I called them yesterday for an appointment for my mother and I at 4:11p unaware that they were closing at 5 and I was a good 25-30 mins away, but they were more than willing to wait for my mother and I. Even though I offered to come another day out of respect and principle. This already started them off on a good foot because my old regular place would have told me to come back another day even if I made it 50mins before closing. I arrived with my mother at 4:38p and when I walked in I was greeted and asked to confirm my name, the woman who ended up doing my nails confirmed with me what my mother and I were looking to get done and we both were seated immediately. The place was very clean and orderly. All the women were nice. I wasn't too sure what I wanted done besides wanting a full set. Lynn (aka Lynn 1, lol) asked me what I liked I told her coffin shape and simple for work.. she asked what colors do I like on my nails and I told her I love the soft tones of pink and she offered if I would be willing to do pink and white ombré nails, I told her sure because I'm not a fan of French tips... shortly she got to work. She took the time to ask me icebreaker questions like where I was from, how did I find them and other things to make me more comfortable as I am already a very self-conscious person. She didn't rush, which is what I greatly appreciate and am so grateful for because I know how it feels to want to get off of a long shift at work and go home but no one rushed not even with my mother getting a pedicure, eyebrow waxing and S&S manicure. They took their time. I can't stress that enough. Lynn 2 is also a delight, although she didn't service us, she still made it a priority to assure my mother and I were comfortable as well. Who knew just a 12 minute drive to this East Hanover gem would result in the greatest customer satisfaction! They set the tone for the kind of service you should get at ANY place of business! It was a first for me doing the ombré style and for my mother doing the S&S set but I am very glad that we took my cousin's advice and called LV Nails & Spa. Thank you to the Lynn sisters for making us feel very welcome and for your loving, caring and kind nature! We will surely be back. To any customer second-guessing due to pure hesitation or what you see online, trust me it is worth it & so much more.

Took my polish off and then got my nails ready. Then they stopped and told me to go to the pedicure chair where I waited for 1/2 hour. Finally they did my pedicure by a girl with an attitude. When pedicure was done, I sat there for 20 more minutes with no one offering to do. The same girl with the attitude did my nails and was clearly not happy about it. Then they charged $10 extra for doing something I didn't ask for. All in all my nails took over 2 hours and my pedicure chipped on the way home. NOT GOING BACK.

She has many years of experience and gave me great breathing techniques to get through those moments (ladies you know what I'm talking about!!) she was really easy to talk through and even asked about my prior experience. This is the first time in a long time where my Brazilian was tolerable and I attribute that to the soft wax but also my waxer. I am excited to get back on track and see how my body does with the soft wax.

They called to cancel my appointment with one day's notice, leaving me a cheery voicemail, apologizing for any inconvenience . Management never returned my phone calls when I called repeatedly asking to speak with somebody. And they continue to send me emails, reminding me to book an appointment for service they no longer offer. I have heard from former employees that management treats them poorly, messes with their schedule and has no respect for keeping customers aligned with the person who you have established a relationship with. To me this demonstrates a disregard both of their employees and their customers. I understand that businesses can choose to make decisions based on a variety of factors. I am not writing this review based on their decision. I am writing this review based on their handling of their decision, which, in my opinion could not have more poorly. Needless to say, he couldn't find our appointments. He managed to squeeze us in, apparently by giving us some other woman's timeslot bc she showed up pitching a fit during our sprays. We asked where to go for the service. And instead of going behind reception to the salon rooms, we were sent back out the door to the salon, up a few flights of stairs inside an old apartment building. When we got to the piles of black garbage bags stacked in the hallway, the door to the spray room was to the right. There's a tiny, shabby waiting room, if you can call it that, and a janky storage room/janitor closet. Plus, the woman getting sprayed had left her stuff all over the one chair, open handbag and everything. The tan itself didn't really look like much, except on my face, which was really dark. But everywhere else you couldn't really notice it. So, nope. Would not recommend. PS: If this review convinces you to go here, be prepared to get totally nay-nay except for disposable paper undies.
