The newly-remodeled version of this theater is tip-top!! Once an ultra-fancy new cinema, the place had not aged well under the typical fail-wallowing and neglect of Carmike, but once AMC took over, they made it shine. The Dolby Cinema house is simply the best auditorium in the Nashville area to see a movie. They've revived the festive and fun atmosphere of going out to the movies with their design and tappings as well. They do feature the bullshit suburban ripoff IMAX (LieMAX) concept that's not worth paying extra for when a Dolby house is right there in the building, but otherwise, this is a very nicely re-created cinema that's worth the short drive from in-town or further out. read more

This is the only dine in theater in the area and it is a hot mess! It desperately needs new management before it crumbles! I am an A list movie goer, so I see 2 or 3 movies a week and nothing is EVER clean. The lobby! The restrooms! The theaters! The entrance landscaping looks like it hasn't been touched in years and the water fountain is falling apart. For Franklin TN this is EMBARRASSING! They constantly block out seats as if they're not available but honestly it's because they can't keep workers to help serve in the dine in theaters. Please please please step up and at LEAST take pride in keeping something clean and in good shape before it all falls apart! And don't get me started on the food. Expensive and it's just OK! I've had to send many things back to the kitchen to get it right. If it wasn't for my A list I wouldn't be going here very often! And it just makes me sad because I want it to thrive and do well. This location is super clean and modern looking and the staff seem to be knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The IMAX theater is of a decent size although I was a little let down in terms of the picture quality (I guess I've been spoiled by IMAX with Laser and Dolby Cinema locations when paying for a "premium" format). The BigD theater has been down for weeks so I haven't gotten to try that out yet and no one at the theater could tell me why. I'm hoping they're just swapping it out and adding Dolby Cinema or AMC Prime to this location. Would be a good addition since Regal has a "real" IMAX and RPX at some of their nearby locations. The theater was great, but I ordered 2 drinks, a flatbread and a quesadilla and it was 70 bucks. Okay, that's fine...but I go sit down for the movie, they bring me the food and said your drinks are on the way. Well the drinks never came, by the time the movie was done the bar was closed. So they got away with 30$ in drinks. I wonder how many people this happens to at the end of the night because they know they can't come get their money back because they are in the movie. read more

The dine-in concept could be really nice. The servers are great. The facility for dine in from a customer perspective is great. My experience last night for the first time in a dine in theater left so much to be desired. 1. Servers were helpful and did the best with what they had 2. I like the concept 3. Over half the menu was unavailable because of a "technical" issue 4. While pop corn is on the menu, the servers were not allowed to serve it. No explanation given. If it's in the menu, sell it within the concept and don't make your patrons get up and go to the concession stand. It makes zero sense. 5. $17 for cheeseburger Really? This movie theater is SUPER nice like wow! And clean. The only reason why I gave it a 4 star is because our food took forever to come we had to go and check up on it. It's like the staff was chilling back there or something and forgot us. Our food was not hot by the time we got it. Then after we received it and ate it, the guy came again with our orders but then saw that we had our food and did a 360 and left. He didn't speak to us. Today I spent $200 for 4 of us to go see 1 movie. $16 for a cocktail is insane and the hurricane was disgusting. Our food was delivered to us in a bag at our chairs and they forgot utensils, napkins and our drinks so I had to get up in the middle of the movie to go get them and missed 15 minutes of it. The food was awful as well. Everything was cold and rock hard and tasteless. I could have honestly just flushed my money down the toilet and had a better time. Everything went well for the movie, however the drink area was dirty. Where you get the lids for drinks was filthy! I tried to contact them direct and could not. They have a 100 health score from October of last year. Hopefully they can get this cleaned up! It was dirt and what appeared to be mold on all the plastic hinges covers for the lids. read more

Overpriced, overrated, bad service, nothing special. This place claims to be a dine-in, relaxing, and reclining seat paradise, but the truth is... it's just your old school typical theater, with poor sound, blown out speakers, and fuzzy picture. We ordered tickets online and were promised reclining seats, we got a very small theater with padded regular theater seats, not bad, but don't promise one thing and deliver something completely different. We decided to get an adult beverage before the movie and the drinks were outrageously expensive and poor quality. I understand theaters jack up their food/drinks/alcohol, but this was far more than I've seen at any other theater, and just bad bad bad. Almost every theater nowadays offers oversized, comfy, reclining seats, alcoholic beverages, and better than your typical theater food, this place just doesn't deliver. Treated myself to an afternoon movie. This was my first experience trying the dine-in service. The theater has been updated nicely and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restrooms were very nice, clean and well appointed. The screening room was a bit worn feeling, but this may be due to some of the recliner buttons illumination not working and others flickering- causing a bit of distraction. I sat in D-6 for my movie, and there was popcorn scattered down between the seat and the armrest. There is a faint smell of urine in this particular theater. I attribute to possibly using the same mop in the theater as used in the restrooms, however the restrooms didn't have this smell. This odor may also contribute to the sense of "worn" I had the fish and chips with a coke. No refill was offered- not sure one was included. The total came in just under $25 before tip and I couldn't really see what I was eating since it was served after lights went down. It was frozen food at best, and the cod filets were small and dense. The tartar was in a very tiny cup dispensed from a jar, no malt offered. I would rather enjoy a bite from J.Alexander's post movie for the money. The novelty didn't outweigh the lackluster fare. Perhaps they could partner with a local restaurant to offer a more tasty and freshly prepared menu, perhaps including a dessert- prix fixe? read more

