Had an appointment scheduled and no one shows up. Called the company and they said the tried calling me to confirm but had wrote my phone number incorrectly. Explained I travel and could they come tomorrow, they said no !! They explained they were busy and had appointments, no regards for my time of course. Had a double Gate installed in Late February. Was out of alignment in a few days. Took weeks to get someone out to look at it. Again gate is not in alignment and will not latch. Dealing with Ameridream has been far from a dream, but more like a nightmare!! Recently retired from the Army and now settled and my new home, I wanted to provide a quality fence for my loving and caring dog. On 04/18/17, the date of the quote, the sales representative was late approximately 2-3 hours. In conversation, he advised us that since we were in unincorporated Cook County, that we could waive the permit. This turned out to be untrue. One week prior to install, we get a call requesting the permit number and that if we could not furnish, we would have to move our install date. We did what any paying customer would do and we immediately took action to work with Cook County to get our permit number so that Ameridream could confirm our Target Install date. After we submitted the permit number, they confirmed our install date for 06/05/17 as per the signed contract. On Saturday 06/03/17, late afternoon, we received a message from Karen the Scheduling Manager, advising us that, our install date of June 5, 2017, would have to be moved to Tuesday 06/06/17 and cited that crews were backed up. They mentioned that the work would now be performed on Tuesday June 06, 2017 and the crew would show up between 8:30 am and 9:30 am. On 06/06/17, at 10am, not a crew member has showed up to the site and no one from the company has called to inform us they would be late. We decide to call and to our surprise, they moved the date again. After several conversations with Grace, which I believe may have been the receptionist, we spoke to Karen the Scheduling Manager. She cited that the reason, they did not show up is because we were now scheduled for Wednesday 06/07/17. This is new news to us as no one informed us this was the case. She stated that they inadvertently, called the wrong inspector and upon them realizing, Ameridream called the correct inspector and found out the inspector would not be available on June 06, 2017 as they promised/confirmed in their voicemail. She could offer no other explanation or possible way to rectify other than demanding whether we wanted the job performed Wednesday, 06/07/17 or not. Of course, we want them to complete the job they were contracted and paid to do. However, she failed to assure me that they would capable of meeting obligations as they have demonstrated. How can I be assured they won't cancel on me again? This is no way to treat a retired veteran that has served this country. read more

THINK TWICE ABOUT USING THIS COMPANY!!! If I could give it 0 stars I would! I had a 4 foot tall gates installed on my BRAND new driveway... the sales rep said you won't even be able to notice us cutting into your new asphalt...... Well they installed 6FOOT POST for a 4 foot gate.. they had to cut the post down once I told the worker it was not correct. He came back a different day and used a sawsall on the post 1inch away from my brand new siding... he hit the siding, chewed up the post with the sawsall, looks like he dropped it and dented the siding right there also, the gates are uneven and droop. On top of all this I stressed to the sales rep I don't want my new driveway looking bad... when the crew left there were CRATERS Around each post! MY HUSBAND HAD ADDED ASPAHLT TO ALL 3 posts on the driveway!!!!! I reached out 3 times and they leave me hanging, now I get a letter in the mail that the ramainder of the bill will go to collections.... HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM THEM!! What a great experience. Just had a fence installed. AmeriDream was competitively priced and after getting a couple estimates I decided to go with them. Workers were right on time the day of the install. Did everything they needed to do with the village in the way of inspections. Everything was very buttoned up from beginning to end. What really impressed me the most was how they handled a misunderstanding about hardware on the gate. I was not happy with the initial locks the installers put on the gates. I spoke with Karen, one of the girls in the office, and within the hour Nick, my sales guy, called to see what the issue was. I explained to him the problem and he completely agreed and understood what I wanted. By 2:00 the next day the guys were back installing a better lock. Could not have asked for a better outcome. Recently worked with AmeriDream for tear down (and haul away) and install a new fence in Lemont. Tom very knowledgeable and explained everything. However, the fence was installed resting on 90% of the lawn. I filed a complaint with them and were very good about follow-up to send someone out. It was easily agreed that the fence needed to be raised and came out within a week or so to correct. Looks great, nice people to work with. Would recommend at this time. read more

