Saw Mary Poppins with my granddaughter. We went before 6 and for a senior and a 4 year old it cost almost 20.00. She wanted a kids popcorn that came with a drink and fruit snacks and we also got cheese sticks. That was 15.00 and I will say the cheese sticks were very good but the sauces were just ok. I remember when this theater actually had 24 screens. :) The updates made to help modernize this location have been a very welcomed addition. Oversized leather chairs that recline? Check. Reserved seating? Check. Great app features to sync your Stubs account, earn rewards, and earn rewards? Check, check and check. I feel like AMC has finally moved into the 21st century with their offerings and features. I purchase the $15 annual Stubs Premiere account that gives bonus points on all purchases (earn those $5 cards much faster), plus you get free upgrades on all drink and popcorn sizes. Get a large for medium price, medium for the small prices, etc. This location also has a Premiere members waiting queue for concessions so no waiting when the lines are crazy long and your movie starts in 5 minutes. You can associate your membership to the AMC mobile app- so no card to lose. Prices are competitive IMO - matinees are cheaper and a great way to save some money with larger groups. There are automated machines to purchase tickets or claim tickets you bought with the app (or online). Makes things a little easier- although the QR scanner on those machines need some help. They rarely work. For the adults this location serves alcohol. Everything from a cold beer to wine to mixed drinks. They even have "themed" drinks in the spirit of movies (i.e.; Margarita of Doom a la Indiana Jones style). I haven't enjoyed an adult beverage here so no idea on costs- expect a markup though. You can also order fare beyond the popcorn, nachos and candy. There are chicken fingers, pizza and a few other items that looked & smelled pretty good (girl next to me ordered the pizza). There are multiple Coke "mix" machines to concoct your own invention of soda flavor- or just go with a boring old Coke Classic. There's Icee machines as well- we like to get the kid's package that includes a small drink, popcorn and fruit candies- then fill the cup with Icee. Parking is easy, there are lots of lunch/dinner choices within walking distance if you want a meal before/after the movie. The Living Room is a great drinks and apps place literally next door to the AMC front doors. With a friendly staff and easy access lines- this AMC is a great location. We have frequently gone to this theatre, we may never go back! If I wasn't looking forward to seeing Jumunji we would have definitely asked for a refund. These are only a sample of the disgusting mess we found at this theatre last night . Only after several of us complained did they kinda of clean theatre we were going into before movie started !. Management on duty blamed lack of help yet he wasn't lifting a finger to rectify the situation ‍. Floors were soak with spills, food everywhere including all over seats in theatre, garbages overflowing , bathrooms hadn't been touched in what looked like all day! We came because we had gift cards from Christmas, will we be back? Heck no! Everything is touch screen automated which is bizarre. The concession stand threw me for a loop. You place an order at yet another touch screen and then go and serve yourself as long as you are just ordering soda, popcorn or snacks?! What? If you want a comfortable movie going experience, AMC is the way to go. The recliners in each theatre are great with ample room for relaxation and a nice amount of space to host your concessions. The ticket buying process is great that you can do it ahead of time to secure your seat, however the app tends to freeze and will lock your selected seats for a certain amount of time, prompting you to select different seats. You can also order concessions on the app, allowing you to skip both the ticket line and the concession line. The customer service at this location was something to be desired; with the negating of their involvement with the ease of the app they seem to feel it unnecessary to attempt anything related to customer service. The concession and ticket prices are a little better than other theatre giants, especially matinee prices, even more so if you sign up for the memberships. This is a great location for a movie going experience if you go earlier in the day and bypass the ticket and concession interactions. read more

What has happened to our customer service and personal attention talking to a human... I've been going to an AMC theater for a long time but I'm done after yesterday watching Star Wars on Ray rd. Everything is too automated for me... Tickets thru a machine, your popcorn order thru a machine, pay to a machine and then go get your order at the concession stand where nobody was Just help yourself I guess... problem is that it cuts humans out of a job being replaced by expensive computers & machines. No personal touch... but obviously it makes the owners more money and they don't have to worry about life's issues with human help..like calling in sick... understaffing or overstuffing according to their business model according to your seasonality spikes. Nice theater! Not too bad of a seat layout. It is a little annoying having to reserve seats ahead of time, but I guess it's almost no different than having to find a seat once you get in. With the large seats, the theaters tend to have little capacity, so being able to find a seat in an optimum location within the theater can be a bit tricky. read more

