I was very skeptical about coming here based on the poor reviews and rat situation (both Google and Yelp reviews have mentioned this infestation). I nearly refunded the movie tickets after reading the reviews but at $12/ticket at 7pm, I was willing to take the chance. True, there is no AC in the lobby and it can be very warm while waiting in line. However, there was AC in our movie theater (10) and we were comfortable with the temperature. We ordered two candies and two large icees and the total came out to $25 after taxes. We were also told that the icees get free refills, too! The regular soda fountains are for guests to use and are also refillable at their convenience. These were nice touches when most movie theaters have become unaffordable for a night out. Our two movie tickets totaled $28 after taxes and fees. In total, we spent $53 at Roxy. We booked the loveseat and it was super comfortable and the recliner went back pretty far, nearly at a lay down position. These were probably the most comfortable seats we've ever sat in for a movie. The visuals were good and the sound was clear as day...a bit too loud, especially because we saw Obsession and there was a lot of screaming in the movie. However, I'd prefer too loud over too quiet. We shared the theater with 3 other people so we didn't experience any interruptions. Overall, we were pretty satisfied with this theater and will definitely be back...as long as the rat problem has been fixed. read more

The Roxy is the only place in town to see new movies, and I'm grateful to have it nearby. The reclining seats are comfortable, and the Tuesday deals are great for a fun night out. That said, the theater really needs a deep cleaning and some refurbishing -- the carpets, seats, and restrooms could use attention. The staff is somewhat friendly, but the place would truly benefit from stronger management and more consistent upkeep. It has so much potential to be a fantastic small-town theater again. With the right care and leadership, The Roxy could easily become a five-star favorite for Lebanon moviegoers. read more

Bathroom is always dirty. I came here a month ago and both times there was brown gross drippy stuff on the exit wall for the women's bathroom. Dirty toilets and overflowing garbage cans. It makes it hard for me to take my toddler for a potty break mid movie. But chairs are comfy. read more

We always looked forward to visiting the Roxy, but lately it has gone way downhill. The seats, the cupholders, and the carpets are all disgusting. We saw a 7:30 PM movie, and it was obvious that the seats in theater had not been cleaned prior to us arriving. The other issue with the Roxy now is that they don't check your tickets anymore so there's a bunch of people, especially kids, that are sneaking into the theater I noticed several folks that were asked to get up and move by patrons that had actually paid for their seats. Groups of of kids here were talking throughout the movie and on their phones constantly. This place needs more oversight and a deep cleaning ASAP. I don't plan to return again. read more

This movie theater needs a serious overhaul. From the cleanliness of the rooms, to the A/C not working. My family won't be back until they announce they have gone through some major upgrades and cleaning. We'll make the drive to Hendersonville to enjoy our movies until then. read more

The venue is in a really great location, nice restaurants close by and easy to get in and out! The actual theater needs a good cleaning, the con session stand is dirty and very unappealing. The recliners are nice, but lots of them need a bit of reupholstering. read more

Not sure what everyone else might have issues with, but these new upgrades are spectacular. We were very comfortable, enjoyed the flick, and loved having the movie experience from a LaZBoy type recliner. The new seats were very comfy, with plenty of room, and the reclining feature... superb! We did a quick trip, our first time to this theater, and while we didn't experience any problems, we really didn't partake of much. No concessions, no extras, just the movie and we were out. Saw others complaining of the parking lot, and while it may be oddly laid-out, it appears that they are working on repairing/resurfacing in spots. We didn't have an issue there. The wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and just wish this place was closer so we could frequent more often! read more

The Roxy Movie Theatre (UEC Theatres) in Lebanon apparently got a face lift and boy does it look good! This was my first time at the theatre and I had a great experience as the staff are friendly and the theatre is clean. The matinee prices are very affordable (I think it's $8.25) so seeing a movie during the day won't break the bank. I was goaded into seeing Star Wars for the second time (I mean I barely made it through the first time...don't get me started on this one) but at least it was in a nice, comfortable theatre with reclining chairs. We also got a free bag of popcorn from the UEC loyalty card. The seats are kind of like love seats as they are grouped together in pairs so it does work best to see a movie with an even number of people (one of our friends says he gets uncomfortable sitting closer to a stranger). We'll be back to this theatre as they have a good selection of movies and it is a nice theatre. read more

