This theatre for sure has come along way since I was a child. I'm 26 now. It has become run down over the years however with new owners that have taken over, I suppose, it's SO much better. It's like a new hidden gem. They redid the carpet, bar, and eating. I love the fact that when you walk in, you can click your seats and you don't have to worry about anyone taking your chairs. The only thing I don't like is that they are very stingy on their bar prices. The cups are stupid small and expensive. I'm not spending $10 on he size of a drink as small as a pee cup lol rather just get the large popcorn and large drink special for $13. The chairs are very comfortable and it's a very home like feeling. You can lean ALL the way back. Try not to fall asleep BV it can be cold! I would bring a blanket or jacket. Horrible serve from the Food Service and will never be back. I'm a Stub Hub member who was in the member line where my son and I were never acknowledged when standing there for about 10 mins but soon as I get in the regular line then all of a sudden they call the person from the member line . I waited 20mins in line for a Icee and when talking to the manager Robert about the serve and lack of consideration . He stares at me like with no care in the world and says O IM SORRY AND WALKS OFF. Since I've ditched Moviepass for the AMC Stubs Premier A-List, AMC theaters have become my default. The Fountains location in Stafford is my new home base, but I've found myself in The Woodlands more in recent weeks, so I've been wanting to check out the Spring location. Like the AMC Fountains, this location also has the awesome reclining seats. Now that I've grown accustomed to them, I'm completely spoiled, and can't deal with any other kind of seating. At the very least, I don't want to have to deal with nasty cloth seats that haven't EVER been cleaned. Gross! When you walk in, there's an employee waiting to scan your mobile ticket if you have one. Right after that is concessions, and a small bar to the right. This location is smaller than the other locations I'm used to going to, so the lobby area felt a bit cramped to me. The bathroom was clean, and the floors of the entire theater were clean. Gross old food smell was minimal, which is a definite plus to me. I haven't been to a movie theater that didn't have it, I just prefer movie theaters that figure out how to keep the stale food smell out of the carpet. read more

I don't think I've entered a theater that didn't smell weird, but is regular cleaning really out of the question? The restrooms are deplorable. My son had his 8th bday party here. There were very accommodating to what I wanted of how I want things set up. We had to rent a theater to do do so but the price to rent it isn't so bad. Great staff. Richard was the manager during our party and he was very to us. Our guests was very happy. Place was a nasty mess. Everyone was waiting for about 10 minutes for the movie to start. I had to go get someone that worked there to let them know the movie hadn't started. Finally after 15 minutes the movie started. then about 20 teenagers started having a party and we could even watch the movie. Staff had to go in the theatre several times to shut them up. I let it go for a while but it was too much so I looked around and saw there was and officer standing in the corner not even doing anything letting them be rowdy, so I went to talk with him about it and after a brief convo and attitude with officer dumbshit we left. The demographics of that area will give you and idea of the type of loudass rude kids that where being inconsiderate and disruptive. Don't go to this one anymore its gone done hill. When I first started going here I loved the place. Fast service, clean drink stations and restrooms, great recliner seating. Within a years time the place has changed. The employees prefer to ignore you and the drink station is nasty. I upgraded my membership therefore I receive popcorn refills. When I go to the counter for the refill no one will help me. I mean an employee is standing right in front of the popcorn machine and just ignores me! The drink station doesn't look like it's been cleaned in a year. The lid dispensers are nasty. What would the health department say about them? I usually go to the first show of the day and each drink machine is empty of the drink I prefer. Shouldn't staff have everything cleaned and in order before the theater opens? It's a shame this location is going down hill. I definitely won't be renewing my membership. read more

The staff is always nice. No complaint there. However, there is a "smell"- it's like an old mildew smell mixed with stale air. I wish I could blame the flooding in the area, but this smell has always been (maybe it's gotten worse due to the hurricane, but it's not the cause). The decor is dated and the chairs are worn (and unclean- I wipe down every time before I lean back). I gave it twos stars (not one) because location is easy to get to and the staff is nice, but to the owners- just shut down one theatre at a time (so you don't lose too much money) and renovate, or steam clean and treat the carpets (and wipe chairs down). read more