Remembering a time when Ahwatukee 24 was "it" for us in the area, we went to a matinee to avoid driving in circles in search of parking. Our ticket purchase using the kiosk was easy; the seating choices logical with the movie screen at the top (not so at another well known spot and ended up 2nd row to see Black Panther...ugh!). The concession prices are high. Very high, such that it got me thinking of what I usually pay at our "home" theater. So high, I had to ask my husband if it was my imagination. Nope! $17.50 for a large popcorn and soda! They give you the tub and a cup, you butter and fill your own. One machine had no butter and after two attempts on a drink, I found one that tasted as it should. The theater was fine. Reclining comfortable seats and good sound. Restrooms were in good shape and overall the theater was clean. Coming attractions were excessive - 25 minutes in fact - which made timing a concern - wondering when we would leave before the movie even began. I'll go back, eating before or after at a nearby restaurant and with more time to relax and enjoy. read more

Friends wanted to meet at this movie theater, this was my first and only time I will ever go to this theater. Sticking with the Harkins at Chandler mall from now on. I bought my ticket online which was it's own issue as it wouldn't let me redeem a voucher stating I was out of the state to redeem, which is not true. Talking to corporate about that now. Upon walking in to the theater I noticed the cleanliness was lacking, the kiosks to order snacks on were all smudged with no one in sight or wipes to wipe them down. The employees filling orders and calling numbers all look irritated to be working in general. Bathrooms reeked of urine and looked like the haven't been cleaned or trash emptied since the following day. The theater itself is large. Most recliners for our large group all had issues. Most all had tears that were patched up with matching red duct tape, watch your hair it will get stuck. Recline buttons get stuck so you have to be ready to push the up/down button when you're nearing your desired position. Some didn't fully go down and some didn't even turn on. It wasn't until later that we looked behind the seats and realized the ones that didn't work weren't even plugged in. Make sure you check your cup holders because they're not emptied or cleaned between movies, we found dental floss sticks, napkins and leftovers in ours. Perfect theater to go to if you want to catch covid or whatever other cold is going around. read more

Popcorn everywhere, drinks spilled all over the floor, bathrooms a disaster etc. I'm giving two stars based on the fact that the chairs were comfortable and they serve alcohol. I saw maybe 5 employees in the entire establishment on a busy Saturday night. I can't imagine trying to clean up after that many patrons with such limited staff. read more

Good god just had to walk out of Jumanji or whatever the F my wife just took me to see. They had a homeless person in the theater with a shopping cart next to her full of garbage bags. Whole place smelled like bucket camel assholes boiled in fish eyes. She was literally pissing herself in her chair. Left and complained to the manager and the guy said there's nothing he can do. He gave us 3 free movie passes that I'm throwing in the trash right now. I'm 100% serious about this today is 15Feb2020. Love this theater! Staff is always friendly and happy to assist. Chairs are super comfy and relaxing! I took one star off because whenever we order food, it seems like it always takes 20+ minutes to get it and this is a bit extensive. Food is great and we enjoy it, but we end up running to make our movie even though we arrived 30 min before the show. They also ask you which sauces you want with the tenders and 99% of the time they give you 1 of the 3 you asked for or they give you 3 wrong ones... We also love A-List! Definitely makes the theater a bit more crowded but super convenient and affordable. read more

