The food is always so good here I was craving the tapsilog, it came out promptly, and was SO worth the wait and craving. The service is well everybody is respectful and willing to help you decide. The ube latte is 10/10, I got light ice which is probably why there's a major gap. I like the nutty flavor of the espresso and the ube half/half mix is a good level of sweet (for me). 10/10 The ube halaya in the ube pan is delicious. Nutty and not too sweet. Would come back for this and their halaya - sooo much better fresh made than the yucky processed over-sugared stuff in the jars at the market. 2/5 The chicken asada pandesal was a bit dry, interesting, reminded me of pork fong. Located next to PhilAm Supermarket, in what used to be a French Toast bakery, is a fairly new (opened in early May) Filipino American bakery called Amazing Grace Bakery and Café. I believe they are owned by the same people as Amazing Grace restaurant and Amazing Grace Grocery which are all located within two blocks of each other. The two times I visited this month, I noticed that they don't get a lot of foot traffic. The interior feels spacious, quiet and relaxing. If you are looking for a quiet place to work on your laptop, I imagine this might be a good place for that. Their menu has some hot items but mainly consists of baked goods, coffee, milk shakes, milk tea and gelato. I have not tried their gelato yet but have gotten a couple of milkshakes, their mini cheesecake bites, Ube chiffon cake and Pandesal. The Ube Milkshake ($8) and Cookies and Cream Milkshake ($8) comes in one size only (16oz). They are both pretty good. Not as thick as other milkshakes I've gotten elsewhere but tasty. I would recommend the Ube Milkshake over the Cookies and Cream. The mini cheesecake bites are so darn cute. I've gotten all 6 flavors but honestly, they all kind of taste the same. They are very light in texture, not too sweet and with a crumb bottom. The Ube chiffon cake was yummy. I liked the light fluffy texture with the slight Ube taste. I would get this again. And I really liked their Pandesal. It was perfect after I toasted it in the oven and slathered it with butter. And it went so well with coffee. Pretty good addition to this neighborhood. Was on our way to lunch at our favorite restaurant Renee's last Thursday when I saw this new Filipino bakery after parking our car. Conveniently located right next to the Phil-Am grocery store, you won't have a hard time finding this. Pretty spacious and welcoming inside. You can have coffee and dine in with your pastries or have it to go. I met the owner Jeannette and she was really warm and welcoming. I knew I wanted to get Spanish bread and I wanted to buy one and try it first, she actually gave it to me complimentary. Such a nice gesture. Told her we'll come back after lunch so we have enough time to go around and decide. Once we came back, I got a pack of 10 for combo Spanish bread original and they actually have a Spanish bread in Ube version. These were good but it somehow isn't sweet enough to hit the spot, I'm sure with the right tweak it will be even better. We got the Ube Pandesal too, one last pack remaining and so glad we got it. It's big enough and upon reheating in the microwave for 30 seconds at home, it was perfect! Really delicious Ube flavor and they were generous with the Ube! The cheese felt like a combo of cream cheese and cheddar, it was good but not overpowering the Ube flavor. And for me the texture of the Ube pandesal was amazing and how it should be. Makes me think that I should have bought actual Pandesal too but will save that for next time. Finally, we also got a slice of the Ube Cake with leche flan on top and it was yummy, perfect with coffee. My most favorite out of everything was the Ube Halaya with Macapuno that I almost did not buy and was in their fridge section (which had more goodies!), this was honestly the best Ube Halaya that I've bought in the entire NYC and one that I'll come back for or place a special order for. Incredible ube texture, great milk ratio and the actual macapuno definítely elevates it! Can't wait to come back and try more of their stuff. All the best to Jeanette and the team! =) read more

This is a small mom and Pop shop owned by the same owners as amazing Grace restaurant. This place is newly renovated and bright and inviting. All the baked goods are reasonable in price. I tried the ube pan which was filled to the brim with Ube paste and the bread was nice and soft. It was at a reasonable price for 250. There are plenty of other goodies I would like to try there are a whole variety of sweet and savory pastries, as well as hot meals. The ladies in the bakery are super sweet and efficient. The only thing I would avoid are the drinks. They seem very pricey for what they are. read more

I'm a big fan of the pan de coco (closely resembles the shape of a dinner roll but with toasted coconut in the middle) from Tagpuan. Other hits with the family from this bakery are the pan de sal (looks like a dinner roll) and the Spanish bread which is a slightly sweet buttered roll. If you're in the area, pop in for the pan de coco, the bread of my childhood. One bite will transport you to tropical islands. read more
