I had called many places over the weeks time and ameridream was able to blow everyones prices out of the water. Our sales guy Tom was amazing he had a professional personality but yet very laid back. We were able to pick our own style and know exactly where our fence was going. They took care of the utility company. Tom also saved us the hassle of dealing with our very ignorant confortanial neighbors. They had three feet of our property and tom worked everything out for us. Fast forward. Day of install guys showed up right on time were very respectful and even asked me questions while working to double check exactly how i wanted things so it would look the way WE wanted it to. The guys did an amazing job very good and fast crew and did a great clean up after the job even walked the whole fence to make sure everything was the way i wanted it. My neighbors drunkin father started screaming at the workers calling them all sorts of names such as illigals. They took it very well never yelled back never fought. Needless to say my neighbors fence didnt get put back up cause he was insulting my workers and being a racist. I dont blame the guys one bit. Again Tom took care of talking to the neighbor and made him understand what they did was wrong. I woke up this morning walked my fence hung out in my yard didnt have to worry about my neighbors dogs biting mine.... amazing staff anazing crew price was way afordable compared to everyone. Horrible customer service! Don't bother setting up an apt to have them come out for an estimate they will just call and ask to come later then not show! I called the Joliet company office and spoke with Anne the manager to tell her my experience/frustration. "Burt" the sales man who was supposed to come out supposedly is always on time. He never called until I was on the phone with the company. He was at this point 1 and 1/2hours late. She did offer to set up another person but why bother. I am a retail manager and only get 1 set day off to plan these kind of things; so for this to happen was a waste of my day! My job is an appointment driven company and I know how important it is to make sure your staff is on time to generate both business for the employee as well as the company! Very disappointed in this companies lack of concern for new customers! Our neighbor is getting a fence installed and so we called for estimate so we could have some uniformity and get the same fence as our neighbor. Well, my husband called on his spring break and spoke to Tom and he said he would get back to him for an appointment, well almost 3 weeks and nothing. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I called the office and made an appointment for during my husbands lunch hour. Well, Tom showed up 45 minutes after my 11:30 appointment and said that the girl in the office messed up and should have given me an hour window. He said was very sorry and would make it up to us with a good price. He measured my yard and was to call and email my husband that night with pictures and estimate, well six days later that still hasn't been done! Again, trying to stay consistent with our neighbor, my husband called Tom again and said you need to come out the next day with estimate and samples of you want my business. Apparently they don't want it because he didn't come! Extremely poor customer service, hope my neighbors fence stays up with all the sitting around these workers are doing right now! read more

Just have to comment after seeing ad again that reads "All work Guaranteed" - we had a deck installed and they did not space the planks apart correctly. This results in pooling water especially during the winter. After numerous calls trying to get them to honor the guarantee with them promising they were talking to the supplier we gave up. Do not get a fence installed by this company. Had a wrought iron fence installed by American Dream in April 2015. They must have measured wrong because the fence didn't reach the end of my yard. Their solution? Just place some leftover pieces in the holes. Needless to say, those pieces didn't stay and I was left with a huge gap between my fence and my neighbors. I called America Dream and they claimed nothing looked wrong and they weren't sending anybody to fix the problem. Thank goodness my neighbor needed some work done on his fence so we had them fix the gap. Besides that huge issue, they didn't even clean up after themselves. For months after, I was picking up rocks, screws and shards of metal from my yard. Buyer beware! read more

