I contacted John because another website said he hauls away items to be donated. I thought I was going to donate the couch that didn't fit in my apartment door. I ended up sending it back to my old apartment. I also ended up finding a replacement couch and to my surprise John made time in his schedule to pick up the new couch before coming to my place to take the top large couch back to my old place. When the new Sleeper couch opened up on top of him he didn't complain. And I'm sure it hurt! He just took a breath, came up with a solution and moved on with poise. Just to give you an idea - the new couch was in Queen Anne, the top big couch in Northgate, and the old apartment was in West Seattle. He and his colleague did a wonderful job. His truck is very basic but he gets the job done on a fixed budget and with excellent care and attention. I don't usually give reviews but, John and his men were excellent and I do recommend them. They were all very polite and worked very hard. They arrived on time for giving an estimate and for doing the job the following day. What they removed, was a hot tub I had and it only took them about a half hour including demo. The price was right, came in range with what I was getting from others. If you're on the fence, pick John and his crew. A few observations: 1. John was the the first to get back to me and, the only one who was interested in coming to give an estimate so he could give an accurate quote. Nobody else I contacted did, they just threw a number out there. 2. Once I did ask for other haulers to come by and see the situation, nobody got back to me. For me, that just seems unprofessional. 3. I'd definitely recommend and hire them again if needed in the future. read more

I cannot be more pleased (to say the least) with my experience with John Durant and his crew. This an amazing company owned by a wonderfully responsive and responsible gentleman. John worked me into his busy schedule, learning that I had an unexpected deadline that suddenly arose. We used Always Hauling on two occasions: first to haul junk out of our garage, and the second to take furniture to Goodwill. When I initially contacted John he responded within hours and we easily arranged a pick up time. John hauled all our junk and old cabinets from a kitchen we recently demo'd. He broke down all the cabinets so it would fit better in his truck while his helper loaded the truck. This was hard laborious work on a very hot summer afternoon and they worked cheerfully and efficiently. Later they hauled away furniture taking up space in my garage to Goodwill.
