This is a top-flight storage facility. We used the climate controlled, indoor storage area and it worked out perfectly for our storage needs. The storage areas are clean. I rented at Amazing Spaces Shenandoah for 9 months (October 2021-July 2022). When I began utilizing the storage unit there was allegedly not a problem with rodents. On July 12, 2022 I hired professional movers to move my belongings. When we opened the storage unit And began moving items we noticed there were rat droppings everywhere in my storage unit. Some of my belongings were damaged as a result of rodents. An item was damaged to the point that Patricia the on-site representative on July 12th asked me to leave it behind so that she could use it to address the problem with the Amazing Spaces exterminator! The Amazing Spaces representative, Patricia, who was on-site shared that 2 months ago, prior to me moving out (approximately May of 2022) a field behind the Amazing Spaces facility had been cleared. Patricia shared that Management had concerns about rodents and only placed traps outside the storage facility and had not checked inside the storage facility. I showed Patricia all the droppings and damage to some of my belongings and she stated that she was curious about potential infestation to client units but what I showed her was the proof she needed. I explained to Patricia that I had concerns about further damage to my belongings that I could not see and the cost that I would incur at having to now hire exterminators for my newly built home that has no pests. I explained to Patricia that I deserved to be compensated. I have paid Amazing Spaces $425.00 every month to now have rodent infestations. Patricia did nothing. She told me to leave all of the droppings that I had swept up and the severally damaged item that I had to show her. I gave her the key to the unit and she left. she stated again that she was going to call the exterminator. THEN when attempting to leave the storage facility after finally loading all of my items into the moving truck, I discovered that Patricia deactivated my account which meant that the gate code no longer worked and we were locked inside the facility. I called the emergency management number posted on the door only to find that the representatives could not help me. I was told that the professional moving team and I would have to wait for a call back and that she could not let me out of the gate. I waited for 20mins and called back. Finally I received a call from a nonchalant representative who rudely asked 'well what Is going on, I'm trying to understand why you're locked inside the gate'.' I explained that my move out and walk through had been completed and he shared that when my account was paid in full and deactivated that it invalided my gate code. He also stated that I needed to speak to the property manager about my experience and concerns about rodent infestations. Isn't that facility management 101? Why would you deactivate my account? Who is going to compensate me for the damage to my belongings and the cost that I will incur to ensure that I do not have a rodent problem in my new home? I noticed that the Shenandoah Amazing Spaces facility received an award for cleanliness and service in 2022. It was not deserved and I plan on posting my experience and PICTURES everywhere. read more

I love Amazing Spaces! Location is perfect, safe and clean. Customer service is really good. I have been using a storage unit for work for over a year, I have to pick up stuff a couple of times a week and I always feel safe. I also have great service with shipping and deliveries.The only reason that I didn't rated 5 stars is because I can not use the dumpster for trash :( I have hard time carrying trash and boxes in my car when I have to clean the unit. I paid for 6 months of storage in advance. Yes, the storage facility is nice. The security is first rate, but that is where it all ends. On October 19, 2013 I went to Houston to make arrangements to have my household items moved to my location. The owner of the moving company went to the location with me and we talked to the person in the office. They give you three keys to the unit. I gave the individual we talked to (I'll cut him some slack and not use his name, we'll call him C) 2 of the keys and handed the third one to the movers. C told the him once you load the truck stop at the front and turn the key in. I was told my overpayment and deposit would be returned to me. On the moving date the truck showed up. loaded up, cleaned the unit and when leaving they stopped at the office and returned the key. That was October 21, 2013. On November 23, 2013 I started inquiring as to my refund. I did get a phone call from C saying they did not have the key and I had not moved out of the unit. The person at the office had lost the key and had not done their job. I was told he would call me back. That was the last time I heard from him. All emails went unanswered. The corporate office ignored inquires also. I finally sent to certified letter to the corporate office threatening small claims court. On Monday, December 30, 2013, I received a call from the corporate office saying they would refund my overpayment to my card. Today is January 11, 2014 and I still have not received the refund. This may be a first rate facility but the office and corporate employees leave a lot to be desired. They do not return phone calls and their way of dealing with problems is to completely ignore them. APRIL 2014 I would like to add that Amazing Spaces Corporate Offices became aware of this review and contacted me. They were not aware of the problems I had encountered. They did apologize for the problem and we did come up with some ideas to prevent this from happening again. After talking with Marketing Director I feel they will work hard to prevent this from happening agin. For this reason I am changing the review from one star to 3 stars. The location and units are first rate and now I believe they will make a few simple changes and make it even better. read more

I have only had a need for a Storage space once before. In Lincoln Park, Chicago I found a very nice building in a very professional area by The Stock Exchange on Van Buren St. After renting my 3'x5' space I pulled in to unload my cargo. The space was small cubes divided by chicken wire on plywood floors. A horrible experience and very expensive in a very cold climate. Just a disaster! Recently, needing storage in the Woodlands due to a home renovation I visited Amazing Spaces. Oh My God what a magnificent surprise! Compete paradigm shift! Nonetheless, I was so happy to see the showroom as it reminded me of my western Ski Lodge comfort zone. But when they opened up my storage unit for me in a climate controlled, completely secure environment I stood there thinking..."really, all this is mine!" Very impressive company, very impressive, and thrilled to know MY stuff rests within the security of what has been labeled "The nicest Storage facility in America" by it's peers.