I really like this location and the upgrades seating. Management: There is definitely a lot of room for improvement and customer service training. The lobby should have adequate staff on the floor to keep all areas clean. The floor, refreshment, and condiment area should be clean and stocked at all times. Customer Service: The kids that work this location are lazy and desperately need training in serving there customer. The ticket person just stands there scanning bar codes and this duty must be so strenuous that he not only can bring him self to smile or hand out the 3D glasses. The theater seats recline like an old man's living room chair, so that's nice. They don't offer real food other than popcorn, hot dogs and old school theater fare so that's a bad thing. The bar is a nice touch, but you kinda get ripped off with some alcohol price gouging. All in all, the place is nice, but not always clean. The bartenders are usually nice, but the other staff can act like they're somehow doing you a favor by existing. Ignore them and watch the movie. read more

How did I not know about this place for so long?!?!? My husband and I got a sitter and went to dinner in Old Town Spring and then headed over to AMC for Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2. We picked our seats out the day before online and paid. When we arrived the parking lot was packed. That's a good sign. A cop standing out front...probably not a good sign. We were surprised when we entered that they had a full bar and plenty of people were taking advantage of that. We headed straight to the theater. We didn't need snacks because we just ate but I did glance at the prices and they were astronomical. I think a large popcorn was something like $9. But that's pretty standard at theaters now. The theater was small but maybe because we were seeing the movie the last week it was playing was the reason. The seats were like heaven. Just like sitting in an oversized recliner at home. It fully reclined leaving just enough room for someone to walk between your recline seat and the seat in front of you. They were oh so comfortable. The sound was great but the screen was a little grainy. Their screens could definitely be improved. But we only paid $11 each for an awesome experience. Several people brought blankets and kicked their shoes off for the movie. I'll have to remember that for next time. read more

This place is consistently dirty all over. Management do not seem to care. Complaints fall on deaf ears. The attitude of the workers ranges from indifferent to downright rude. It is also really ghetto. People consistently get courtesy cups and fill them with soda. They see nothing wrong with stealing sodas and as a result people that pay for drinks often find the popular flavors out. The butter station frequently is out of butter and there is always popcorn all around. Inside the theaters people consistently talk on their phones and when someone complains nothing is done. So there is only one doing all the work, so no matter what time it is this place is still being operated in the same way. We are waiting for a new theatre coming and this place will never see us again. The bathrooms are filthy and there is never soap in the dispensers. So, how are the workers washing their hands? I love, love, love the recliner seats at AMC! If I'm going to watch a movie, this is the only place I will go to. Reserved seating is the best, too, because I know indeed I will have a spot. I do wish they would move the ticket taking area in further because it gets bottlenecked at the entrance. Also, I am an AMC Stubs member and one of the perks is to have a line dedicated to members at the concession stand so you can move quickly through it. However, they usually only have one cashier working this line so it takes forever to move. All in all, I very much enjoying coming to this location! read more

When they first renovated the old theater I was so happy...it was about time! It was so nice with the reclining chairs and everything new. That lasted a couple of years, but if you look at the reviews they have steadily declined in the last year. Rightfully so! In the last 2 times we have been there it has been for the last showing of the night. The bathrooms are so poorly serviced they are unusable- no toilet paper, unflushed toilets, no soap, overflowing trash cans with no paper towels left. Even the family bathroom had a malfunctioning child toilet, wet floors and no soap. They also turned the lights out in the bathrooms before our movie got out. Imagine coming out of a 2 1/2 hour long movie and have the bathrooms pitch black (at least you can't see the trash and filth that way). When we came into the theater the trash cans were all overflowing, the theater smelled mildewy (or worse), there was still trash in our seats, rips in the seats, and some of the screens are streaked or fuzzy. What happened here? Are they woefully understaffed? Have a different manager? Just don't care? Another AMC just opened up more North on 45. Even though the Spring one is only 2 miles from my house...we might have to try something else. So disappointing! read more