Their remodel went downhill quick. It was adequate before their remodel but nothing like it was in early 2000s. Now It's thrashed and dirty. I like being able to pre-purchase my seat and they recline which is nice. But having to argue with a guy to get out of my seat is ridiculous. I usually see movies at a Harkins theater. However, I recently discovered this theater and I might have to reconsider. Two things I love about this AMC: 1) $5 matinee pricing (before 4 pm) everyday. I normally only go to early movies anyway so this is a great deal! It's even cheaper than Harkins. 2) Every theater has reclining/comfy seating. Even though some of the theaters are smaller, you still get a relaxing seat. AMC's seem to have slightly higher prices on concessions, but it's gotten to a point where I don't go to the movies very often anymore so the "deals" they offer at Harkins (drink cups & popcorn shirts) aren't as worth it for me as they used to be. We got an Icee and popcorn and that put us back $15! I would say this theater would be totally worth it if you went to matinee and didn't go crazy at the concession stand. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced at a theatre. The girl at concessions acted like we were a huge burden because we were still deciding what we wanted (mind you, there was no one behind us so we weren't in anyones way) and then when we tried to use a gift card she slammed it on the counter saying "it doesn't work". We got a manager to come over and she tried to look up the transaction with the card. (Thank goodness I was with the people that gave me the gift card). After 15 minutes of the manager treating us like criminals, we find out the employee that the gift card was purchased from had voided the transaction instead of activating it. The gift card was re-purchased and the manager charged us full price for our popcorn and drink. Not once did we get an apology for the employee error. Not once did we get an apology for the rude girl that slammed the gift card down. Not once did we get an apology for the 15 minutes we spent standing around that made us late to our movie. I expect more from a theatre as pricey as AMC. We anticipated the manager to comp our concessions or give us a pass to come back for the inconvenience and AMC error. We got nothing. Seemed a little long to get snacks at the snack bar when we got there. When we got to our seats everything was fine. Halfway through the movie our recliner chairs stop working. Couldn't put my feet up and my wife's couldn't put hers down. Come to find out (when the movie was over) that the chair got unplugged some how. We were on the top row, so maybe as people were walking back there that it happened to in plug? Not sure why there would be cords on the floor. We went to this theater on 1/14/17 to see Star Wars the theater was nice clean and comfortable until these two men came into the theater drunk and talk loudly through the whole movie... I heard some ask them to be considerate which made them talk louder... Swearing laughing and being kinda intimidating to those of us wanting to watch a movie. Wow. What a disappointment. After having not been for a few months, this theater has really gone downhill. There was popcorn and trash all over the floor, it took ten minutes just to get my cup for a soda, only to find out only 1 out of the 6 soda machines was working, and the bathroom should have been quarantined off by the CDC. Even though this is the closest theater to us, I cannot conceive of us returning unless AMC cracks down on the cleanliness and efficiency of the customer service. I do not know why but it seems every AMC I have been to is pretty dirty. Must be a corporate policy because at Harkins I see someone regularly cleaning the floor and bathrooms, which makes their theaters way cleaner than AMC's. Not only is it dirty, it's pretty expensive too compared with Harkins. Heard they have a loyalty program, but it's nowhere near as good as Harkin's cups and popcorn voucher system. As someone else mentioned too many previews before your show. Finally, one of their reclining seats was broken for my wife's seat. Overall, just a not a good experience. This movie theater is the worst for cleanliness in the Chandler/Phoenix/Ahwatukee area. I have seen dozens if movies at the Ahwatukee 24 theater in the past few years. No matter what time of day it is the restrooms are filthy. There is slippery water on the floor in the stalls, by sink, and entry way. In addition wet toilet paper also on floors. The seats and arm tests often are sticky or have food stuck to them. It would be nice if management would keep up on cleaning procedures. read more

This movie theater is absolutely disgusting and has gone really downhill the past few months. I recently went and noticed the price has gone up significantly. I also noticed concession prices went up. $9.00 for a soda and $10.00 for popcorn is absurb. Recently they decided to move to kiosk for tickets and drinks. If there are issues with any of the kiosks, most of the few employees there are helpless. Let's also bring up how horribly maintained the facilities are kept. My boyfriend and I are frequent movie goers, and we stopped in to see the premiere of Star wars last night. I love the fact that we could purchase our tickets online and choose our seats so that we weren't rushed at the theatre. I'm also a huge fan of the reclining chairs, which have pulled us over to team-AMC! Upon arriving to our movie we bought some cinnamon pretzel bites (amazing!) and my boyfriend asked the cashier about the novelty tin star wars bins. My boyfriend commented that he was interested in buying one especially since we come to the movies often. And the cashier, Joseph, responded, "I don't know man, you seem pretty sketchy" Excuse me?!? Not only do I not understand what would cause him to say such a thing. I cannot fathom the idea of thinking that is acceptable to say to a customer. Recently went to this theaters it has but up graded to theater seats which recline & foot rest, similar to Esplanade but without the service buzzard. Now you get your own tickets when you walk in with a credit card similar to an ATM machine but there are people standing by to help you. They also have a bar fully stocked in the lobby. Look very nice. I will be returning AMC has been one of my favorite theaters. read more