First time home-buying can be intimidating, Bert and his team could tell I was anxious to build a fence for my dogs as winter was approaching quickly. I spoke with Bert and we scheduled an appointment, he was very easy to communicate and work with. Not only was he patient but also attentive and responded to my calls promptly. We were scheduled to get our fence installed on the 23rd of May. They called 2 days before and said that they were behind a few jobs and the fence would now be installed on the 28th. They came out on the 28th and installed about half of my fence. They said there concrete saw broke and would half to come back. After multiple phone calls to my salesman and the corporate office I still have not received a call back. My fence is still not complete and on top of that they sent me a final bill! They also didn't spread all the dirt around like they said they would. I had to do that myself. I think it is time to call better business bureau because I find it unacceptable that nobody has returned my calls or acknowledge me. read more

Had vinyl privacy fence installed. Fence instaltion was sub par, very minimal concrete used, posts flap in the wind like paper, fence wasnt even 6 months old before it fell over, and then they sent me a bill to fix it. Joe the sales guys told me stifners would be installed in every 3rd post when he came to my house and sold the job. when i asked about the stifners he made it sound like it was common practice for them to be installed so i didnt think to make sure it was written on my estimate. so no suprise they were not installed and the fence fell down 6 months later. Wasn't even the cheapest quote i recieved. Was issues on instaltion day of post not placed where orginaly told. gaps in fence and between posts had to come back out and fix it. I woudnt recommend them to anyone. Then when the fence fell over, took over a week to get a phone call back once posting on there social media. will be filling complaints with BBB and contacting a lawyer read more

They don't seem to be professionals. Putting up a fence is not complicated but it's a lot of work, and you can tell when professionals are at work even with relatively simply tasks. Do not expect good craftsmanship or service. They will do the bare minimum. They even damaged our underground electric line to the house. I'm just happy no one got hurt but they put a fence post directly over our power lines. They did call Julie and have the lines marked they just didn't plan ahead or forgot about the line. I'm really disappointed in their work. Overall I'm glad I hired someone to do the work just wish I'd of chosen a different company. But who knows. It seems with fence construction nowadays they just sub out the work to laborers so it's hard to find a good company to trust. read more

This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. If I could give zero stars I would. From my first call this has been such an unprofessional experience. This company obviously is doing extremely well and doesn't need my business. Called first thing Monday morning, no answer, left VM on receptionists VM. By late Monday afternoon, no return call so I called back. We set up an appointment for "Darryll" to come out the next day. He did show up, measured. I told him my husband and I would pick a couple of designs that afternoon when he got home. Darryll gave me his cell number, told me to leave him a message as to which ones we picked and he would get back to me that evening or the next day (Wednesday) with an estimate. Mind you, we were getting the most expensive product (PVC) and in a premium color which we would be paying extra for. We left Darryll a message on Tuesday late afternoon with 3 styles we chose. I needed 2 estimates per style...1 for the regular "Free" colors they come in and one for "Premium" color. By Thursday morning, a day and a half later, I still had not heard from Darryll. After several calls, texts and VM messages left, he returned my call Thursday afternoon. Didn't have my name right, was trying to figure out who I was, finally did and said he was sorry but his "phone crapped out" and he would get my estimates to me right away. I asked him if he got the message with my 3 style choices and he said "you better give them to me again" I asked him to please get a pen and write these down and can he have the estimates for me soon? He assured me he would have them that afternoon (Thursday). Friday.......still nothing from Darryll. Called the office , after several attempts spoke to two different girls in the office. Neither seemed to have a sense of urgency regarding my poor customer service. The first call, she transferred me to the "manager" I got VM, so I hung up and called back. No answer. No answer until three attempts later, then I was put on hold to wait for the manager to get off of another call. After 9 minutes, the girl gets back on to tell me they contacted Darryll and he would be getting in touch with me. In my previous times speaking with these girls and telling them my situation, I specifically said I didn't want to have Darryll as our salesman anymore to please give me another salesman if they are interested in my business, so why they called Darryll, I do not know. Very soon after, Darryll texts me, doesn't even have the courtesy to call, that the vendor wasn't getting back to him (Maybe call your customer and tell them that instead of just ignoring them!!???!!!!!) and he gave me ONE, yes just ONE estimate for just 1 of the three styles I picked???!!!!!!!!! OMG, this place is just a series of jokes, one after the other. I called Darryll and of coarse he didn't answer, yet he JUST sent the text. My message pretty much said that we for some reason aren't "gelling", where are my other two estimates, and if they didn't want or need my business (I was spending in the neighborhood of $8000.00) to please just tell me and