CAN YOU PALEEEEZZZ SHUUUT UP!!!??? Our first trip here we LOVED the theater but HATED our experience. The good: Nice and clean, the new recliners were comfy. Screens were nice and clear. We had just eaten so we didn't try the food but it sure smelled good. The mouthwatering popcorn aroma filled the entire arcade area. We also loved the fact that you could reserve your specific seats ahead of time so we weren't rushing to get the best spot at movie time. The Bad: A fight broke out between a few families after our movie because of a very disrespectful family talking, laughing, and literally yelling through the entire movie. The employees did nothing to address the situation while we were there. I got in touch with a manager a few days later and she apologized and sent me 4 free movie tickets. Which was a very nice gesture in my opinion. We will try the Roxy again and hope to have a better experience this time around! BTW Everyone needs to teach their teenagers proper theater manners. I saw the Elvis movie at Roxy theater in Lebanon, TN. today. I really enjoyed the movie. The movie theater got so hot, I was having trouble breathing by the end of the movie. It's 95° outside, it's pretty lousy for it to be so hot indoors. I won't visit another Roxy Theater if this what's in store for me. read more

I love this place. Where else can a family of 3 see a movie with unlimited popcorn and unlimited coke for $30? As of 4/2015 matinee prices are $7.25 adult and Child. General admission is $9.75 adult and $7.25 child. They also have a reward program. The location is safe and near a handful of restaurants. I only rated it a 4 star vs 5 because the screens and lighting are not to the caliber of the typical theater. However, once the movie gets moving, I don't even notice. read more

Much like Scott in another review, on June 18th the concession area was riddled with trash, old food wrappers. The men's restroom had feces on each toilet, and the urinals. Who craps on a urinal??? The smell going into one theater smelled like someone placed a dog turd in a ceiling tile. Recliners were broken in the fully reclined position, making a 2 hour movie impossible to watch. read more

I have a new go-to movie theater. I don't know if you would consider this a first-run theater or a second-run, because I went there to see Cars 3 when it had already left all the other theaters (I had been hospitalized when it first came out, long story), and was so grateful it was still around. But let me get right to the heart of the matter: this place has the most comfortable seating I have ever experienced anywhere. These are big, wide, leather power recliners, with a power leg rest. How comfortable are they? Well, I am 6-foot-5 and most of it is legs, so I am rarely comfortable sitting in a movie theater, constantly shifting in my seat, rearranging my legs, and so on. At the Roxy, I kicked back the recliner and did not shift ONCE for the entire showing of the film. I want one of these seats in my house! As for the other attributes of the Roxy, the sound and picture were excellent. Pricing was below the going rate for the area, so I went for the huge Dr. Pepper. And Cars 3 was cool for me and the kids that me and another dad took with us. read more

Yes, sometimes the corridors smell a bit . And it can be really hot in the front theaters in the summer, they are replacing carpets as I see new ones all around so soon it will be nicer inside. My only real complaints are how hot it gets in the summer, Also some aisles are too narrow for the reclining seats and when strangers get up their bottoms bump your feet as they pass by or you have to put your seats down, And no intermissions. Other than that, I have never been treated rudely here by any employees. The prices have the other local theater beat by a lot. Especially cheap Tuesday, Free popcorn yay. The reclining seats have me spoiled, I can't imagine watching a movie without them now. Overall I get treated well, never harassed, and the movie prices are great. Horrible experience. We bought tickets online to a theatre that had no air conditioning. The unit was broken and they were still selling tickets online. I drive a good distance to the theatre and when I requested a redund, I was told to get in a line that extended out the door. I requested to see a manager to get a refund and after waiting, a very rude manager appeared and could of cared less about selling tickets to a busted movie theatre. I spent 14 Dollars, Got 12 dollars back that would no show up for 3 or 4 days, and got to drive back home. This Theatre went out of business some years ago, same rude staff and don't give a crap attitude. Cookville is were I always go to see a movie and no problems for years, first time in Lebanon and same ole bad service. Mt. Juliet Theatre's are also good. I was told to stay away from this place, I should of listened!! read more

I have visited the Roxy several times in the past 5 years. I am a senior citizen and I appreciate your special on Tuesdays. I regret that there aren't more movies made which interest older people. I know, they make what will make money. Not problem. I am very afraid to try and find my seat in a darkened theater. I wonder why the management couldn't leave the overhead lights on during the presentations before the movie. I'm sure anyone wanting to watch can still do so with the lights on. I'm concerned that someone will trip on the stairs and break a bone. The other concern I have is the volume. I find it to be way too much. Even without my hearing aids it is too much. read more

