    Paperwhite bulbs ready to bloom
    Michele B.

For any floral, plant, unique decor or special gifts, ya gotta stop in at City Floral. I'm in here at least once a month for something and today was all about my annual Christmas paperwhite bulbs, which by the way have never failed to bloom. They have very nice Christmas trees, too! I swiped some cut wood pieces off of trees that they have piled up in bins, free to all, that I like to use as coasters or candle holders. I have purchased lucky bamboo, houseplants, gifts, and on and on. You can't go wrong here. They have everything green you could possibly need!!

If you are into plants, City Floral is the place for you! Located in a neighborhood, there is no parking lot. You must park along the street. There is ample street parking, but it may be a bit of a trek if you have a cart full of plants to bring home. Grab a cart when you enter, weave your way through the bloom house, the outdoor plant containers, the indoor plants, the outdoor plants and finally the gift area. Whew! Bring your wallet! You will want to purchase things for your friends and family as well as house plants too!

Amazing wonderland of everything flower and garden!! They have everything you could possibly want for the beginner to the expert gardner. They also have a huge selection of planters and gifts. Their wind chime selection is outstanding, I bought two! I think the sweet guy that helped me so much name was Chad, you can't miss him he is like 7 ft. y'all and fabulous!! This place is a gardner's dream!!

I love City Floral! I've been coming here for several years and they always have such healthy plants to choose from! I have purchased both indoor house plants here and outdoor flowers. I typically come for the spring to pick up fresh herbs and some hanging baskets. This is a local Colorado business that stocks a significant selection of hearty plants! Yes, they are more expensive than a big box store, but I also find their plants are far healthier and last longer. Staff are highly knowledgeable and helpful!! Definitely check them out for your plant needs.

I have bought plants at City Floral a few times because they are literally right up the street from my house and it is convenient. They have a good selection but for me it comes at a big cost, literally. I get that it is not a chain, but the markup on products here seems to be really high. Also, many of the staff my partner and I have encountered there aren't the most friendly or helpful - at least in a proactive kind of way. The place feels like it gives off a self-important and arrogant vibe. Combine that with prices that mainly only the entitled can afford, my opinion is to shop elsewhere if possible. We never feel good leaving this place - like we've been taken advantage of because we can afford to be. The pic is a $40 City Floral fern on the left and a $13 King Soopers fern from across the street on the right. I would prefer to buy from the mom and pop and am willing to pay a higher price, but this is extreme and doesn't feel good at all. We joke that the City Floral fern is from a really exotic place so we don't have resentment towards it.

The gorgeous plants delivered in March!

When my mom had to return to Colorado after several months abroad, and quite suddenly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was gutted to live so far away. I wasn't there to pick her up from the airport, drop off food staples, or to make the long shelter in place order a little less lonely. I was so happy to call City Floral and realize that they would deliver (for an order minimum and a small delivery fee). I gave them a budget and told them that I just wanted something that would brighten my mom's patio. They really went above and beyond to bring her bright pansies, snapdragons, and even some strawberries! Everything made it through the random flurries and below freezing weather and it's been a nice touch point to check in on her patio when we chat. I'm so thankful to City Floral for bringing a little brightness to a tough time.

Great huge garden center. Not the cheapest. Won't compete with a Home Depot. But quality and customer service can't be beat.

The backyard, which was easily 3 times the size, we used the Dry-land seed. The front yard needed fertilizer sprayed about once a month, and watering twice a day for about 15 minutes every morning and 10 minutes every evening. More water than that, and we got mushrooms, less and the sod turned sickly. The Dry-land grass seed took off quickly, and once established, it was beautiful! Thicker and greener than the sod. And it took 20 minutes of watering every 3 days! We used to build houses, and we told everyone about our wonderful grass. I'm not sure how many people actually used it, but everyone was extremely impressed. After about 2 1/2 years at that house in Parker, we built ourselves another house out in Elizabeth Colorado. Elizabeth soil is Sandy dry and no actual topsoil out there to be found. We had one load of topsoil delivered for entire backyard, which was large. (I thought that we should have gotten two loads. But I was out voted.) We spread the dry-land grass seed around and raked it in with a small tractor and hand rakes. Twice, we had torrential rains, right after the grass sprouted and started to barely turn green, that washed most of the grass seed down the hill. The third time, it finally stuck and we had a beautiful lawn, for the 14 years that I lived there, with very little water needed. The funny thing was that the bottom of our lot was greener than any other spot on our 5 acre land, because that was where all of that grass seed ended up, and it was a low spot from three different directions leading to a culvert. It was so thick that it would bog down our 42 inch riding mower. But, it looked absolutely beautiful. Out there, with garbage soil, we watered about every other day for 10 minutes per zone. We aerated the yard every year or two, after about three years, and I used the spray weed and feed once a year as well. So, I hope Arkansas Valley Seed Company still has that mix. Because it is wonderful. We had dogs and kids and adults on the grass all the time, and it was always amazingly beautiful. I highly recommend this company. Valerie Fidrich Fidrich Construction
