I love the concept of Amazon Fresh, however, there are too many hiccups; yesterday the female delivery driver refused to carry up my groceries, instead she sent a stranger to tell me it's too heavy, when I called her to enquire what's the issue she disconnected my call and cancel my delivery. I spoke to a wonderful representative who setup a redeliver later in the evening, by that time, many items had sold out and my groceries were left on the steps in the passage way with many missing items. I tip great, however, I will not tip for bad service. I am left upset about this service. read more

" I've been an Amazon Fresh client know for some time and am impressed by the online delivery service. It's great to place my order online, get great deals and pick the date and time of my grocery delivery. It's really a seamless experience and Amazon really carries a wealth of products. Additionally, the prices can be significantly lower on numerous items from staples such as milk and produce. ( Cherries $1.99 a pound). There are also Amazon deals on certain products, for example, a box of Amazon brand cereal bars were @$2. I was passing through Plainview today and was excited to see an Amazon Fresh location and popped in. The store offers everything online with a couple of extras like Rotisserie chicken not offered online. I wanted to try the California sushi 10 piece and found Beecher's cheese and picked that up as well. The only hitch was at checkout: I scanned my Amazon Prime Member bar code which should have automatically used my card on file from online which it didn't. No worries.. Welcome to Plainview - this new Amazon Fresh store replaces a long time empty space where locals every whim was once indulged. Oh well - happy to have a new place - so Amazon Fresh might be a hybrid - Not scary like Lidl - and more of an anti-Fairway - (former long time occupant) but a scaled down mid sized efficiency market. Some items are priced differently for Prime so either load the app on your phone or use your phone number - which works only at self checkout I was told - when it didn't reflect with the cashier. Also saw two sales not showing on my receipt - likely since new. Frozen wild caught shrimp were found.. cage free eggs.. organic gorgeous apples were found and some staples. There was a deli - and there was a hot soup bar which had a few people considering. Friendly people a plus. Would return. read more

I came in for a visit just to see what it was about. I went with my mom as she had a prime return. So I learned you can do your prime returns here, which I guess does make sense. I looked around a little bit. They have your basic grocery essentials. There's also a hot food bar and other food bars. There's also special prices if you are a prime member. If you use the "prime" shopping cart, it scans your items as you put them in your cart and weighs your produce. It also charges your prime account as soon as you are done shopping. I did not have any employee interaction. I don't live nearby, but I'd visit again when in the area. read more

I love Amazon Fresh when you get deals for just being a Prime member! If you don't have Prime it's really not worth coming here. The cost of everyday items is significantly higher than other supermarkets in the area, however, like I said if you have Prime then it's worth it. They have a fantastic selection of produce and meat. We got chicken leg quarters for $3. They also have a deli and bakery department, as well as freshly made pizza to grab and go. There are no tables and chairs here but plenty of boxes to take food from the deli or buffet home with you. They have a few dash carts available so you can add to your cart and shop and just walk out when done. They also have self-checkout which was easy to use. There are also regular checkouts, as well, if you like human to human interaction. Parking lot here has been meh, even when it was Fairway. Park towards the back and walk up. A welcomed store to the area. I no linger work around here but if I did it would be even more beneficial. read more

Honestly, I don't shop using Amazon often, but I have been enjoying visiting this store. It's clean and organized, and they seem to stay on top of their items. For example, I've never picked anything up off the shelves that was expired, and I've never had an issue with an item not scanning at the price it was advertised (which I can't say for the other stores in the neighborhood). I think thr staff here is exceptional. Everyone I have interacted with is friendly and knowledgeable about the ongoings of the store. I don't the prices are anything special, except for their sales. If you look for them, you'll find some good sales and deals throughout. read more

