirmation number, not anything along those lines. He waited 25 minutes for this gentleman to wrap up what he was doing and begin the appointment but he never came. At this point, frustrated, my fiancé left and went to Men's Wearhouse where we now have a group account for our fathers and groomsmen. We weren't necessarily counting on getting the tuxedos from any particular retailer, but I responded to an email from Jos. A Bank in order to get the ball rolling for our groom's party. If I'd have known they didn't keep any track of appointments, I'd never have bothered and gone to get walk in service at any other tuxedo rental business. Thanks for nothing, Jos. A Bank. read more

My brother in law got married yesterday and i feel the need to express the amount of stress and frustration we all went through. We all got measured for our rental tuxes well before the wedding and went in a few days before the wedding to pick them up. Not a single one was right. Im not talking a little hem here and there i mean completely wrong. All of the bow ties were red not black the grooms father could fit three more people in his shirt, the best mans shoe was broken ( the sole had de-bonded from the upper), My tux had been shipped to the Colorado store where i got measured not the legacy village store and had to be overnighted, the father of the brides tux was so wrong he had to buy one off the shelf and have it altered in order for it to be done in time. In the end we all had tuxes on for the wedding which fit but not well. We had to safety pins the pants on to the grooms fathers as they were still to big and stretch on of the groomsman's collar just so that he could breath and not pass out. When we started to ask for some compensation from the management they gave us the run around and said we would have to take it up with corporate. we were finally able to get $50 back per person which still made the whole rental $40 more than men's warehouse which to the best of my knowledge uses the same third party tux rental company. In my opinion stay away... far away. If you already have your tux rental set up there get there as early as you can as it will take them a couple of tries to get it right. read more
