Right now, Northpark is a mess with the widening project but I don't blame any of the businesses that are having to put up with it but it does mean we have to plan our route and the time of day we go there and back carefully. Our RV trailer is in one of the big open carport style units and I love that it is so easy to back in! And the space is wide enough I can fit our trailer in with room on one side for the fold down steps as well as putting the slide out on the other side when I need to work inside the trailer. The units also have electric outlets close by and this is great because if it is going to be below freezing in the winter I can leave a small space heater inside to keep things from freezing and in the summer I have a small dehumidifier to keep mildew from forming inside. So far we haven't had to deal much with management since renting here but when we first did they were nice. The only reason I knock off a star is for the entrance at the electric gate. There are pot hole in the gravel, I have even brought a shovel to try to refill them but the wheels of vehicles just create the holes again which are a real annoyance when you are pulling a trailer in or out. They really should put down some asphalt on either side of the gate or concrete.

this is the closest rv store near me and it was still an hour away. i came here for a replacement…read morefor my 30 year old motorhome converter so i definitely had to go out of my way to visit this place, but it was necessary. when i first arrived, nobody was there to greet me for about 5 minutes, but i figured they were busy so took a look at the products they were selling as i waited. james, the owner, was available to help, and he seemed nice when we first started talking about the part. but as the conversation continued, he started to become a little more condescending about my knowledge of my rig. eventually, he pulled a converter from his stock, but kept it behind the counter. so i was unable to review the specs myself. then he said he would have his wife, lisa, come out to help me in a moment. he left, and i was alone in the store again for maybe 10 minutes this time. when lisa arrived, i began asking her questions about converters, she seemed knowledgeable, and she seemed to be a lot more willing to find answers for me than james. she was friendly and warm and it was a lot easier to chat with her than her husband. james came in a few minutes later, seemingly upset that i hadnt bought the product yet, saying "what? you're not gonna ask about the price or anything? you're gonna talk to my office lady?" first of all, the disrespect to his wife was absurd. especially in front of a customer. secondly, who in their right mind pays for an expensive piece of equipment without making sure its compatible with what they have? its important to note at this point i have only seen the converter and the info that is printed on its label, which is input/output voltage, watts, make, model, and amps. and warnings of course. there was no indication of what battery system its useable with. so i asked james if he knew, and he didn't. how weird that you would be willing to selling an expensive product and not even know its specs. he referred to the packaging it came in to get this information. offering it to me, like i was suspicious of the validity of the converter on its own. the box was not the problem!! i was trying to get info on the converter to make sure it wouldnt ruin my 30 year old rig. and he was extremely defensive that i had the audacity to ask about the product??? he found out its compatible with apm, lead acid, and lipo4. so with that in mind, i needed to know if the item does trickle charging for the lead acid. james, in snot nosed kid fashion, read the entirety of the box aloud even after supplying the information i had asked for. it smelled like the attitude of someone that just sells products without really knowing its quality. at the end of all this, i asked lisa how much the converter was and i decided the experience with james wasnt worth $500+. im sorry lisa has to be talked down to by her husband like that, especially in front of strangers. what an ugly attitude.

I've had my unit for a little over a year and a half and every 6mos or so they increase the rent 10-13% with no regard to your situation. This last time was 5mos. Another warning sign is I've talked to at least 3 different property managers in that time so the turnover in staff must be pretty high. BEWARE - If you have an after hours emergency or situation, you're out of luck. As a matter of fact, when I moved my things from CA, I had a truck coming after hours the next day, and the person who signed my lease forgot to give me the code to the exterior door to get into the building where my unit was located. I called the office frantic for help and no one called me back. Luckily there was a woman leaving so I flagged her down and she was able to give me the code. If she hadn't been there the truck drivers were going to have to come back the next day and charge me $600 for having to stay overnight. When I returned the next day, I was told by the then manager they aren't allowed to and don't have access to the voice mail to return after hours calls. She was very apologetic and sincere but also unhappy with how the place was being run. Haven't seen her since. Shortly after I was laid off from my job due to COVID, I received an increase letter so I called to see if they could help out by delaying the increase. I spoke to Ashley Stubbs who was very sympathetic, but said it would be up to her manager, Brandon McBride, who she would send an email to asking for a pause on my increase. Of course, I never heard back. Ashley even suggested some customers pay a few months in advance which seems to delay the increases. So, I just got laid off and I'm asking to stop my increases, and you suggest I pay more and in advance of when the payments are due? What kind of company does this to its loyal paying customers during a pandemic? Not a good one. I have been a customer who pays every month on time and to get an increase every 4-8 mo for an area, well it's not The Woodlands, is absolutely price gouging. I started out at $109, 7 mos later it went to $119, 8mos later it was $131 and yesterday got an increase letter from yet another property manager Gigi Pastor, moving me to $151, a 13% increase 5 MONTHS since the last increase. I can't imagine the price of the property, operating costs and running this facility requires such an increase especially when there's nothing special about their supposed customer service. Public Storage at least signs a 1yr lease and this appears to be a month to month with random increases whenever they decide from computer generated form letters stating they need to make a "modest" increase. Seems like I'm on a countdown to an increase every 3-4 mos after the latest one goes into effect 8/1. Choose wisely. I wish I had gone with one of the bigger companies so I wouldn't be randomly nickeled and dimed every 6mos or so for nothing but sheer greed.
