There is a single line for both people who bought tickets online and people buying tickets at the theater which creates a long wait every time we come to this theater. The drink machines are dirty and out of ice and many items on the menu are consistently out of stock. The staff or lack of seems overwhelmed and there's never anyone working the bar, you would think a company like this would want to sell drinks. read more

This theater is disgusting. Came in used the restrooms and they for completely deplorable. We got here early so we had a drink at the bar before our movie started. Once finished we went to our movie which was in theater 9 and it had not even been cleaned. The trash can at the entrance was overflowing and the carpet was strewn with debris and popcorn. It has been a while...like 20 years since I have been to this movie theater. The theater is attached to Arrowhead mall and there is plenty of parking spaces. I ended up buying the tickets on the AMC app and I also bought the popcorn, gummies and a drink which was supposed to be delivered at our movie time. As far as tickets go it was really easy. We walked in and there was two areas one for premium members and online tickets. You could also buy your tickets there in person as well. We walked up and they scanned the code on my phone and off we went to the theater. I really love being able to pick out exactly what seats you want so you can arrive right at showtime and know everyone is sitting together. We skipped the concession as I figured what we ordered would be delivered soon. The theater was really clean and the recliners were soooooo comfortable! Like sitting on your own Lazy boy at home. We reclined back and waited for the show to start. We were still waiting for the popcorn to be delivered. About an hour and 10 minutes after the movie started I ventured to the concession to see when it would arrive. They had no order in my name...okay. So I get pushed to the side to talk to I assume the manager. She asks what I ordered and when I put it in. Almost had a feeling like they doubted I even ordered. I pulled up my order and said it was $15 to be delivered which I paid the delivery fees and whatever other fees were tacked on. I asked if I could go back to the movie and they could deliver like I paid for and was told to wait and they'll be with me again. After about 10 minutes they hand me the stuff I paid for and was off to my seat again. Overall I would not order the concession online as you don't get a second chance to make a first impression. I'll order whatever we want before the movie next time. The chairs were really comfortable and it was clean so we will be coming back here our next movie outing. I went to go watch the new alien movie i am 14 my mom went with me to make sure i could go without a parent as-long as they have her permission because it was an R-rated movie. The man at the counter said it was ok for all me and my brothers we then went in. We also asked if it was ok if it our other friends could come in a little later as long as we come in and show them we are with them they would be good to go. They got there and we went there and then this "Supervisor" named brandon then says that everything the other employee said was completely false and then proceeded to give all of us a refund. If I could give no stars I would. When you first walk in there's like three different line options which is unnecessary confusing. The staff when ordering snacks was rushed. Not a big deal until you look at everything else.. the place was a mess, it looked honestly like trailer park trash. Most machines are out of drinks and overflowing with ice, the floors were littered with trash and popcorn which was disgusting to walk through, the popcorn station is covered in butter and toppings mess. The theater didn't even look clean when we went in. Seats are sticky and there's trash leftover from the last movie. We saw a 3D movie and it was hard to watch through the glass dividers they had, as they were covered in sticky finger prints and looked like soda has spilled all over them. For the amount of money they are charging for tickets and snacks you'd think at least some part of it would be worth it. Wrong. I will be going to the cleaner, cheaper , and friendlier Harkens across the street and will not be returning here. read more

This theater is located at the Arrowhead mall. Parking during the holidays is really busy, so you may want to plan a little extra time so you aren't late for your film. We bought our tickets and chose our seats all online. As we entered the theater, the staff scanned our tickets on our phone. There was no line for that or the concessions. Food prices were outrageously expensive. My husband and I split a large popcorn and soda drink. The combo was $15. The popcorn seemed a bit old, and the pieces were broken and small (more like crumbs). There is a place to squirt extra butter, but you have to buy the popcorn seasoning and flavors. The soda machines are awesome. Push a few buttons and fill up your cup with your preferred flavor. The theater room we were in was really small, and we worried that the screen would be the size of our TV, but that wasn't the case at all. The screen filled the entire wall. The sound quality was excellent. Since it was a smaller room, there weren't a bunch of people entering or exiting during the film or talking and disturbing others. The red, leather recliner seats were a welcome surprise. It was also wonderful having an arm rest to yourself and not having to fight over it. Our party of 6 were not able to sit in one row together. We had to sit three behind and three forward which made it difficult for sharing popcorn and drinks. Next time, we will take that into consideration. All in all, a nice moviegoing experience, and I would be happy to return to this venue in the future. read more

