I don't live in the area so it took me some time to find a place with goodies she would enjoy.  I placed my order around 2am on sunday night and requested it to be delivered in Nanticoke on Monday, I really meant ASAP, wasn't expecting it to be done by then, considering the late order. I called Monday morning just to see what day and time they were expecting it to be done... I spoke to Jen, who made my basket , is awesome and so sweet!! She informed me the basket would be delivered by 2pm that day!! I was so shocked and so excited! I give all the stars to this place. Great customer service and great at fulfilling their orders !! Thank you so much!

Trying to fly back to the Midwest through the recent polar vortex was a downer to say the least, but snacking on my chocolate covered sunflower seeds and smidgens made it all better. It made me so happy to return home to find my favorite childhood candy store still flourishing, filled with tasty treats, and children begging their parents for one more candy. The building has moved since I was a child, but has relocated to a charming and upcoming neighborhood, Petersburg Corner. A must stop for candy lovers.

One of my favorite things is that they sell both old-fashioned nostalgic candy and newer favorites for just cents, which is something you rarely find nowadays! They offer premade ice cream as well as freshly made options, with the choice to sit in and enjoy your treats or take them to go. Their seasonal selections are also fantastic! The aesthetic of this shop is absolutely adorable. It has that vintage, old-fashioned ice cream parlor feel that brings back so much nostalgia. It's the kind of place that makes you feel like a kid again! But what truly makes this business special is its owner. She is genuinely one of the most pure-hearted, kind, and amazing people you could meet. She goes out of her way to support her community, from hiring younger kids in high school and giving them valuable work experience to hosting community events and promoting other small and up-and-coming businesses. She does so many thoughtful things simply because she genuinely cares about people, and that kind of heart is becoming harder and harder to find in business owners. One thing to keep in mind is that this shop can get VERY busy, so be prepared for longer waits during peak hours. If you want to avoid the crowds, try visiting during a slower time! Trust me, the wait is worth it. PLEASE SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! Small businesses thrive because of the communities that show up for them, and this owner is exactly the kind of business owner who deserves that support. She puts so much love, kindness, and effort into what she does, not just for her customers but for her community and other small businesses, too. If you're looking for delicious treats, nostalgic vibes, and a business run by someone with a genuinely good heart, this is the place to go!

We love visiting Ballyhoo, but most of the time order it to go. We always seem to get 'Ash' on the…read morerare occasion we sit in. She's always miserable and makes the time unenjoyable. Don't make your customers feel like a burden. And she always puts two napkins in the center of the table even though there are clearly more than two people. You have to get more on your own. Definitely don't ask any questions bc she will be snippy and unhelpful. It's upsetting that they keep someone like this around when it's such a cute, fun place. It's a place you want to being friends/family to, but are embarassed when the service isn't good. She would make more $ in tips if she lost the attitude. The candy counter is great and you can even order candy online to pickup in store. The only thing I would change about the ice cream is the whipped topping used on sundae's, etc. It might be to fit the vintage vibe, but I don't think it tastes good and it always upsets my stomach. I'm someone who loves whipped cream, but not this type. Definitely go for the candy, the cute interior and vintage vibe.