I will go elsewhere. I also got the managers email from the girls and emailed him to please call me regarding trouble I am having getting an estimate from them. That email to the manager and VM to Darryll were yesterday early afternoon. It is now Saturday am and I have not heard from anyone there! Dear Sir I am writing first to you before giving any bad reports on google,Yelp and the Better business bureau. I feel that any company can have a bad customer experience but it is how they handle the complaints that describe the company. First I want to say the crew did work in the rain on the first day taking down the fence and putting up the new fence. They pulled the trailer in the driveway with the new fence. They apparently cut to close to the edge of the driveway crushing and destroying it. When taking down the fence they stacked it on the property of our neighbors. There is plenty of space to stack on our property. When they started to unload the new fence,it was stacked on a piece of someone's old fencing which they leaned against our neighbor's house. My husband had to show the crew their mistake and remove the panel. Not his job to be the supervisor. Our neighbors didn't deserve to be disrespected by careless worker. When digging the holes, they had one tape to measure the depth of the holes. When the inspector came out my husband made a gauge to measure each hole as the inspector waited to reinspect their work. Again not his job to supervise your crew. My husband had to cut some of the wood as the crew didn't have a saw that was sharp enough. He then realized he might have to keep an eye on the crew as they weren't equipped to do the job as professionals. My husband is 78 years old and on disability. This wasn't easy but necessary and he slipped on the mud and fell on the driveway. Trying to talk to the crew was difficult as only one spoke some English. The second day I started to inspect the fence as they were finishing installation. I discovered two of the three sections were wrong. They had gone to purchase more boards and get a new chain for the chainsaw. Someone had already come the day before to bring more posts that they were short. They had some panels that were shorter and instead of pulling off the boards and spacing them evenly they added a half of a board to cover the open space. This made one of the boards wider than all the rest. It looked horrendous. I tried to explain the mistake to the worker who was very upset that he had to take off six boards and adjust the spacing and do it on both sides. I don't know what he said but his tone and actions were obviously one of anger. I also found another panel with the same mistake. They did fix two of the panels to their credit. I should not have had to explain their mistakes and how to fix them. By the time I found the third,I was so disgusted with them. I will adjust the spacing rather then listen to them complain in Spanish. The gate also had a board just slapped up to cover a space instead of moving it over the hinge and putting a groove in the back for the screw to keep the spacing even. Careless work, no pride in workmanship. They did take my hose as they didn't have their own hose and one man did spend hours cleaning all the mud off the driveway. That I appreciated. We were exhausted from having to watch them to make sure things were done correctly and glad to have it finished. On Thursday as I looked out the window,I discovered they had hit the gutter on the back garage and knocked the corner off. I climbed up the ladder to fix it. Then my husband found the crushed driveway. Then as he walked out of the front of the garage he discovered they had used the front water spigot and never completely shut it off so it had been dripping for two days. They had to be told to shut the water off on the back hose and not let it run in the yard. The shut off was at the end of the hose. The man who was cutting off the top of the posts was going to stand on a bucket in the mud to cut with a chainsaw. This was so wrong and unsafe. We were not having an accident or crooked cuts. My husband gave them a ladder to stand on. A definite safety violation. This crew was not trying to keep their mess on our property and not impact the neighbors. They also took no pride in their workmanship in installing your fence. They didn't have the proper tools to do this job. The one man tried to used the drill and when he found that the batteries were dead threw them at the fence 3 times and then the same thing happened with the sawzall We had extra batteries but wouldn't offer them if that's how he treats tools. So disappointed. I hope to hear from you soon as to the damage to my property . You might want to check the pick up truck that delivered the extra posts as it drove over a large boulder and may have damage to the underneath. Finally we noticed that one of the yard lights was crooked,thinking they bumped into it even though it was at least 6 feet from the work area. I am so unbelievably annoyed with this company. I don't understand how they are still in business. We called to set up an appointment for an estimate for a new fence. They told us they will call us back to schedule an appointment, um okay? No one ever called to schedule the appointment. Then a week later a guy shows up out of the blue to do the estimate. I wasn't home at the time because no one ever called me to let me know, but I informed them that I was about 5min from the house and that they can go ahead and start the measuring and whatever it is that needed to be done for the estimate till I arrived. By the time I got there (which was less than 5min) the guy was gone. He had left his card in the mailbox so I gave him a call to see what kind of numbers he came up with. No answer. Called a little later. No answer. Called the next day, no answer, so I left a voicemail. 