Best sandwiches in Scranton, hands down. Their ciabatta rolls are perfect. I tried their meatball parm on a hoagie roll for the first time and like that the insides are hot but the roll is left soft and fresh untoasted. Been living in Scranton for just over 3 years. I've driven by this place countless times but today my wife and I decided to stop in. We were both blown away with how cute it was inside. The food was much better than expected, good portions (not too big but didn't leave me hungry either), and very nice people. Looking forward to visiting again. I came back because I remembered how good the bread was on my sandwich. There is only so much you can improve on a sandwich so when the bread tasted this good and this fresh, it really shows. Was on a quest to find the best cannoli in the area and this place wins hands down! Tried about 10 places between Allentown to Honesdale and this was the winner. The shells were crisp and fresh filled; the filling was perfect. We only tried the cannoli this time but already have plans to go back and try other things on the menu. If you haven't stopped into Amendola Deli-cious you are missing out! This sweet, little deli is a wonderful gem in Scranton! The decor is lovely with small bistro tables and traditional Italian decorations, the staff is friendly and engaging, and the food is fabulous! I always drive right by Amendola and today was the first time I actually stopped. I'm so thrilled that I did! Their italian hoagie was perfect and they make the best cappuccino I've had in Scranton since moving here over a year ago! Not to mention their desserts are flown in directly from Italy--they are to die for! I will definitely be going back on a regular basis to support this small business. Don't be deceived by the exterior! This place looks like not much, a small shop attached to what looks like a warehouse, but when you walk in, it's adorably decorated with a beautiful painted ceiling. The staff is friendly and sweet, and the food is out of this world. Imported Italian meats with great bread, their sandwiches are fabulous!
