His speech was slurred and his behavior was erratic. I asked if he was okay to drive, and he laughed it off. I had no choice but to get my vehicle towed, so I followed him in a friend's car. My car was damaged after an unnecessary tow from my senior mother's apartment complex. I paid 200 dollars and requested my receipt. They told me that "everything is digital now" and that I would receive it in a few minutes. I've been requesting for the past 5 days and they have not responded at all. How are they contracted and they will not even provide their contractors with appropriate records for proof of tows?! Another instance my buddy got towed (legitimately) , we got to the tow place and they completely over charged around $180 and were complete ass holes, giving off very threatening vibes. We questioned the price and they become hostile very quickly saying "you want car back or not" etc. I've never had such a hatred towards a company but these ass holes deserves all the hate coming. Car was towed here after an accident, I came to clear items from the car and was asked if I had keys and to sign release. Explained I couldn't because I wasn't the owner and the lady helping me agreed that it has to be the owner. Insurance appraiser goes to check out the damage and they say the cars not there. They say it was released and that they can only give info to where it was released to the owner. So we call and ask and was told it was on the lot still so appraiser calls and told it was released the day that I came to clean the car out. So I call today and ask for documentation of this release by the owner who wasn't aware where car was let alone get there and sign release. Document can't be found what a coincidence. They can't look anything up until Monday because office is closed at 4:30 pm at ALWAYS OPEN TOWING! What a joke! read more

On April 13th, my husband's car was stolen. After speaking with the police and filing a report, we were left to figure out our next steps. We eventually learned that the car was in the Always Open tow lot for 57 days, and we were being charged $35 per day for a car that we needed urgently. Neither the police nor the towing company informed us about the car's location. We even checked the mass.gov tow site regularly, but we believe the updated information on the car's whereabouts was not available until only after July 13th. There was a clear failure in properly communicating and notifying us about the situation. Furthermore, on August 1st, 2024, we arrived at the Always Open tow lot to retrieve the vehicle; the sign in the office stated that they accepted debit and cash, but the clerk at the desk then informed us that they could only accept cash. We had to leave and come back the following day (Friday - 8/2/2024) with cash. The level of frustration and unprofessional business practices from Always Open Towing should not be tolerated in this city. read more

STEER CLEAR from this company if you can. They are absolutely unreliable and they won't even make amends for that. Here is what happened to me. They were called to tow my car to get serviced and the car happened to be in the lower level of a garage. So after determining that their truck would not fit in, they still decided to get paid and have me in my other car tow the car that was stuck out of the garage. So I pretty much did part of the job that they got paid for, but hey at least we got the car out so I was grateful for it. Now, this happened on a Thursday and I gave them the key of the car to drop at destination. Well, they forgot to do that. Also, they did not tell me that they forgot to leave the keys. So I get called by the shop on Friday morning telling me that they don't have the keys, and that they called the towing company which stated that they did not have the keys --- when they absolutely did. So my car ended up sitting at the shop throughout Fri and the weekend because without the keys nothing could be done. Come Monday, I call the towing company directly first thing in the morning and learn that they indeed did have the keys. I also tell them to please go drop them before 6pm so that the car can be serviced. I also ask them to please call me if they can't for whatever reason. Nobody calls me so at 5.30 I call in to double check that they have dropped the keys. Of course they did not. And just gave me a generic excuse of being busy. Given the sequence of mistake over mistake that they had stacked up until that moment, I decide to take some time off my own work and get the keys from them myself and bring them to the shop. As I picked up the keys I explained that it was their sequence of mistakes on a job that was already paid for that caused me to having to cut my working day short. And that once again I was doing the job for them. They managed to give me some angry "apology" but of course no concrete solution for any waste of time they caused. Eventually, they asked me to leave and slammed the door of their establishment in my face. Oh right but not before they asked me to be thankful for not having lost the keys. Should I also be thankful that --- I don't know --- they did not drop my car in a ditch turning the tow? Extremely disappointing customer treatment and incredibly rude demeanor. TL;DR very unprofessional, unapologetic and rude when it comes to admitting their own mistakes; overall unreliable. read more

The owner of this establishment just makes excuses for his employee's driver behavior. Instead of being worried about erratic driving through elementary school parking lots, in the rain, while still dark out, he just says "oh he's just dropping off his daughter." Does that excuse the fact that other children are being dropped off and his driver should slow down and watch for children rather than rushing to work for his boss? These monsters towed my spouse's father's van without warning after he died and wouldn't allow any of his children to see the van unless they paid $350. They said they had two hours to pay or the van would be sent to a junk yard. They finally allowed one of the siblings to see the van for only 5 minutes and charged her $108. We paid the towing ($90) and storage fee ($35/day) on a wrecked car, but when we showed up with our own equipment to take our car away, they informed us there was also a $40 fee to move the car they parked in front of ours, and get our car out on the street, but they gave us a "discount" of $20. What a bargain! $20 to get our car out. They did back it on the trailer for us as far as they could, but I'm not buying the story that they had to charge the fee because some guy hurt himself taking his license plates off his car and sued them. Furthermore, when they made out the sales slip, they charged us a $20 fuel surcharge. Their list of fees calls for a fuel surcharge for towing mileage over five or six miles. Our car was towed no more than two. They also left the number of storage days blank and the total charge blank, so my son filled in the proper amount not including the fuel surcharge and added the date. I'd love to see how they explain the math to the tow company owner. I think the guys on duty were trying to rip both of us off. I can't say they were rude, but I do think they are thieves. Maybe that's harsh. Maybe they are only extortionists. In conclusion, if you are unfortunate enough to have Always Open tow your car, they only take cash, you have to have your registration, and be prepared to pay for "extras" read more