Great theater options no matter what you're looking for. Food is a little pricey, but what do you expect from a movie theater? During big movie premiere nights there are fun cosplayers to take pictures with! Only issue I've ever had in the actual theater was during Avengers: Infinity War when the sound wasn't coming through at first. This place has become disgusting. Restrooms are horrible. Carpets have become so dirty even after major renovations. Seats are sticky. Floors in the theaters are disgusting. I've sent photos to AMC corporate and they give a canned reply. Onsite managers are either untrained or don't care. Many teens working but they obviously have not been trained how to clean and care. The bar is understaffed and the menu has been reduced to a few items. Food quality for a boasting "DINE-IN" is C- on their best day. I go because I don't want to drive to Spring Hill but I'll keep my complaint to two things. 1. They have these poor kids carding old people to see R rated movies. It's ridiculous. I'm almost 50, I don't even get carded to buy wine at dinner anymore. I haven't been rude because they're doing their job but every single time I'm there and one of these kids IDs an adult who is very clearly older than 21, they say something and these kids just have to swallow it. What a ridiculous position to put them in. It's beyond irritating. 2. I've been an AMC member for 8 years, one of the perks for coming to the movies as much as I do (which is easily several times a week) is the discount popcorn bucket. Only this theater doesn't offer it because they they're a dine in and they would rather you buy food than offer a popcorn bucket. We are now fans. In the past, hubby and I rarely if ever went to a movie, because on the rare free nights we could never go to dinner in time to go to a movie where we could stay awake. Now with the dine in theater, we can do both in one place. The food isn't cheap, but it's not cheap anywhere. The royal burger was exceptionally good, and at $15, not ridiculous to be in a movie theater delivered to your chair. Sometimes it can feel a bit claustrophobic because you can rest assured pretty much every single seat sells... no longer will you have open seats in between groups, but the reclining chairs make up for that. It's a nice theater for the most part. The last movie I saw here was Wonder Woman. I enjoyed the movie and the food but I was disappointed that they didn't have any Coca Cola slushy or any of the cherry slushy either. This theater is super nice inside and out. Love the Dolby theater that we saw our movie in. The reclining chairs were very comfortable and the sound and picture were amazing! We didn't have anything from the restaurant (stuck with popcorn and soda) but I wouldn't be opposed to dinner/drinks and a movie here. Everything looked really good! EXTREMELY disappointed in the AMC Thoroughbred theater. I was so excited to see the new avatar movie that everyone is raving about. I looked at the calendar, and I found a day when all of my family could go. We finally found a day when there was enough seats, and we bought the tickets online ahead of time. Of course, we had to see the movie in IMAX 3D because that is the selling point of the movie. We show up today, and they tell us all the IMAX movies are canceled at the door. We got no email. No notice ahead of time. Whole day ruined. We went out to eat beforehand, and everyone was excited. They gave us some bull crap about the IMAX projector needing to cool down. Who knows how long it will take to get a refund or even see the movie now. Don't waste your time her. 0/10 service! read more

I've had great experiences here, but I'm not fond of the direction it's service is going. I shouldn't have to be a VIP to get food from your establishment. I waited 10 minutes first in line before being allowed to order? There was three others stocking instead of providing service. It had just opened. Why did the closing crew the night before not stock? No manager around just staff passing the buck stating VIP line first. I didn't even know that was a thing. I usually do the full service movie experience. My movie was not available for that. It appears that the ticket department and food and beverage team aren't communicating to make things smooth. If you are always short on staff you'd think you'd find alternative solutions by now. After waiting what seemed like eternity for the remodel to finish and hoping against hope this would lead to the dismissal of the poorest customer service staff in town the list of messed up stuff actually got longer. Management either has no desire or no capability to properly complete the staffing. That is the only thing I figure is happening since high-profile movies are not scheduled for the non-premium, dine-in screens until someone complains. Even when the films are scheduled only a few seats will be available. The two wait staff folks assigned to the theaters have a hard time keeping up since they are apparently working multiple screens. The food and drink does eventually appear, and it is "ok" but falls short of the price. God help the person who sees a film in a non-dine-in theater. Modern technology has not reached AMC apparently. You can buy tickets ahead of time, but they are just now to the point of actually taking a smartphone ticket, if the ticket taker has been told and trained (it is hit or miss). There is still no order ahead for concessions so you are still forced to go through the holdover Carmike hallmark of poor industrial design concessions line. In case you are not familiar with this, it is the system which rewards online ticket purchasers with a concessions line of people who did not buy tickets ahead of time. So you are in the line you were seeking to avoid and now it runs even slower. The slowness is odd since you have to serve yourself your drinks and popcorn butter. In summary, this theater is the most psychotic movie theater I have ever been. And in this case, that is not a complement. read more

