There were so many things to choose from, whether I wanted a candy apple, chocolate covered apple, chocolate covered nuts, pretzels, just plain chocolate bars.... I ordered some chocolates to be sent to my brother, who is in the hospital. I asked them to be sent UPS next day air. First, I receive a message stating the order had been shipped. BUT, it was sent UPS Ground. Tried to call GH, they had already closed there customer service department at 4:30 in the afternoon. A nice lady who answered wanted to hep, but she couldn't, and was very apologetic. So I called UPS. They informed me the shipment hadn't even been tendered to them. Emailed GH. Got an email back stating they didn't ship after Thursday afternoon to "protect he quality of their chocolates." Asked why then did they ship UPS Ground, since I had placed an order for myself on Wednesday, and since there was no hurry had it shipped by UPS Ground Shipment, and it won't arrive until Monday, SIX DAYS after it was placed. So much for "protecting the quality." Also asked why they said the shipment had been shipped when it hadn't. No response, then a curt message the shipment would go out on Monday. Still no answer whether it would be shipped next day air, which I had requested and paid for. TERRIBLE ATTITUDE AND COMPLETE LACK OF CARE, EVEN AFTER EXPLAINING MY BROTHER IS ILL AND IN THE HOSPITAL.

While you can still find excellent deals towards the back of the store they have expanded their selection with a nice looking candy counter, beautiful displays for the holidays and just general chocolate deliciousness. I like the quality of GH chocolates even though they are a large manufacturer based in the Scranton, PA area they still manage to have an old fashioned candy maker warmth to their brand. Seriously, look for those factory seconds in the back of the place. You can walk out with bags off chocolates and goodies on the cheap! While they may not be the prettiest of the offerings won't you give these neglected chocolates a comfortable home in your belly? You won't regret it!