I visited here after work on opening day 10/24. Upon entering I was given a flyer with a coupon for $5 off of $25. There were several door buster deals that run until 10/29 including a 12 oz package of salmon for $4.99 and buy one get one free deals. Prime members got even more deals. In general prices were comparable to other supermarkets in the area. Taking advantage of the deals and using the coupon my total savings was 50%. There are three types of check out methods: the standard way with a cashier, self checkout and dash cart. The were short lines at the standard checkout. No wait at the self checkouts or dash cart lane. With the dash cart there is a touchpad on the cart where you log into your Amazon account (this is how you will pay) and the cart will automatically keep track of the contents inside. After you are finished shopping you just exit through the dash cart lane without having to take out your wallet. I didn't get a chance to try it out since there are a limited amount of dash carts available, but do look forward to trying it out on my next visit. read more

EXCELLENT customer service, convenience & clean store! Great deals with Prime & a coupon is always available. I love the dash cart because I can check the price with my discount after each scan & easily remove items by scanning again. I love the one stop shop for groceries, Amazon returns. Huge store gifts that Costco feel but the prices are Trader Joe's. If you know what I'm saying. I wanted some products that weren't sold anywhere else. Feels like you're in an airplane hanger nobody's really helping so the service is OK. I guess it's mostly self check out and if you have a problem, somebody will pop up to help not crowded. I've gone back three times since my initial visit and there has definitely been some improvement. Some of the produce is still not super fresh, but it's not nearly rotting like it had been. Lots of mark downs for food close to sell by. The cashiers that helped me were so nice. I paid about $68 for four bags of groceries, about 2/3 the price that I would pay if I shopped at the chain market down the road. read more

The DELI needs to learn how to wrap sliced cold cuts. It would help if you sold Boars Head because they provide resealable bags. If not ask your vendor for resealable bags. The customer has to cut open the bags with a scissor and then rebag it!! read more

Watch out when you scan your purchases. Three items - two that were on sale came up at a much higher cost when I was checking out. I went at Amazon Fresh Super Market - Plainview, NY-- 50 Manetto Hill Rd. Nov. 20, 2024 I was on my way to Shop Rite and decided to first, check out Amazon Fresh Supermarket that opened nearby my house to see what it is all about. First of all, the location is absolutely great, as well as the entire shopping center atmosphere with ample parking. So I walked in, and everything looked nice, clean and fresh! The entire supermarket is very well organized with lots of 'breathing' space. Very comfortable to shop. All the staff, from the cashiers to the managers were approachable, helpful and professional. Ready, willing and able to help with any questions I had. The cashier that assisted me was Matthew. What a great young man, with excellent personality! So, as I walked in with my the (large and clean carriage they have), I began touring the supermarket on the right side section, where the vegetables, fruits and chicken and beef are. All nice aligned and organized. I found a wide selection of Organic and Non-Organic products. They were fresher and more options to select, than Shop Rite & Stop & Shop. The prices were similar to those markets or same. That is without being a member of Prime. If I was a member, the prices would have been lower. They have a nice selection, ( just need larger portions) of Grass fed meat and New Zealand Lamb. Organic chicken whole as well as chicken breasts, thighs etc.. I am mentioning whole organic chicken, because I never find it in Stop & Shop and sometimes it is on Shop Rite at S. Oyster Bay Rd . In other words, not all Shop Rite supermarkets carry whole organic chickens Whoever is a Walmart and or Target food shopping person, then this isn't for you. Because Amazon Prime has Quality! As well as a huge selection of Organic produce, meat and other items. They have more than you can imagine of selection of every type of item, whether it is organic and or not! The deli does not have board's head. ( I am happy they do not carry that). They have the Dietz & Watson. I bought Mourtadella & Dilluso Salami and it was great. They have lots of Italian brands including cheese. And of course they have Greek Feta cheese and other items around the market. They also have a huge selection of Frozen items, and the good pizza. I forgot the brand names. I was truly AMAZED! Obviously, I did all my week's shopping there and it is my 'go- to' supermarket from now on. THIS IS FOR THE BRONX LOCATION!!!! i have made a total of 6-7 complaints to your customer service regarding a delivery issue but nothing has happened. a delivery person by the name of BRANDON has delivered to me 7 times and out of the 7,he has followed directions only once! i have a disability & i'm unable to leave my apartment (hence why i get my groceries delivered to my FRONT DOOR) i SPECIFICALLY state to deliver them to my front door but he doesn't. i live on the 12th floor. he leaves them on the lobby floor where they can & will get stolen. he also doesn't take pictures of the groceries when he steals them. there's another delivery guy named LEROY who on 3/24/25 left my groceries scattered on the lobby floor & on the mailboxes. he didn't bother to come upstairs either. he cut off the tracking so i wouldn't see how close he was then the text popped up that my groceries were delivered. he also does this when he steals them. ive had my groceries stolen or "not delivered" twice by these two people. i will have to get lawyers involved because people like this shouldn't be working as delivery persons if they don't want deliver. I DONT UNDERSTAND!!! i don't know these people personally,why is this happening to me?? & i ALWAYS tip $8-$10!!! I was greatly anticipating the arrival of this store. What I found when I entered blew me away, and not in a good way. Imagine if Aldi, Lidl and Walmart had a baby. Welcome to Amazon Fresh. It boggles my mind that they opened this store here. I can't imagine who did the survey to think this section of Long Island was compatible with this type of market. The merchandising is a mishmash of Walmart shelves and aisles, which then collide into a Whole Foods-type of food bar at the end. The buffet at 1 pm was very clean, looked incredibly untouched and unappealing. Everything was dry and had top-crust on it (if you know you know). A fresh sushi bar is right next to cold cooked slices of pizza with hardened cheese that are placed next to plastic-wrapped packages of take home pizzas. Right next to that are packages of "Fresh Baked Goods" which represent the bakery selection like Walmart has. No real BAKERY. The deli carries no-name brand cold cuts that I wouldn't touch. All I needed was some freshly roasted turkey breast or a good roast beef made on the premises and it would've been ordered, (especially when so many of its are still wary of Boar's Head after their fiasco). The staff were surprisingly not trained well, and couldn't answer if they had anything that was made fresh on the premises. Next! Prices for regular grocery items are incredibly high. Easily higher than both Stop & Shop and ShopRite. Meat and chicken section generic/bland (no better cuts) with some good sale prices, yet the display was so unappealing that I wouldn't touch any of it. I will say that the carts are cool. I put something in just to try out the technology, but bought nothing. Luckily ShopRite is a few minutes away and that's where I went. read more