Hailing from Bellevue, this is our main theater. Yea it's 30 min away and we have a closer option, BUT you would understand if you have been privileged enough to attend the Bellevue 8 *cough* I don't know why some reviewers seem to have problems with this theater, but I think it is great! Have I been to nicer? Yes, but not in Nashville. The Big D option is pretty sweet...there is nothing like the smell of leather seats when you walk into those rooms. Also they have cheaper tickets for the 4pm shows...so definitely hit that up. The only complaint I have is that I wish they would open up the other two concession stands that they have more often so I don't have to walk as far for a refill on my large drink! Or maybe I should just drink less? haha Overall, the theater is pretty clean and they maintain it fairly well and always have the movies I want to see. What else can you ask for? Absolutely filthy. Stale popcorn. Trash cans overflowing. Bathrooms rancid, soiled, and covered in piss and paper towels. The emo staff was as lifeless and helpless as can be. Out of everything. Butter, salt, and hardly any drinks at the machine and there's like 50 options. A manager was no wNere to be found. I only needed one bc the automated ticket machine printed out tickets witty different assignees seats that what was purchased (not a big deal I i just didn't want to sit across the theatre from my wife if the theatre were packed, which it was) and the guy that I spoke to said I could just get a refund if I didn't want to sit separately. Fortunately, because there's no row markers everyone sat wherever they wanted and we sat together. read more

Having been someone who went to this theater under it's previous ownership I'm confused by the poor reviews. Of course, I've only been ONCE since it was remodeled so those experiences may be based on multiple visits. The remodel seems very nice (with the exception of a weirdly small Mens room near the front door that only accommodates TWO!?) I've always liked their popcorn, and unlike Regal they give you access to the butter after you buy as well as a Freestyle Coke Machine. Of course the biggest drawback for AMC is the rewards program "Stubs" which costs money. I don't get why you'd create a loyalty program and then charge people money for it. I'm not a member for this very reason. They are on Fandango, which as far as I'm concerned is the only way to buy tickets in the modern era. We were there for Star Wars and the line of people buying at the Kiosk was crazy! Since you have the added step of having to pick your seats. I highly recommend buying this way before you arrive. I really like the idea of the "Dine-In" theaters but you are certainly paying for the experience. All told, tickets, drinks and dinner, AMC was into me for $100 bucks for two people. Having said that we had a great time, but you must keep in mind that you are paying for the privilege. The staff was friendly, especially at the bar before the show. Having assigned seats allows you the latitude of getting up and hanging out somewhere other than in front of the screen that is just advertising to you anyway (COME EARLY NEXT TIME FOR MORE ADVERTISING IN YOUR FACE!) Overall if the theater wasn't half an hour from my house we'd probably come a lot more often, but if we are in the area it's certainly the nicest theater around. I have really tried to give this theater time to work out the kinks after the renovation and buy-out. However, I consistently have a poor experience after four visits since it became a dine-in theater. Due to a lack of staffing, I have been told by staff, the theater shuts down online ordering for movies and, I do not understand this, even for the theaters that are not dine-in. When I was at the theater the other day for a dine-in experience, I had to leave my theater to find a waitstaff. The waitperson I found said that he was the only one serving three dine-in theaters and he was not going to be able to take orders for everyone. Begrudgingly, he took my order, arrived half-way through the movie with my flatbread and was very obviously stressed. The flatbread, like the other items I have tried on the menu, tasted like cold freezer pizza that had been heated in a microwave and then was room temperature. It was limp and tasted awful. The freestyle Coke machines in the lobby are typically out of ice and therefore there is always a line at the one machine that still has ice. It has been this way on my last two visits. One night I tried to order tickets online and could not get any for either of the movies I wanted to see, they all seemed to be sold out. I decided to go to the theater and try and purchase in person. At the theater they told me every single movie was sold out. I find this very hard to believe because there were probably 40 cars in the parking lot. Although my other theater choices are much further away I am committed to not having another bad experience at this theater and will drive for a better experience. read more

This place is really going downhill in the past few years. Seems like they've had a lot of deferred maintenance. Certainly has been an investment in some of the theaters that have the dining options and seats. However many of the smaller theaters have issues with the seats the video quality and most importantly the sound. I recently experienced the rise of Skywalker in theater 19 and the blown speakers totally disrupted the entire evening. On a good note it is nice that we can now use the AMC app to download tickets without a fee. It also makes it easy to avoid lines. They do also have a full bar and good food which is nice. read more

Waited in long line for kiosk to buy ticket. They've now implemented you must pick a seat upon ticket purchase. Only one half staffed. In long lines for food.
