My husband and I are regulars at this theater, and it has become our favorite. We've seen movies on opening night. Even then, we have yet to run into huge crowds, which is always a plus. This theater receives the latest movies and has a reward club. NCG is located off Nashville Pike behind a small shopping center. However, it's easy to find and has plenty of parking. The lobby is clean and spacious. The employees are friendly. The theater is also clean with seats that are big, plush, and comfy. My husband and I have seen at many different times at this theater (weekday/ weekend daytime and weekday/ weekend evening), and we have had nothing but good experiences.

Horrible Sunday manager. Disrespectful personnel, dirty atmosphere, and insane prices. Go to Hendersonville Indian Lake theater instead.

Of the Regal options we've visited, this is definitely the one to beat. It's a solid location (worth the 15-20 minute drive outside of Nashville), it has decently comfortable reclining seats, and everything was pretty clean, especially considering we had tickets to a 10 PM movie on a Friday night. We didn't partake in the concessions this time around -  but it seemed like the team was moving through orders pretty quickly as we walked past. We chose a later movie time so we could be in one of the larger theaters near the front, and I'm glad we did. They do have IMAX and 3D at this location for select movies as well, which I'd love to check out on a future visit. Going to the movies overall is a lot more expensive than it used to be, and if you go more than twice a month, I believe the Regal pass is a great deal. We'll typically re-up on ours whenever there are a few new movies coming out that we don't want to wait to stream at home, although it is at least a three-month commitment whenever you do sign up.

Our story: Drove an hour to see a specific film, only to be told it was sold out--even though there was no mention on the website. When we asked if there was any flexibility (since there were clearly open spots and the film had already started), the staff was rude and unsympathetic. We also asked to switch sides for the second film and were told we'd have to pay another $30 for the whole group. I get having policies, but there's a better way to communicate them with kindness. We'd had a tough day already, but the cold reception made it worse. For future reference, please update your website when a movie sells out--it saves everyone frustration. Also, why does it matter which film we watch if we're paying for two? If switching films is against policy, just explain it kindly. We even tried parking in the back to watch the other movie, only to be rudely told to move. How were we supposed to know where to park when there's no clear signage? If I were running this, I'd handle it with empathy. Something like, 'I'm sorry, we're sold out, but here's an alternative option.' Basic kindness goes a long way, especially when people come to your venue to escape tough days. Finally, the concession line is consistently a mess. We waited an hour for popcorn last time and still missed part of our movie. This time, it took the entire intermission, plus 5 minutes of the film to get fries. Hire more staff or figure out a better system. They also charge to bring your own food and then interrupt the credits to spend several minutes advertising concessions, yet the lines are still slow even during intermission. The long radio reminder to buy snacks felt excessive. Please let us enjoy the credit scenes without interruption! We will buy food if the lines aren't so long. One idea for faster food service : at my hometown drive-in theater in Cali, they used a quick, self-serve setup--grab your nachos, hot dogs and started adding the condiments, while you wait in line to pay and ask for any popcorn, or drinks. You can start grabbing pre-ready snacks as you got through the line. It took 2 min or up to 10, on busy days. It's great to offer unique items like funnel cake, but they slow down service. Consider speeding up basics like popcorn and hot dogs, or at least let customers know certain items, like funnel cake, take longer while popcorn is ready right away. Please do better. You're one of the last drive-ins left--people count on you for a good experience.

Apparently I was having a day, as I was having trouble finding the card I wanted to pay with in my wallet, took out my phone to get a better look at the inside of my wallet, and it crashed to the ground. Ay! While we were picking up the sim card, battery, and back of the phone, she was so kind. I kept apologizing because I was taking a lot of time and was so confuddled that I was also not paying attention when we used a different card to pay and she said to tell her which seats we wanted and I was trying to select them on her screen. (Really, I was having a day). She did not have to be so sweet and understanding, but she was. She kept very calmly smiling and saying, "It's ok, You're ok, It's all good, No worries," while we were picking up phone pieces from the floor and trying to pay. She directed the next people in line to the next employee and was patient as can be with us. After the movie, I realized that the buttons had come off my phone when it fell because I tried to turn it on and there were no buttons. There was no one in line at her register so we went back to look on the floor. She remembered us and looked for them with us. I needed a new phone anyway, so I guess that gave me the push I needed to go ahead and transfer my phone to a new one, but this review is to commend Haley (sp?). 5 star customer service. She was so sweet and patient when she could have easily become frustrated with a customer having a bit of a rough day. Thank you Haley. You're awesome. :)

My husband and I came to see Wicked for Good and had a bit of a frustrating start. We tried to purchase our tickets at the kiosks, but the machine wouldn't take our card. After struggling with it for a while, my husband mentioned it to the young lady taking tickets, and only then did she tell us the kiosk was broken. I was irritated because she had clearly seen us trying to figure it out, yet didn't say anything until we asked. She did apologize, though it didn't feel very genuine. On the bright side, the gentleman at the concession stand apologized on her behalf, which I appreciated even though it wasn't his responsibility. When we picked out our seats, when we go to get seated, one of the seats was broken, which I wish was noted bc had this theater been full, that could have been a problem. Then there was trash in the cup holders. This did not help my irritation. I do think it's time to upgrade the seats to the modern recliners, put signs on things that don't work, and make sure the theaters are cleaned for the next movie times. Love the location of this theater but times like this makes it hard to make a case to go more often.

Parking was fairly easy as there's a lot of it, but it's difficult if there's a show at the Opry and it can get very crowded. It was quite pricey seeing a 4DX movie here with popcorn and a drink. For three people, we spent well over $150 which is honestly, stupid expensive. Thankfully, we saw the newest Avatar so at least we spent 4 something hours here to get some of our moneys worth (except the movie was quite boring and the worst one of the franchise). The 4DX seating was great and we will definitely be back for more movie thrills when we move to TN. However, due to the costs, we won't be making a habit out of going often.

At least wait until the end credits to hurry people out! And I was prepared for high concession prices but they do seem quite a bit more expensive than their competitors in the area. Overall I wouldn't mind paying more for a "premium" 4DX experience, but come on, keep the lights off during the movie!

I nearly refunded the movie tickets after reading the reviews but at $12/ticket at 7pm, I was willing to take the chance. True, there is no AC in the lobby and it can be very warm while waiting in line. However, there was AC in our movie theater (10) and we were comfortable with the temperature. We ordered two candies and two large icees and the total came out to $25 after taxes. We were also told that the icees get free refills, too! The regular soda fountains are for guests to use and are also refillable at their convenience. These were nice touches when most movie theaters have become unaffordable for a night out. Our two movie tickets totaled $28 after taxes and fees. In total, we spent $53 at Roxy. We booked the loveseat and it was super comfortable and the recliner went back pretty far, nearly at a lay down position. These were probably the most comfortable seats we've ever sat in for a movie. The visuals were good and the sound was clear as day...a bit too loud, especially because we saw Obsession and there was a lot of screaming in the movie. However, I'd prefer too loud over too quiet. We shared the theater with 3 other people so we didn't experience any interruptions. Overall, we were pretty satisfied with this theater and will definitely be back...as long as the rat problem has been fixed.