I've seen a handful of movies here and while there are certainly bigger, flashier, more expensive movie theaters out there, this one is A-OK. There aren't a lot of additions to this theater-- standard food, standard screens, standard seats, etc. What is always impressive to me about this theater is that it is CLEAN. The restrooms, while older, are clean, the entry ways, the hallways, the theater floors are clean (and not sticky!). It is a great local theater and the workers are usually super friendly and give service with a smile. Sure, it could use flashier equipment, but it does what it needs to do and is more than enough for watching a movie. read more

This theatre is a little run down but it has charm. There's a small arcade when you first walk in, the pool table kept eating the cue balls, or didn't give us a full rack of balls when you put your quarters in. So I would stay away from that, but the air hockey table worked fine. The theatre itself had broken arm rests and the floor was very sticky, it didn't help we saw that awful Brad Pitt mafia movie. But it's next to Demos, so at least dinner was good. read more

This is probably my favorite theater in all of middle Tennessee but can only use it for kids movies or random movies we go to to pass the time. The reason why is, the people who frequent this theater are the most loud and inconsiderate movie companions in the world. I'm comfortable saying this because I've experienced people who leave their babies crying, talking and laughing at full volume and the last two visits we had something white and sticky on our assigned seats and couldn't get someone to clean it up for us, BOTH TIMES. It is more affordable than the others during the day time showings- that includes the popcorn, but I just can't rely or depend on this theater for any important movies. Oh, there's no website to purchase tickets nor can you use fandango for some reason, which I mean... come on guys it's 2019! Three stars only for the price and when clean and empty, best movie experience. read more

Disappointed. We were waiting for them to open for the 1010 am Solo and it was 10 am when finally someone came out to tell us they are only taking advanced ticket sales. They wouldn't be able to purchase any new tickets cash or charge due to their systems down. I think we were more irritated that there was no sign (only a sign saying cash only due to be the storm) or no one had come out earlier to tell us all who were eagerly waiting about their situation. Also, no one was answering their phone or no automated message with updates. In this world we live in there are many forms to communicate but there seems lack of communication. read more

The theatre seats are super comfortable and the service at concession was good. We went on Tuesday so $5.50 per ticket is a great deal for new movies. The lobby and concession can use remodeling and updating. There are holes in the soda fountain missing labels and holes in the carpet covered with tape. The theatre still had popcorn and trash on the seat and floor from the previous movie. read more

Since this is the only option for a multi-screen theater in Lebanon, and I'm an avid moviegoer that's new to the area, I had to try it. The best thing going for Roxy is prices, which include $5 Tuesday nights with registration. I have been in at least three of the theaters in the building, and each of them has unique issues. One needs a new bulb, one apparently had someone throw an entire drink on the screen and they never restored it to its former glory, another has a broken thermostat. ALL have random broken chairs that haven't been fixed and do not recline. I have never seen a theater this neglected. I actually traveled to Mt. Juliet and paid more than double to see the latest release, and it was worth it. My recliner reclined, the brightness was such that you could see the picture through the dark scenes, the temperature was within a normal range, and the theater was clean. Roxy I do hope you invest in some maintenance soon! read more

