That unfortunately was not our case. We only needed (3) tuxes from them - groom, best man, and father of the groom. We purchased the grooms tux in-store early in February and received all the pieces with no issues. Our other two members placed their ordered by July and were assured delivery and full alterations, on-time, for our October 1 wedding. Two weeks before, we checked-in on the status and we received multiple different communication messages from both locations that the items were to be ready at. Our best man made NUMEROUS trips to his store location to get each piece of his tux (they were wrong styles, sizes and multiple issued with his outfit). He finally received all his pieces the week before the wedding but Ticnkors was unable to have everything altered in time. We had to pay for separate alterations elsewhere and were not happy, as Ticknors offered tailoring that would be done in-time before the wedding. We were waiting on bow-ties until two days before the wedding and I believe if I had not been diligent about following up with Ticknors two weeks before the wedding, items would have been missing and incorrect. For only having to dress three members for our wedding, this was the most stressful experience of planning our whole wedding and we recommend going to Mens Warehouse instead of Ticknors. We are sad to have to submit a review like this, but the experience was incredibly poor.

Never have I felt so degraded when looking to make a dress appointment. when discussing availability for the appointment we both went went through our schedules he stated he had availability for Thursday but I specificity said that that would not work for me because I had work all day on Thursday. So he said he had availability Friday the 19th so I booked the appointment. So come time I arrive 15 minutes early for the appointment out of courtesy and no one was there. So I gave it a little more time until it was five minutes till my appointment and no one was here still so I decided to start calling the shop to see if my appointment was still happening. After calling 4 times and it being 20 minutes passed the time of my appointment I FINALLY get a call back. And it's the same guy from before and he asked me why I was there... and I was like "well we made an appointment on the phone the other day for Friday the 19th." to which he responds " no ma'am your appointment was booked for Thursday." to which I responded " that doesn't make any sense because last time we called I stated that that didn't work for my work schedule and when discussing other days you said Friday was also an option." so then he says "well on my calendar it says the appointment is booked for Thursday." Usually I'm a bit of a pushover and I give up pretty easily but I've been looking for dresses for a long time and it's really been a struggle so I'll admit in that moment. I did get a little fed up with being talked to like trash and I stood up for myself and I said "no because on my calendar it says Friday the 19th." to which he Snickers at me again and just as well we can just reschedule the appointment for another time so I agreed to another date to go back and try dresses on. but you know what after getting that phone call an hour or two later and just analyzed how that whole conversation went down on the phone I realize that I'm not gonna find my dress here, especially with how I was treated over the phone. I can't imagine how he treats customers in person Especially if their customers on a budget. Trying on dresses for your wedding is supposed to be a very special and memorable moment for the bride and I have never felt so disrespected and unwanted. I think this gentleman needs to rethink his strategy and how he speaks to people, especially potential buyers. As someone who works in commission based sales for a living I don't judge anyone by how they dress or how they speak or what their budget is because a customer is still a customer. Do better.

Lori B., manager, helped me with the purchase of my wedding dress. I didn't think I would find…read moreanything that fit me, let alone something that looked like it was made for me, so my experience with purchasing my wedding dress was amazing and took less than 1 hour. So, naturally I went back to DB's for my bridesmaids dresses. That was also good experience that went fast. My party and I heard that the dresses would be in on Sept 2, my wedding is on Sept 12. That had all of us worried. We knew some would need alterations. So we asked our salesperson about their alterations service. She said they do same day alterations and it would only cost us $25. So we didn't stress. Dresses came in and it was time to get the alterations completed. They charged me $65 for my daughters dress and said that it would not be done for 2 weeks (initially they said 3 but my wedding was in less than 3 weeks at the time of that conversation). So I asked them about the same day alterations at $25 per dress. Apparently that is not the case. Another bridesmaid dress hadn't even been delivered at the time and wasn't ready to be altered, obviously. Amanda, the manager, said she would note it in the clients file to waive the rush fee to the one bridesmaid whose dress hadn't yet come in, and I watched her type something into the computer. She and 3 other staff members were present when I talked with her about my disappointment at what I was told, versus what was true. Today, I called to be sure that my last bridesmaid's alterations happened without a charge for a rush fee. Lori B told me that there was no note in the clients file about no rush fee. Again, I panicked. But Lori said she would take care of my last bridesmaid and take the rush fee off of her alteration. I don't complain often because I also work in customer service, but it would seem to me that if it costs me $25 dollars to make an experience good vs bad, I would eat the cost. I thought Amanda did waive the cost when I watched her type in (what I thought was) "waive the rush fee." But that didn't seem to happen. I am thankful that Lori B. will waive the fee. I will give a 5 when my bridesmaid has her receipt in her hand and a date to retrieve her dress. Overall my experience was great but this one issue is a real stressor so close to the wedding. I have high hopes that things will go smooth now and that it'll all work out.

Excellent customer service and fairly priced for custom suits. They have a relaxing sitting area…read morenear the center of the store. My companion and I made an appointment. The employees had an exceptional eye for detail when measuring us. They examined us, and knew exactly where to cut when extra fabric was a problem. They spent a couple of minutes just looking at my companion's bottom to make sure the suit pants would fit well since he apparently has a small bottom. Book an appointment. You might get less than stellar service if you walk in without an appointment, which is unfortunate. But given that our assigned employee spent almost two hours measuring us, i can see why they'd give less stellar service to walk-in customers. Touch the fabric they have on display at your own risk. Multiple customers grabbed the fabric to feel the texture while we were there, and who knows if they had the coronavirus on their hands.

The product quality is horrible and I ended up having to buy a tux off the rack. I'm down $3000+ with this awful company. I have asked to speak to customer support or a manager multiple times and have not been contacted. Such a terrible outcome. Don't be deceived by the great employees. The product is awful!!!!