As life creeps toward normalcy, we were looking forward to a showing of The Quiet Place 2. Bought tickets online for early Sunday morning. Very disappointed in the condition of the theater. The chairs were torn in several places. Popcorn and trash littered the floors (evidently from the night before as this was the first showing of the day). Overall rating is closer to a 3.5 because I love how comfy the seats are and the fact that they recline! This is a typical movie theater attached to the mall -- you can purchase tickets online and skip the line, use a kiosk once you enter, or stand in line and grab tickets. For popular movies, I would highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance online. Seats are assigned and you'll get stuck with the short end of the straw if you don't reserve in advance. Ticket prices seem crazy inflated at times which is a bit frustrating, but the price often outweighs driving further out for a cheaper ticket. The theaters themselves have been pretty clean during my visits, but the bathrooms could be a bit more clean. Good place to watch a movie if you're in the area, particularly if you want some comfy seats. read more

This theater has basically been here since the mall first opened in the mid-late 1990s. It was wonderful at first and then it gradually became run down as most places do after a couple decades. I gradually found myself going to other theaters for this reason. Today was a fluke that my hubs and I ended up here. We received free movie passes and decided to give this newly renovated and upgraded theater a try again when going to see Riddick and wow, the theater is so much neater and streamlined. I love the self automated soda fountains where you can add your own flavors in. I love being able to choose seats while buying tickets so you don't have to worry about finding seats (when it's already pitch dark because you waited too long to drive to the theater and are grateful there are previews. But who procrastinates like that anyway?) The automated reclining seats are extremely comfortable!! I almost felt like I was in Scottsdale at iPic, but instead I was right here at an AMC theater on the "west side" of town. It's about time!! read more

What happened to this place it's an absolute dump do they even clean between showings of movies anymore the glass in the theater doesn't look like it's been cleaned in months the floors are all sticky. After missing movies for months it was kinda sad. At least this was a better experience than the Camelback Esplanade. Karen had to have somebody clean her tables because they were sticky. Also you charge me a dollar for delivery service when you don't even have a concession stand lame. Then asking somebody for a refill on popcorn yeah actually have to go back to the counter for that because it's too complicated for these teenagers to put popcorn in a bag. We love this theater because it is convenient for us to get to, and it has a Dolby theater option! We generally try to see everything that comes out in Dolby! Went to see Top Gun last night at Arrowhead AMC in the mall and sat midway in the theater. The air conditioning was blowing out the vents so loud you couldn't hear the dialog. The rows in front of us were laughing and enjoying the show while the back half of the theater just sat there because we couldn't hear hear it. One guest went and told the employees to turn off the air or to turn up the sound and neither happened. Huge disappointment considering I waited over 36 years for the movie to come out. I come to this theater a lot and it is very clean and up to date with everything a theater can offer. But I have to say this is my first time being disappointed in a theater and that's hard to do. The only reason it's not 5 stars is that the bartenders seem to not know much on bar tending. Very light on drinks, if I'm paying for a mixed drink with a full shot it should be a full shot and not half plus the bartender was reading from a list on how to make drinks the whole time while there was already half a dozen customers waiting. If In training at least have extra help. I almost missed the beginning of my movie even after showing up 15 minutes early. I had a way better experience at AMC Deer Valley so I guess I just assumed it should be the same. All I have to say is please have bartenders properly trained for a busy day or have extra help. read more

what a cluster fuss! Not typical for AMC but this was WORST movie going experience i've ever had ... air conditioning not working ... garbages not emptied ... trash overflowing. Likely the case that understaffing is in part to blame for the miserable conditions in the theater. I'm sure the rank and file were doing their best, but in the absence of a hands on manager the situation was not salvageable. But wait, it gets better: 1.25 hours into movie a technical glitch resulted in loss of sound. We left shortly after that. Another movie Theatre just like all the other AMC theatres that I've been too. Nothing particularly special about this location that makes it stand out. Ticket prices are pretty average for an AMC maybe even slightly higher than other locations in the area. One time I came here I came about 20 minutes early in order to get my tickets before the movie started, but they didn't even open up their door until 5 minutes before the movie started!! I didn't even have time to get a drink or any snacks before I had to rush at get my tickets from the ticket machine. Note: They charge you a service fee to use the ticket machine. I don't know if this is a new thing or I've just never noticed it before. If I had known that, I'd probably would have bought it online. I was just trying to save a little money. Concessions offer all the popular snack foods along with some more "fancy" food like flatbread pizzas and gourmet pretzels. I hardly ever get snack food at the theatre as they are so outrageous!! I'm not going to pay $12 for a plain pretzel!! I do indulge and get me an ICEE which cost me just over $6 for a large. Not bad I guess. The theatre rooms range from large to some small ones. The small ones haven't been updated so even though they have reclining chairs, they are all worn out and some have holes and rips in them. The carpet is also well worn out as well. Another thing is that this theatre seemed pretty warm like they didn't have the ac on high enough, especially for mid-summer. Not my favorite location, but will come to it again if I'm in the area and I just have to see a movie at that time. Otherwise, I'll go to another location. read more