2 days go by no one calls. At this point I'm already over this company and know I'm not going to hire them but I thought it would be nice to know what the price range is so I can base them off of other companies since it was our 1st estimate. So I gave the main company a call. The lady informed me that she doesn't have the numbers and the file would be with the person that came out and did the estimate. I told her I already tried contacting him and left him a voicemail and nothing. So she says she'll get a hold of him and have him give us a call. The whole day goes by and still nothing. We still LOVE our Ameridream fence! We had a minor warranty issue, a board split on one of the gates where the latch bolt went in. This is not the fault of Ameridream, it was a bad spot in the 2 by 4. I talked to our great rep Nick and he had a man out the next day. Worst experience with customer service I have ever had. I requested an estimated in April. They came out within a few days and the price was great. I decided to move forward and contacted tom. He did not return phone calls or emails. I called the main number and left voicemails in which I did not get a call back. Three months later I was finally able to get a hold of tom and he came out to get my deposit and setup an appointment. He told me they would come out that weekend to install. Low and behold no one ever showed, nor did tom answer any phone calls, texts or emails. One month later I finally received a call telling me my schedule date. It was finally installed 4 months later. My experience with Ameri Dream was not good. Bert was really great and he tried very hard. I would never use this company ever again. I have to have someone else come out to repair issues that Ameri did not get right. The issues were pointed out to the owner and he came up with excuses about the work. I am now having water issues coming in my kitchen area because the the balcony was not pitched properly. The wood was horrible quality and boards that were screwed down did not catch the other boards and they are coming up now. We are missing bolts on the top balcony and we can't put alot of weight on it till we get all the bolts in that are missing. The work took so long because there was not enough workers. I had to ask them to sand down the railings because there was alot of splinters and they told me they don't do that. I did call the office about that and they were out the next day. Corners were not meeting together. Railings were not nailed down all the way and they had gaps. The owner did take a few thousand off but its going to cost more then that to clean up the mess and the other issues it caused. This deck was not worth the money we spent. read more

This company is incredibly unprofessional. My first phone call was with Juanna on May 30th. She seemed confused about how to schedule an appt for a quote, but eventually got back on the phone and told me that Nick would be out to do a quote on the following Thur, 6/7/18 between 12:30-1:30pm. There was no call to confirm the day before and I called all morning at least 8 times with no answer during their business hours on Thursday 6/7/18 to try to confirm that Nick was still coming out. I finally decided to leave a message about 11:30 asking for someone to please confirm that they were still coming out to do the quote. After waiting an hour and a half with no one showing up we called again to ask where the sales rep was? They had no clue that there was an appointment, they did not apologize, but rescheduled the appointment for today, 6/13/18 between 3:30-4:30. We were not given a name of anyone that was coming out and the person who answered the phone last week didn't tell us her name either. There was no contact yesterday or today confirming the appointment for this afternoon and as I am writing this now there has been no contact nor has anyone come to do the quote. Apparently all the shitty reviews on here about this company are true! Very, very unprofessional imo... Thanks so much for wasting our time not once, but twice and proving that you are incredibly unprofessional as a fence company that we no longer are interested in working with. If you cannot show up to do a quote I can only imagine what a nightmare contracting with your organization for installation would be like. Zero stars if we could! Where do we begin? Communication with laborers poor,their understanding of direction seems to be an issue. Had a 123 ft privacy fence with gate installed on north side of house and also a 15 1/2 ft fence with gate installed on south side of house. On the south side of house we've had extensive drain tiles, including sump pump drain tile to the drainage system installed in 2017. Before installing the fence on the south side of house instructions were given to and shown to laborers serval times where the drain tiles were located and also the gas line for the pool heater and to avoid those areas. That fence and gate do not line up straight, it's at an angle (crooked) about 12 inches off, if the fence was installed straight they would never have bored into the drain tiles not once but twice in two different locations the posts were set into. We took pictures and videos of water gushing from the posts, called and talked to the receptionist who talked to