Let me start by saying that we have been going to this theater for the last few years. It is clean and very comfortable. But there has always been a lack of customer service. Not necessarily bad, just not good. Staff just isn't friendly and at times seem annoyed. Well today my experience at ticket counter was just awful! I understand that when highly anticipated movies first come out, that the crowds can be overwhelming and stressful to the staff. But there was absolutely no excuse for how I and my handicapped mother were treated. I took my mother and two nieces to see "Aladdin" today. My mother had a Massive Brain Hemorrhage some time back. And after emergency surgery and even part of her skull being removed, the has had to learn to talk again, walk again, etc. It has been rough, but she is so strong willed and has came far :) We had no idea about the Tuesday special, until today. So therefore today was quite busy there. Finally got through the ticket line and were told the 3:00 showing was sold out. No problem, we could go to the 3:30. And I could already tell that the employee was put out with me for asking if there were any seats on the main row (my mom still cannot climb or go down stairs and often needs restroom). It is obvious my mom has physical problems and we have never had an issue with this before. And I was, in no way, pushy. I explained my mother needed that. But could tell she didn't care and definitely had no time for pleasant chit chat. So she did say I could have the one seat still left on main row, for my mom. But went on to say that it is for the handicapped only, so if someone with a disability comes in, she would be bumped. What? My mom is handicapped!! She isn't in a wheelchair, but has a cane and still limps everywhere. This is after 4 years of painful rehab and she is still declared disabled, probably always will be. I confirmed again that my mom is handicapped and she didn't answer either way. So it worried me, that my poor little mom would be bumped out for someone else, even after the movie began. So I confirmed one more time that my mom has her disability card to show she deserves to be seated there. And she snapped, "YES, I AM AWARE!!" And I mean basically yelled. Well how did I know she was aware? She didn't even acknowledge anything I had said. Woman in line behind me stopped me, on way into movie, and said she had heard it all (how couldn't everyone?) And that I should report it to a manager. But at that point I just wanted to cool down and think it over. I plan on calling a manager this week. So my mom got the one handicapped seat on main level (D Level), with my two nieces in front of her (front row- E Level). They are too young to be spread out from both of us. So that left me with the seat all the way at the top (A Level). Issue is that my mom needs my help getting up and down. So on her two restroom trips, I had to go all the way down to help her. We try not to ask for any help, as I help her full time. But there was a woman with a young child in handicapped seats right by her. As the rude girl told me up front, they could bump us for someone handicapped. Which made no sense to say to us. So I should have had a seat by my mother, as her companion/caregiver. I am thinking that is in violation of The Disability Act. I have no desire to further pursue whether or not it is. It just wasn't right. We have always enjoyed going here. But this really left a bad taste. My mom loves going to movies and after everything she has been through, try to take her often. It is one of the few things she can still enjoy. We always go to this theater. Were there two days last week too. But don't know if/when we will ever go back. Other theaters, near us, aren't as comfortable. But hopefully they will have more respect. Sorry this is so long :)) read more

We used to LOVE the Roxy... Boy have things changed and for the worse! I am so tired of folks using the excuse of not having enough employees for bad service. I believe you me I understand today is a whole different kind of ball game. If you can't find help, then you need to shut the place down. Because everything and anything that can go wrong is going wrong in this theater. It's messy, because it's not being maintained properly.. in the bathroom there was no soap at all, the paper towels were left on the countertop in a puddle of water. ( So much for Covid-protocols) The concession countertops were messy the floor was messy, they're out of everything. I want to have understanding because even before the pandemic it was hard to find folks that wanted to work and I've pride in the job they do. Maybe it's shortages of everything that's causing some of the problem. But it's not causing the problem of people being down right hateful to you . Tonight we went to the Roxy on January 4th 2022 at the 4:00 showing of Sing two. Even after all the crud I just told you happened, we stayed anyway because our grandchildren were there. There were five in our party and about a hundred in the building or at least in this theater. About 45 minutes into the film or maybe a little bit later we started smelling gas, natural gas, you know the rotten egg smell. So my husband went to tell someone about it they seem to just ignore him when he went out there. The young girl tried to pacify him by telling him that she would call her manager and have her manager and take care of it. On the way back to the theater there were more people coming out, saying that they smelled gas as well and it was scaring them, but nobody had any answers. Now mind you there were five children working behind the counter, no manager in the building and no answers to why there was a gas smell. They tried to say that was the heat kicking in but the boy who came out and was belligerent to my husband said that they didn't have gas at that location. Now I have gas at my house and we know what it smells like when you first turn it on and it smells like elements burning, but in this case it had been barely 40 that day so when did the gas turn off to just be turning on. And why is a young kid coming out to debate with my husband. Instead of being concerned that there was a gas smell in the theater and there was 35 to 40 people leaving, he got belligerent and said that he was in the theater and hit before and that he didn't smell anything and then he had the audacity to ask my husband if he had been rude to the girl working up front. Nobody was rude to her, we were all stern, because we were worried. And it wasn't just us it was everybody that came out. They offered to give us vouchers but she said she'd have to get approval from a manager. What manager there was no manager there.... Needless to say I don't think we'll be coming back, since we drove 20 miles to see a movie because we love the Roxy so much in the past. Our theater isn't much better here Mount Juliet, but I guess we'll risk it here, if we choose to see another movie at least we won't have driven so far, it's really sad read more

After this theater came into new ownership, it has gotten better by a huge margin. The screens aren't messed up and the chairs aren't broken. You can refill your drink whenever you need, which is a wonderful thing. I don't play the games, so I don't know what their status is. read more