This company deserves 0 ratings. The appt for an estimate for a small deck was set up for a week ago Friday, he was a no show. I called him and said the appt was for Sat., not so, but I let it go. It was a quick estimate, done outside, I was told what I needed to get from the condo assoc, and was told he would call Mon. to set up an appt for Tues to do the paperwork and start the project right away. I called Mon. morning to get clarification on what I needed, I left a voice mail in which I also asked for references to be emailed to me. Surprise, surprise, never heard back. I will say this, the workers that came and installed our fence did a great job, however, the office is terrible. I can NEVER reach anyone, and most times I call to make a payment, I've never met a company that doesn't answer the phones as much as Ameridream and I am trying to PAY THEM! I setup an appointment for today at 3. Left work early to ensure I was home in time for the Estimator to arrive. At 3:30, no one has shown up and I have not received a courtesy call stating they'd be late for my appointment. I call in and am told they cannot reach their Tech. I ask them to call me back in 20 minutes with an answer if someone was coming today or not. By 4 I still have not received a call. I call in again and am told they still can't reach their Tech and asked if I'd like to reschedule. Very unprofessional. I need my fence replaced after 20 years so I called in mid-May to get an estimate. Like so many other reviews I see NOW, I never heard from them. So giving them the benefit of the doubt I called again yesterday and had to leave yet another voicemail. NOTHING. I just don't get it. If you are busy, great but there is no excuse for not calling a potential customer back and at least setting up an appointment for the estimate at a mutually convenient time. DO NOT HIRE!! The process started with a friendly sales rep (Matt K), but we should've been warned off by the lack of detail in his notes, drawings, etc. because it's become an awful experience. We requested more-detailed drawings as others had provided, but the "software wouldn't work." We are currently MID-PROJECT with AmeriDream, and we are now on day ten of NOTHING happening and zero information. The installers began installing material on Sept. 22 that was _not_ what we'd agreed on with Matt. We stopped the installation and called him, and the installers quickly packed up and ran. Matt initially agreed when I said, "This is NOT what we agreed on;" to my husband, he said he doesn't remember our conversation about the materials to be used; then he told me he had been unclear about what materials we wanted, which is why we have the wrong decking. I've texted and called (as has my husband), and we are being told that we will have to pay for all new materials or keep what we didn't order, so we asked for the cost of new materials to start over; that was four days ago. I've been denied a direct number or email address to the boss, "Alex," but am told I can call the office and they'll convey a message, although he's "traveling for work a lot, so isn't there much." Be smarter than we were--use a different company and avoid these guys altogether. I went with a salesman who's a nice-enough guy, but is unprofessional and works for a completely unprofessional boss (if he, in fact, exists at all). read more

Horrible experience with this company. Was looking to do a fence, and already had a quote from another company for $18K...went to Ameri Dream to get another quote, and was ready to move forward. Tom was the guy that came out to do the estimate for us, and when he left, said that it would only take a few days to put together a quote and get back to us. After not hearing back for two weeks, tried calling the office a few times, left messages, but never received a call back. Got Tom's cell number, called and left messages there, but no call back. Then tired calling him from a work phone, he finally picked up, but didn't have much to say. He asked me, and I quote; "Are you sure you want this type of a fence?" Have never experienced this level of incompetence, and lack of professionalism, when trying to spend 15-20K!!? Do yourself a favor, and find another company for your project. read more

This place is a joke! They do not return phone calls, emails, or texts! I had Darrell come out and give a me quote on a 1/4 sheet of loose leaf paper. Thought it was strange but promised me he would beat the previous quote I received. Then when if came time to get an actual quote I got the run around. Always an excuse as to why he couldn't come out or give me a written quote. I contacted the office and was always told I'd get a call back. Nothing! Do not contact them. Unfortunately our neighbors chose to use Ameridream to replace a communal fence between our property. We agreed to the style and paid 100% on our property line and 50% of the communal fencing. The fence installation was not completed properly, the crew was given one day to complete what should be a two day install. The trim work on the cedar fence is so poorly constructed that 75% needs to be replaced. Also, our gate is not constructed properly so we are having it taken down and replacing it ourselves. When my husband called the salesman, John, he reluctantly came back to the house to look at the install. My husband showed all the mistakes to John and John agreed that the crew did a poor job constructing the fence. We are defending the crew stating that they need more than one day to install a fence this size and to do it properly. John told us that the crew was fired as a result. We were told that a refund for the gate would be issued to our neighbors when the gate is removed. The gate is on our property and we should be issued the check, not our neighbors! When I called the office to speak to the manager (Anna) I left three messages with no call back. I finally called a fourth time and spoke to her about the issue. At first Anna was willing to discuss the problem and when I started to ask when we could expect a crew to remove the gate and make the necessary repairs and replacements, she told me the contract is under our neighbors name and therefore I am not her client and then proceeded to HANG UP ON ME! My husbad and I are absolutely furious with Ameridream. I emailed the owner Alex Diaz and have yet to hear from him. There is a big miscommunication between the office and John the saleman, we are being given different information on how we are to receive the refund check for our gate. Ameridream has been quick to collect our checks but SLOW to respond to our complaints. I feel that we are being taken advantage of, they think that their clients don't know any better but we do. We are sorry that we agreed to our neighbors using this company and hope for the best when the necessary repairs and replacements are completed. We are still waiting to hear about when a refund check will be issued. I strongly recommend that Ameridream be avoided when shopping for a fence company. If Alex Diaz cared, he would contact us directly about the way we are being treated. Again, we are extremely disappointed and would not recommend Ameridream to anyone. read more

