Jason, the owner, came out on March 12, 2024, to give me an estimate on having my wood fence replaced. I asked for a quote for both another wood fence as well as a vinyl fence. After receiving eight quotes, I decided to consider L and J Construction Services and one other company. Although L and J Construction was a little higher in price than the other company, L and J Construction was able to start right away. Since my wooden fence was leaning, I wanted to have it replaced as soon as possible before it damaged my neighbor's brand-new fence. It took about one week to obtain the building permit from the village. But, once we had the permit, L and J Construction started the next day. I was told by Jason that his workers would be on-site the next day to lay the fence posts. Imagine my surprise to see the workers had not only torn down my wooden fence and laid the posts for the new vinyl fence but they were almost complete with installing the new fence. All that work in ONE day! The new fence looks wonderful - it gives a lot of curb appeal to the house. I absolutely LOVE the walk-in gate that was installed - it automatically locks into place each time someone walks in or out of the yard. This was especially important for me since my lawn service often leaves my fence gate unlatched after cutting the lawn. Now I don't have to worry about it anymore. With a…read morecouple of months, the fence boards were coming off and I had to screw in the boards as they were nailed originally. Within 6 months, the two doors were significantly warping. I called the company to let them know and so they could fix it. They told me that while the fence is warranted, they won't fix the doors. They said that is a problem with their wood supplier so they refused to fix the doors under the warranty. They wanted to charge me an additional $500 to fix the doors. I do not recommend this company as the fence was falling apart within a couple months of being built as well as the doors warping. Unfortunately, they do not stand behind their work and they do not honor their waranty.

Home owner of home i rent had me reach out to contractors to get estimates and after calling Proliance, first thing i did was state that the HOME owner has me calling around to get esitmates for rood damage. So after calling Proliance on our First initial visit we set up, that was cancelled due to guys car not starting in the morning, Than after receiving him on 2nd appointment he left without leaving me the estimate so that i can provide home owner with, but had me sign a keypad stating that it was only stating that he showed up and given permission to contact home owners insurance to discuss damages. While still waiting on estimate we come to find out that it wasnt covering entire siding of home so the home owner wanted to get an estimate for the entire siding and After 4 other missed appointments, and again home owner coming here and waiting for them and still not receiving an estimate the home owner moved on. I got 3 phone calls within a 2 week span from 3 managers of Proliance after all this mess trying to apologize and that there is a guy around the corner that can come now, but i told them the home owner moved on after they failed to show up on 4 missed appointments. Now the owner of Proliance after apologizing multiple times turns around and says "you signed a contract and well you owe us 10% and if you dont pay us I'm going to go after you and put this in collection". I told her i am not the owner or this home. and I never signed a contract, never looked at paper work, never saw estimates, i wasn't the owner and have no legal right to be making these decisions, she still said "i don't care, you signed a contract, you owe us". WOW, This is crazy for a company like this to be threatening people especially after they broke the contract by never showing up to any appointments and or providing anything to the homeowner than going after the renter. Just contacted a lawyer about this and he put me at ease and will be waiting to see what comes of this.