I visited this theater about a week ago while on the northside. I had some free movie tickets from a app that I download. upon entry they scanned my movie ticket that was conveniently located on my iPhone. I proceeded to the concession counter. The line was short but took forever to move . I stood in like for about 10mins just to order an over priced Fountain drink and cinnamon pretzel. I must admit the pretzel was pretty tasty, but I still don't think it was worth standing in that line for. My 1st free movie ticket was to see Sausage party. That movie was funny!! I can tell the theaters have been upgraded as the chairs fully reclined and are very comfortable. I was completely set because I bought a little fleece blanket & felt like I was in my living room lol! For my 2nd movie I went to See Bad Moms. That move was also funny and good! There was no foul odor or smell, other then the long concession line.. I enjoyed myself and wouldn't mind returning to this Movie theater if I'm in the area. I would have given it a five, except that when they talk about making it a good experience for everyone, your fate depends on the fact that "We only have one charger." How often do you see folks using the closed captioning devices? Rarely, if you even knew they had them but we went to go watch and it spoiled the evening when we requested two CC devices and they were both low on battery. one died immediately after the movie started and the other one would flash low battery every five minutes. No apologies were given other than "WE only have one charger." Luckily, I'm not quite as hearing impaired as my companion is. and that we had one working device. Other than that, the cinema and bathrooms were relatively clean. Recliner seats were nice. Will try again as it's near our new home but will call ahead of time to ensure they charge the devices. read more

This is usually my favorite place to go to watch a movie until yesterday. We went to see Marvel's Avengers Endgame, I don't know what theater it was in. All I know is the theater stunk. I had to cover my nose the whole time. I couldn't believe that it smelled that bad. At the end of the movie I looked in one of the cup holders to see chips that had not been cleaned out. That is when I got a really good scent of what I had been smelling for 3 hours...pee. Every time I go back to this theater I'm surprised by how more and more run down it is getting. Went today to watch Detective Pikachu and it kinda started off bad. Only one machine had ice so it was kinda wait your turn to get snag some from one of the four machines. Also two employees were at the register but they were only working on one station which also makes the line back up. Theater was nice when we got in large screen, good sound, comfortable seats that do recline. Now my big issue with I feel is a health concern. The bathrooms smelt of urine which I get you can't clean them all the time. There were pieces of toilet paper and water all over the floor. I noticed they had no paper towels and so I went to use the air dryer on the wall and when I looked down in it there was mold and some rolled up balls of something in there as well. This is completely unexcusable as that isn't something that pops up if you miss cleaning the bathroom for an hour. It left the women's restroom drying my hands on my pants. read more

I'm really loving the new changes to this local theater. The reclining lazy boy type seats are so comfortable. Warning: if you're show up tired or your movie is boring, you may fall asleep those chairs are so comfy! The newest addition to the this theater is a full service bar. You an order a drink to take with you and one to have delivered to you in the theater at a time of your choosing. Pretty cool concept! They drinks, however, are a bit pricey for what you get. Hopefully, they will improve upon their bartending skills a bit as time goes on. Being able to reserve your seat ahead of time is the best part of this theater. I don't have to wait in line to snag a great seat. I can take my time ordering my popcorn or having a drink in the bar and show up just in time for the movie to start. read more

I noticed the new exterior yesterday and was curious if Loews had a face lift or if they did more. I just watched a movie here, and let me tell you that it's 200 times better! When you first walk in, there are automated machines to buy tickets at. I did not expect assigned seats. Come early, if you're in a group or have them buy a ticket for you. You can choose where you sit when you buy your ticket. I sat in row E. It's not too close or too far from the screen when reclined. I have sat in row C a couple times, which also not too close. Adult tickets late afternoon/early evening are only $8.65, senior $7.89, and child $5.94 - well worth what you pay for! Matinee adult prices are $7.03, senior and child $5.94. Tickets for shows before noon are all $5.94. New perks besides reclining chairs are the self serve fountain machines that have over 100+ beverage choices, the self serve icee machine, and the bar. The dirtiest movie theater I have ever been in. They never clean the bathroom. The men's room has huge puddles under the urinals. I have been here several times in the past year. The cup holders in the seats are full of liquid. There is a large parking lot so you can always find a spot. The movies here are in good quality, the only thing I do not like is the extended long waiting lines. Before I go to my movie I have a routine of wanting to go the bathroom after I receive my printed tickets. Once I leave the restroom I then attend to the concession line. WARNING for all customers it is important to get here at least 15 to 20 minutes early because of the long waiting period for snacks. I do not enjoy waiting in line for over 13 minutes just to get a cup for soda. Also the smell of smoke from the popcorn is really strong and I had a little trouble breathing in line. (This location would be a lot better is they would improve on their customer service skills and ask the customers If they have a AMC Stubs reward card?)
