The masseuses were clearly untrained--there was excessive use of oil, awkward pressure, and random elbowing that felt more like rough play than massage. At one point, the masseuse even laughed with her colleague while continuing a technique that was more ticklish than relaxing. The room was cold, and instead of proper sheets or blankets to stay warm, we were given hot towels that only made the temperature contrast more uncomfortable. The entire setup felt more like a training center than a professional spa. The included "champagne and chocolates" was equally disappointing. Despite asking ahead if the chocolate was vegan, we were given two random Halloween-sized candies (Twix and KitKat) and flat, tasteless champagne. This experience was a complete waste of time and money. I left feeling more stressed than when I arrived and immediately went searching for another spa to salvage the day. During the session, even though I paid for a Brazilian, she kept trying to get me to do a bikini wax instead (maybe less work for her?) and I had to refuse multiple times. After the appointment, and when I was about to leave, she said she would charge me an extra $15 because my hair was coarse and she did the back (which is what a Brazilian is). For me it is the principle of things and the way she went about it. She never mentioned it or said anything during the wax and waited till I was about to leave. I was very upset with that.

And instead of going behind reception to the salon rooms, we were sent back out the door to the salon, up a few flights of stairs inside an old apartment building. When we got to the piles of black garbage bags stacked in the hallway, the door to the spray room was to the right. There's a tiny, shabby waiting room, if you can call it that, and a janky storage room/janitor closet. Plus, the woman getting sprayed had left her stuff all over the one chair, open handbag and everything. The tan itself didn't really look like much, except on my face, which was really dark. But everywhere else you couldn't really notice it. So, nope. Would not recommend. PS: If this review convinces you to go here, be prepared to get totally nay-nay except for disposable paper undies.

I mean I can understand poking and prodding but rubbing and smothering on creams? I have to do that. In my defense though, she still gets angry when I leave her alone; acting all harsh and dry. Let's see how much longer that lasts." So I was quiet. I don't wanna fight. She's tough but sensitive. Evil but at times kinda pretty. I always wondered what it would be like to have skin that looks healthy and happy and beautiful. I told Clori about my one laugh line and she recommended JoJo. JoJo is an esthetician with years of experience that works under Clori's salon. Today was my second visit with her. My first was 3 weeks ago. She used a contouring machine, microneedling, uplifting machine, circulating, facial massage, did extractions and facials. Forget my opinion. My skin loves her! She's not as angry as she used to be. She looks amazing! So moisturized and I swear I can barely see her pores. In fact, she's so dang happy, she took that laugh line away and guess what? She's glowing! Yes Hunty!! Glowing!!! I've scheduled my 3rd appointment for the beginning of December...right around my 35th birthday (yes I'm turning 35 again..so what?) I'm going to continue going to JoJo because she makes my skin happy! And guess what? When she's happy...so am I! Highly, highly recommend!

I had to try it again recently to work with a tight schedule of mine which was a big mistake. It took two hours for a gell fill-in, midday on a weekday. Not only that, but my hands were sore and bleeding, my nails started lifting right away and were breaking after a week. When I was finally able to get back to my usual salon, I needed to get a whole new set because of the damage (and fungus?) that had been done to my hands. She called in and was going to be twenty minutes late but I had another appt after and couldn't wait. How would she feel if I showed up 20 minutes late when she had other clients waiting?