Anna the manager, sent them the pictures and videos and where told to have it repaired and they would take care of the damages. Repairs were done, faxed them the final paid balance and the proposal of work done, waited a few weeks without word from them. Finally spoke to Anna the manager who said they would not pay for the damages, that my husband told the workers to bore into those areas, why in the world would he tell them that, she was unprofessional, kept changing the explanations from the statements the workers were telling her and to us. Have talked to her several times and was always told a different story,told her we would post the photos and videos to the BBB and anywhere else that we could, she said go ahead it won't make a difference, do what you want. WHAT A RESPONSE!! DON'T use this company unless you plan to spend the whole time looking and checking that their doing the job correctly. We decided to go with Ameri Dream to install our fence. We only needed one side fenced since our neighbors all were fenced expected this side. We got gates installed also to complete the privacy all around. It took us so long to get the approval from our association and the sketches had be changed many, many times. Frank was our sales man and he so helpful. He came over all the many, many times to remeasure so we could give the association what they wanted so it could be approved! If you are considering using this company please reconsider! When we had a consultation with the salesman under three years ago we informed him our area has high winds. He assured us the fence is sturdy and it will not fall. He also stated that if for some reason it did there is a 10 year warranty on it so if anything happened they will come out and fix it for free. Needless to say that in under a year a portion of the fence fail. When my husband called them it took an extremely long time for them to come out to fix it. That portion of the fence fail again two months ago. My husband called them daily for three weeks with no reply. When someone finally answered the phone the supervisor said it's not covered now. My husband informed her the salesman said it was covered. This rude and obnoxious supervisor said he needs to take it up with that salesman. This back fourth banter has been going on for two months now! My husband is now seeking litigation against them. Terrible company. They installed my fence and on one side they forgot to even screw the panel to the posts, they just leaned it against posts. The gate has completely fallen off the hinges and is on the ground and it's only been exactly 1 year! My neighbors have wood gates from other companies and their 18 years old and have never fallen off. I have called them numerous times and just get the run around. The woman who I spoke to Named Anna, is the rudest most unprofessional manager I have ever encountered. She not only lied to me about the company not having an email address, she hung up the phone several times and then refused to answer my repeated calls. Too bad I can't put ZERO stars....after over an hour late for our estimate appt I called them and was told Bert (the guy who was supposed to be coming to my home) was always on time with his appts abdominal that he left THEM a note saying he was running late. I never received a call from either the company or Bert...ever through this entire process! The girl, Kim, that I spoke to on the phone said she would find out and she never called me back. 30 mins later I called back just to be asked my address and with no comment put on hold for 10 mins before I hung up and called back. Kim then said Bert was not answering his phone so they couldn't tell me when he was coming. So I asked if this was a precursor as to how the company does business and that this was all very unprofessional as we had other things to do. I eventually told her since my business was not very important to them to cancel the appt since they pretty much already had in their own. They did not show up for the estimate. The person I spoke to when I called to find out what was going on first said the employee would be 15 minutes late then said he wasn't able to come at all. No explanation. No phone call. Unacceptable. read more

We called Ameri Dream because they supposedly install composite decking materials. The first initial call for an estimate went fine. Tom came out, showed my husband the materials and color scheme that could be used for a new deck, and stated that he would email an estimate by 5pm the same day. It has been one week, and even after two phone calls to Tom's number, and there is still no estimate in my email. The main office was called and my husband stated that he was told we would have gotten an estimate by now and wanted to know what the hold up was. The receptionist stated that the customer's information is first entered into the system and, if agreed upon, a crew would come out after a contract was signed. We asked that Tom please send the information he promised. Once again, we were told that the estimate would be emailed by noon the following Monday (today). No information has been forthcoming. Although my husband loved the composite material and the verbal estimate given (which was within our budget), we have decided to take our business elsewhere. Called and scheduled a estimate for a fence. Was told my appointment was a week later, and sales rep never showed up or called to reschedule. Unprofessional if that's how the business is run, I'm glad I didn't do business with them. Other people have similar reviews beware. read more