Things were more expensive than ShopRite but they do have deals for even non prime members. This week, chicken breast, $1.49. It's hard to imagine that anyone with experience in the grocery business would think that this store would be a success. We were anticipating the opening eagerly and went there in need of our weekly food shopping with a $10 coupon off a $50 purchase- normally spending $200 a week on food. We had a hard time coming up with a $50 purchase. There is nothing "fresh". Everything is frozen or processed. We are big seafood eaters and didn't buy anything there. Same for the meats, bakery department and deli. A sad looking buffet and salad bar had no appeal. I also have a problem with weighing and barcoding a banana and an onion. It's like you're taking away a cashier's job. But the kicker was that we purchased a six pack of beer just to reach the $50 and when we got home and looked at the receipt, we were never charged for it so the store lost $14 on our small order. It's sad for the employees and other shops in the center but we won't be going back. The nearby competition offers better products at cheaper prices. It's a shame. read more

Dingy, probably bc of the type of lighting necessary for all the cameras. Dash carts are fussy, keep an eye on your receipt. Confusing layout with narrow aisles. Prices are nothing special and a bit higher than stop and shop and ShopRite on many items. Not a place I would consistently shop in. I can't see this place lasting. The Store is clean . The staff is friendly and helpful .And folks from the area really want you to succeed . However read what the people have to say in their reviews . Do not dismiss it . It comes down to the three Ps Price Price and Price . Your prices are too high! You need to compete with Shoprite, Trader Joes and Lidl. All three stores are busy. they sell and restock with fresh items quickly . Where as if prices are too high like in your store and no one buys anything you will loose money from perishables. Sadly they will be thrown out due to lack of sales .You have to compete ! Its plain and simple common sense . No prime membership this and that and gimmicks like oh look electronic check out carts .
