Love the recliners and option to pick your specific seat. I always have to have an Icee when I watch a movie.
Johnny J.

I was in the area and waiting for some car repairs. They were going to take way longer than expected, I didn't want to just sit in a restaurant or a sports bar for that long so seeing a new movie was the perfect option. This was one of my favorite theaters back in the day so it was nice to see the upgrades to everything. Great experience from customer service, food and drink options, and a hr seating in the theater and cleanliness was all great. The End Of Oak St was a fun and exciting watch.

I haven't been to this location in years, but when I used to live in the area, we were there quite often! They've made some changes, adding a bar and self-serve kiosks, but overall, it's just like I remember. The service was great, and the theater was comfortable and relaxing. The chairs all worked and were in great shape. I definitely recommend this location!

We went to see Pride and Prejudice Anniversary showing! Amazing hope to see more classics on the bring screen brought back.

Date night to see Pride and Prejudice Anniversary showing. Hope they play more classics. I like that you can choose your seats when you book online. The seats are big comfy chairs that recline fully. Great experience.

Purchased tickets online (which is pretty easy) and enjoyed the movie, but... Dear AMC, please do a better job of cleaning this facility to have people return. Everything from the food staging area, to the theater seats to the bathrooms all need to be kept up. Not sure if it's staffing or lack of commitment but its hard to enjoy an experience when things around you aren't kept clean. In addition, I know it's a movie theater and the prices are gonna be high, but coming out the pocket $20 for some stale popcorn and a drink is not gonna cut it.

Thank god for AMC! We are avid A-List members and I like that we have the chance to visit locations in other states (especially given that CA charges a lot more than other states) and we were pleasantly surprised by this location. We originally went to their counterpart in Biltmore which I positively will not be returning to due to the fact that there is nothing self-serve there and your refills are basically nonexistent. Here, however, you have self-serve kiosks and fast service. And boy, were they busy! The recliners are clean. I can't recall if they were heated but I don't think they were. The audio and picture was great. We saw the new Alien movie here and overall had a great experience. It's in a huge plaza with ample parking and dining. Highly recommend. (28/100--2024)

Looks clean? WRONG - Wait until you get inside This place is filthy

Updated 7-7-25 3rd Review in 6 Months. Again a 1 star ranking because that's the worst rating possible. A DIRTY THEATRE makes it really hard to relax and enjoy the movie. Again, 1 out of 2 seats DID NOT RECLINE. Can't wait until I'm out of AMC gift cards so I can switch to a new theatre chain.

My next movie

I did a double header and saw 2 movies- Bonhoeffer and Wicked. I treated myself to some Concessions and had the pleasure of being served by a kind person named Landon. Thank you Landon. I gave it 2 stars because of the smell in the theatre rooms. While having a mask helped, the smell was still there. I originally thought it was isolated to my first movie, but it wasn't. The carpets might need a refresh.

The most recent movie I saw was Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and I had an absolute blast watching it. When the theater first opened, I remember being warmly greeted by the staff, and I also like that you can purchase tickets online in advance. Being able to purchase tickets online in advance makes things a lot easier, as you can avoid waiting until the last minute and missing out on the best seats in the theater. One thing I really like about the theater is that their food is great. While it is a bit pricey, I really enjoy their food and their popcorn. Some of my favorite popcorn flavors are parmesan and herb, as well as white cheddar. I also like the theater's atmosphere, as it is nice and cool inside, which is perfect when you are looking to escape the intense summer heat. If anyone in Tempe is looking for a great movie theater with great popcorn, I highly recommend Tempe Majestic 7.

Gimme some nachos with jalapeños, & call it a night! They had "chips & queso," which I did not order bc I didn't want a spicy cheese. Idk if that's what it was, but I wanted regular, smegular nachos, guys. There was no one to check our bags, or tickets, nor to direct us to the theater. Just check in at the front & walk right in, I guess. Ordering via the QR code also became difficult once the lights dimmed. My camera would not pick it up in the dark. Also, kinda annoying when the waitress/waiter keeps coming back to bring you stuff bc they block the screen from other viewers. Plus, they DID have a bar, but I didn't order from there, so no other comments about that! Meh experience overall. There just wasn't anything special about it. Harkins will do!

We both ordered the Chipolet Chicken sandwich he wanted regualar fries and I upgraded for the southwest fries. He had the fried chicken and I had the grilled. People that came to the theater after us were being served their order before us. It took almost 30 minutes before our order arrived. Both fries were cold and I didn't get my southwest fries. The server said he would go get them for me. I waited almost 10 minutes and got another server and after another 20 minutes the southwest fries arrived. The cheese was stone cold. I barely touuched them and the sandwhich had chicken on one side and no meet on the other side. After the movie, I requested to see the manager. The manager came and instead of apologizing he was combative. Stating to me that the southwest fries were not cold because he plated them . Saying to me " what do you want me to do?" Also stating that he is glad they have cameras, because he wants to get to the bottom of this. But never just apologizing. I informed him how my sandwhich had no chicken on 1/2 of it and he said that is the way they measure it. It was gross the way I was treated and I was reasonible. I told him I have no problem paying for my sons dinner and both drinks, but not mine. He accommodated me but was not apologetic. I have been going for years to this theater and it seems that the food has been inconsistant. The manager seemed more like he didn't care. I thought I would let you know. You go to have a good night. You indulge by ordering food to enjoy the whole experience. I shouldn't have rebuttals when I am telling him (and on camera), what I received as a customer.