I paid for the fence $4600 after my complains that the one of vinyl gate post is shaking and lose they told me that I can buy from them Aluminum Post Insert for $80 and put it insde by my self. I check and find out that you can buy the same post inserts at Home Depot for $44.24 /piece and they should be inserted into the vinyl fence post prior to concrete setting so the it is too late now! The cleaning dirt and chips form vinyl cut on my yard is also poor. My daughter found some screws laying on the grass. Avoid. read more

Got a great quote from the salesman. Got a scheduled date for installation. They didn't call the night before as they said they would. I called just minutes before they closed and they told me that someone would be out by 8am in the morning. They showed up at 9:30am and ate breakfast, tore down the old fence, ate lunch for an hour and a half! Then finished tearing down my fence and left to go home at 4pm even though I was told that this job would be done in one day. I have two dogs and needed my fence up! Showed up the next day with the wrong fence but swears they have the right one. Forgot the rails and caps for the fence but someone will bring them out. The customer service is the worst. The people in the office are terrible to deal with. They never know what is going on and never call you back when they say they will. We got a privacy fence finally installed the next day but they busted posts but still used the posts, actually installed a fence panel that has fork truck marks all over it and they will not come off, installed two 10' gates and both are not installed correctly and are falling down. After a few days we noticed that our "privacy" fence has slats that have 2" spaces between them. What part of that is private? Had a service guy and the owner come out and look at the installation and the service guy said that the entire fence should be replaced but the owner said it was fine and that he would replace certain panels only. Even the owner was an hour late. The wood is very cheap. We described it as pallet wood. I could keep going on and on and on. The owner is supposed to come out and re-evaluate this terrible installation job and decide how many panels he will replace. I just want them to come back and remove the fence and give us our money back and we can find someone else to do it. read more

My wife and I chose Ameridream based of my parents using them to install their fence. I wish I would have waiting to book them until after my parents fence was finished. It took them 3 tries to correctly install my parents frnce and they still have not gotten the gate hinge fixed. My fence, on the other hand, came out great. Except for about a month ago. The weather heating up and for some reason my gate hinge is not working properly. I called my salesman on Monday morning and he said someone from the office would call to schedule with me. 4 days went by and no call. They called my parents house thinking that was the account in question, my mother told them they had the wrong account and I still have not ueard from them. I have called repeatedly and left messages on their company line with no response from them. They also never gave my parents their referral check. Long story short is buyer beware, this is a shady company that seems to not stand behind their work. Prices were good but in the long run not worth the headache and aggrevation. Our first interaction was great when scheduling a free estimate. The man that helped schedule was very nice and polite. However, the day of our appointment the worker showed up an hour late, after calling and saying he would be there in 20 minutes. He smelled completely of booze, and was incredibly unprofessional saying because of us he would have to cancel his appointments for the rest of the evening. Needless to say he still measured the yard and said we could expect an email the next day for us to pick the type of fence we would like. We got the email as he said and responded with our choices. We never heard back from him and after calling the company and leaving multiple voicemails that went unreturned-I finally went to their Facebook page to tell them about the terrible customer service we had experienced. I got a message back the next day to see how they could help. They were very attentive until I gave them my address and then I never heard from them again. This is thee worst company to do business with. We just wanted a fence and dog run installed. The salesman, Bert, is excellent to work with; however, the office staff is THEE WORST!! They know absolutely nothing in or outside of that office. The office manager, Ana Diaz, does not return calls, does not follow-up w/clients for resolution, with an unprofessional behavior to say the least! "Flags" posted in yard to identify underground pipes and yet the workers still managed to hit one or more of the pipes causing damage and a halt to the project. ComEd called out to fix pipes and still Ameridream Fence is a no-show to complete the work - it's June 15, 2016, already and they've been informed! ComEd even stated that the standing water in the opened posts that have been placed in the ground is not good! All materials were left unattended, exposed to the elements and damaged by constant rain, and yet, we're still waiting for resolution since April 2016! A return call or visit to the property would probably suffice but, Ana-the-manager refuses to make contact. They've even turned off the fax machine to avoid further contact. At this point, they can come and get all of their materials, oh and, plug the huge hole covered by a big black garbage bag in the yard! One of the ComEd workers almost fell into it while assessing the damaged pipes! Smh... read more
