I operate a local landscaping business for the past 2 years and source most of my materials from…read moreSPS. UP UNTIL 7.2016 I have had no complaints. Nick or Steve or whatever they call the owner is a real ass. Sourced 3 Ton of ROCK for a job, went to SPS as usual. Delivered but was not correct weight. I received about 2 1/2 of the rock and about 1/2 ton of fine crushed silt dust. Useless on a jobsite. Went back with photographic proof and owner blamed the quarry at every turn. Refused to look at pictures. The bottom line is when you pay a company for something, a realistic expectation is to get what was paid for. I'll source another company for this type of rock because all I got were excuses. Argued with him and finally he walked off dismissive with an attitude after agreeing to supply the shortage. Returned 2 days later to receive the shortage and got serious attitude from him and the loader. Avoid this place if you are a contractor with high standards of material. Would've given 4 stars had he shown humility in his error but his attitude and that of his load staff were piss poor excuses for service.

Unfortunately the rock that they delivered was not the rock we had told the lady at the front desk we wanted. When I called Steve, the delivery manager, he was unwilling to redeliver the rock without another delivery fee. His words were "I deliver what's on the ticket, regardless of who's mistake it is. I'm not going to eat a delivery fee". Well guess what. Not only are you going to eat the original delivery fee, but you've lost a customer and hopefully a few more through this post.

Sir Nicholas and I have bought our Christmas tree from this lot for the past two years and every…read moreyear we get tons and tons of compliments on our tree. They have a nice selection of different types of trees and the folks there are more than happy to find the best one for your needs. (Did you know that each type of tree needle has a different pro/con like a stronger smell or needles that last longer? Well, I do now.) Beyond the nice tree they also sell wreaths and those cute little reindeer made out of logs. Plus the people that work here are super nice. And, as if you need more reason to buy a tree from here, they will deliver your tree to your house and put it up in your stand, including trimming and branches that need to be taken off, for a mere $35. For me that was quite a deal. The costs run on the pricier side and of course go up as the trees get taller, but since they are a local Colorado company I don't mind paying more to support them. 'Tis the season after all...

We love going to feed stores for our chickens' feed and treats. But we thought the closest one was near Aspen Park. Weren't we pleasantly surprised! We got our chickens a new type of feed (made in Colorado as well!) And 5 lbs of homemade chicken scratch for way cheaper than Murdochs, Tractor Supply, or Big R! Plus, my chickens seem to love this Agland high protein feed way better than the Purina we have been getting from Murdochs. Another added benefit of shopping here is that it's all tax-free! The gentleman told me that's because it's considered agricultural. Plus, you can't beat small business customer service! The gentleman who helped us was super friendly and very informative. I have had the worst experiences with Wardle's and just want to warn others…read more In June 2024, as a brand new chicken owners, I bought 3 Rhode Island Red hens from them. I was not able to go into the coop with the sales associate so he just went in, grabbed whatever three hens he could get and put them in my carrier. When I got home and took them out, I noticed one could barely walk. I tried to give her some rescue 911 electrolytes in her water and access to food thinking maybe getting scooped up and put in a box and then being in a car for 15 minutes was a stress on her nervous system and she just needed some time to acclimate. I called Wardle's to tell them what happened and asked if I could switch her for another hen. The manager told me no because she could be sick... even though that meant they had just sold me a sick chicken. She struggled for weeks. We had to keep her in a separate coop and spent countless dollars on a ton of different supplements trying to figure out what was wrong with her and to keep her alive. Finally we tried Vitamin B12 and after a few days of it in her water, she able to walk normally. Although she was always a pretty sickly chicken and not even a year later we found her dead in the coop one morning (no sign of attack or any injuries). Fast forward to September of 2025. We wanted to get a few chicks to raise and integrate with our flock. Against my better judgement, we went back to Wardle's to get chicks. They only had 4 week olds and again, we weren't allowed in the room where the brooders were to pick the ones we wanted so we just told the associate how many and which breeds. We got 3 gold laced Wyandottes, a Rhode Island Red and a Barred Rock. I looked in the box and noticed one of the hens had a pretty big comb. I asked if that was normal because we definitely didn't want a rooster. They assured me it was a hen. 3 months later, our "hen" has started crowing. We can't have roosters in Lakewood so now we have to find someone to take him or cull him. It breaks my heart. Of note, since then we have ordered chicks from McMurray and Meyer's Hatchery and had really healthy, beautiful, hens. Not a single rooster. I would highly recommend ordering from a hatchery over buying any chickens from Wardle's!