The seats are large & very comfortable, the tables are a good size, and I appreciate the space between tables where the napkins and ketchup mustard are. I do think the theatre could use a bit extra cleaning as there were some sticky spots on my armrest but overall didn't bother me. I got the burger that has ghost pepper sauce and jalapeños on it but did a crispy chicken sandwich. It was messy but delicious. The coleslaw texture was nice and crunchy but lacked flavor. The waffle fries are incredible. The salted caramel gelato was ultra creamy and delicious BUT did have a few random huge chocolate (maybe) pieces in it? In the dark theatre I couldnt see them in my cup and had no idea what they were because they weren't sweet in my mouth either. Just spit them out out of caution. Service was friendly but pretty hands off. We pressed the button when we got there and they came and took our order. We put the food in and he gave us the option to do our gelato 30 minutes after our food arrived, we agreed. Food came, gelato never came so we had to press the button and a new woman came and took our order, she said it never got rang in so we had to chit chat more than we would've liked during the movie. Just a slight error. They also did not clear our tables until the very end of the movie, I'm not sure if that's normal or not but it would've just been nice if they took my dirty dinner plate when I got my gelato. Nontheless our experience was nice and I would absolutely return for the Tuesday movie deal! Next time I want to try their big bowl of popcorn. Also side note - anyone complaining they check your bag. First off, it's a quick glance not anything crazy. Second, this is a restaurant concept and movies are discounted (vs Harkins) because of it. If you want to sneak food in, go to a regular theatre. They clearly make their money on f&b sales. This is a small business. Respect it and don't complain. Also, they allow water bottles :)

They also wouldn't let you bring alcohol from the bar in the movie theater lobby of the main theater. We ended up drinking our drinks and then running back over for the movie. We did order popcorn and food before the show and it was all good. The theater was nice, enough room for people to walk by in front of you without having to stand up and let them by. This location has a full bar in the lobby with many regional beers on tap. You can also order food while in the theater and the friendly servers will bring it to the table between each pair of seats! Wednesdays they have a $5 menu for popcorn, pretzels and more. This is one of few places I can eat popcorn without any digestion issues...not something I can say at the larger rival theaters! The theaters are clean and spacious. While the chairs don't have automated controls to recline, they are large, comfortable and spaced apart so you're not rubbing elbows with the stranger next you. They have a lot of quirky and nostalgic advertisements and videos to watch before the movie starts. You may enjoy these more than your feature film! A few drawbacks are 1) the theaters are smaller than most...so if you're looking to watch a hot new release it may be hard to find seats during prime time. 2) Given the smaller theater, the screen is also on the smaller size. 3) As they deliver food during the movies, you may have workers walking by you often depending your seat choice. Their system isn't foolproof as I had them deliver me food for other people and watch my food go to other people. Overall, if you're looking to avoid the larger theaters and have some older-fashioned fun, this is a great place to visit!

Their kettle corn is my favorite, and the snack pack is - in my opinion - the perfect portion size for one person to munch on. I'd skip on the pretzel bites. I also like ordering my snacks for pickup right before the movie so that I can just walk in and grab them - no need to stand in line. Some of the theater rooms have tables that swivel out from the chairs - this is gamechanging for when you have multiple snacks to hold. I don't think all the rooms have them though, but it was a very pleasant surprise the first time I saw them. I also love that the aisles are very spaced out and the height between each one is enough that you don't get peoples heads in the way if theyre in front of you. You get a clear view of the screen from every aisle. Most recently, I was here for a screening of Tony hosted by A24. It was a pretty straightforward process of registering online then showing up relatively early because the seating was first come, first served. Screening started at 7pm so I showed up at 6pm and there was already a good amount of people in line but I was hopeful. What they didn't make super clear was that the line was only for General Admission, and there was already an unknown number of people in the theater that got in first due to some kind of Priority Access. Not sure how they got that. All us common folk waited in line - which moved very slowly, until around 7:55pm. Then, one of the managers told us 5 minutes before the screening that the seating was full. I feel like there was a chance to tell us a bit earlier, since there were still about 50 of us waiting in line. I was about 15 people away from getting in, but they could have told the people at the very back of the line that it was unlikely they would get in so that they wouldn't waste their time waiting. Not a super big deal - it was a free screening - but the manager showed us a QR code to scan and fill out a google form to get priority access to a screening the following week. Maybe the priority people that day were rejects of a previous day... very enlightening. What she didn't specify is that the screening was at a Harkins location in Scottsdale - and that was only clear after filling out the form and getting an email about it days later. Don't know why they were gatekeeping information; I would have preferred to know more details upfront. I ended up getting a ticket to a different movie that also started at 7pm, so at least my theater outing wasn't wasted. Staff at the concessions is quick- it's just the customers that are sometimes so slow in deciding what they want to order. Appreciate that this harkins has the recliner seats. Overall, I just want the organization of the screenings to be better.