The line was quick to get in but getting a drink and popcorn was a slow agonizing pain in the ass On a weekend night for premier night of a popular movie there should be more than one bartender and 2 snack stand reps. I got here 30 mins early for movie and was late to movie cause the lack of service. Good lord. Opening night for a huge movie should have more than 3 employees across the board, especially at a large mall. The theatre was clean so that was fine. The seats are comfy. Went to watch the movie "Cop Shop" in theater number five on September 21st 2021, had the seats at the very top where they have what I assume is a protective glass which was filthy! Finger prints and smears all over the glass from beginning of the row to the end. Didn't realize the entire row was filthy and un-sanitized until the movie was over and the lights were switched on. The row was filled with trash, cups and half filled popcorn bags along with wrappers and nacho containers. The customer service was ridiculous. They had served everyone after me, before me... had me wait 15 minutes for them to tell me they burnt my hotdogs. They offered me a refund for the hotdogs which was about the only good thing about this god forsaken place. read more

This theatre has gone down the tubes. The seats are beat up and ripped and look like they haven't been wiped down in several weeks. Greasy popcorn butter and sticky soda is all over and the glass wall in front of the seats is filled with greasy fingerprints that had to have been there a very long time. Went to see a movie the other night and was kind of disappointed. As my boyfriend and I were buying a drink the young man working the cashier had an airpods in. Which is fine but as we were paying and being helped he got on his phone. As that was happening the two other young men were standing behind making remarks like "do you guys sell popcorn here" as they laughed. Why buy a ticket online ahead of time when you have to stand in line for a half hour anyway, waiting for the person in front of you to apply for a mortgage or something at the counter. After you finally get up there you're told there's no AC, but you had to plan ahead to see this three hour movie so you can't reschedule and decide to see it anyway. Its a shame you can't get a cold drink or anything since the concession line is litterally pushing up against the exit door. Navigate your way through the garbage filled floor to your theater, number 4, the Dolby highlight of the building, only to see that the screen is damaged, scratched, folded, and creased, probably from irate customers who didn't realize just how hot and humid it would be with the AC off. I've gone to this theater a few times throughout the last 3-4 years and it seems like they are always understaffed. I never thought to write a review because it never really bothered me until last night. I want to preface that I don't blame the young employees or any of the employees. They are always respectful, nice, and do good at their positions. Last night I went to watch Gaurdians OTG 3 at 8:00 pm. At 7:58 pm the theatre was still not cleaned from the previous movie. We were told that the staff was running behind. It was apparent because every trash can in the theater was filled to the brim and the lines were extremely long. They sent one person to clean up and she was trying to get everything done quickly. The bathrooms... were so gross. One sink was filled with water, no soap in any of the dispensers, multiple un flushed and clogged toilets, & toilet paper everywhere. Not to mention the toilet paper is awful. After coming for the past 3-4 years, It's totally clear that this is not an employee issue but an AMC, management or company issue. If you show respect to your employees they will have respect for their jobs. read more

My preferred location is the Deer Valley AMC 17 but will occasionally come here if the showtimes are more convenient. I did write a long review for here a couple of years ago but I voluntarily deleted it as it was a diatribe of complaining and felt it was no longer relevant. So I wanted to start anew. This is conveniently located at Arrowhead Towne Center with plentiful parking. Downside to that is that you'll have to fight with regular mall traffic on busy days and this can be frustrating. This location is definitely on the small side but gets the job done. I cannot stress enough to pre-purchase tickets online so that you can ensure having the best seats or close it to as possible! I believe all AMC theatres have pre-assigned seating and this location is no different. You are doing yourself a disservice by not doing the pre-purchase. Overall, I do recommend this location for those interested. There isn't any issues to say otherwise. read more

Updating my review and bumping down the ratings to a 1 star after last nights experience. For a Monday night, the theatre is never usually packed and is usually empty. I went ahead and bought tickets online for a movie showing so it would expedite the process and for convenience. Upon entering, there was much confusion as many people were in line waiting to buy tickets and others were waiting in the same line when they already purchased ahead of time, so it was a mess. There was only 1 worker behind the ticketing counter who was running from scanning pre paid tickets to running to those who needed to buy tickets. On top of that, there were 2 workers standing nearby doing nothing! The worse part was the concessions! Waiting in a line of 20 people ahead of us, only 1 worker behind the concessions! He was trying to handle getting the popcorns and snacks as well as ringing everyone up. It was a mess. The 2 workers standing along side the front did nothing to help and no one seemed to care as customers were getting frustrated! There was a man that came out that I assume must be a manager or something but he didn't seem to care either but he did send over 1 girl. The girl didn't seem to care about her job and took her sweet time getting to concessions. She aided the guy behind concessions and filled popcorns and he continued to ring up customers.
