Have had other offices ask me my name ask me everything as if they never saw me before. Tired of being treated like a random number. This office has the feel of a small family run business but the versatility of having a large corporate backing to get top notch equipment in the office. Today needed blood & papers for an upcoming procedure. They said they didn't have the papers, my other doctors office gave them faulty info, we left. I called the other office in the car en route another stop, managed to sort them out and have it faxed over to the clinic. Stopped at the clinic on the way home and they managed to squeeze in a few minutes with a nurse to grab the blood and a flash with the doctor to do the paperwork even though I was well past my appointment time today because the other office didn't send the papers to the right office. They'll go above and beyond to get things done if they can logistically handle it. Blood collection was easy and the nurse had my preferred type and gauge of needle, I know what needle my veins are good with because of how many blood drawings and procedural IV lines I have in a year. The overall clinic is a 5/5 except for when you have to do after hours answering service call ins. They tend to be a bit unreliable at getting the physician to phone back but they do eventually work after some prodding. Maybe the company will switch answering service vendors if they see more complaints about answering service problems.

He can be very direct and blunt, (which we appreciate) and is impressively knowledgeable. He generally will recommend a conservative approach to issues, as a first step, rather than something more radical (e.g., physical therapy for a rotator cuff issue versus surgery). This has worked very well for us! Whilst I see a number of complaints about the front office staff; in our experience, they are polite and friendly; and do their best with the onslaught of calls they receive.

Receptionist can tell you one thing while the doctor her self will tell you absolutely different thing. No communication between them :/ Care it's self? To get more money from your insurance sends you to every single clinic in the world and makes your appointment only focused on one little problem. Really, do not bother even calling there, they are going to smile in your face but talk behind your back the second you turn away.

Dr. Bahara is fantastic. He takes the time to listen. He truly hears what his patients say, asks logical questions, and bases much of his initial medical plans on what you share. I found it refreshing to find a Doctor who operates this way. Many doctors think they know much more than you do and barely hear what you say. He suspects the initial diagnosis was mistaken - not due to the other doctor's error. Being in Nephrology, you must know a lot about pharmacology. When he looked at the medications I take, he said two could cause a "false positive." He had me stop both, and we're watching to see what happens. More in about a month.

Nurse was good except she did some tests that seemed completely unrelated to Dr Rod had excellent interpersonal skills/bedside manner. I actually got seen 22 minutes earlier than the original projection. I drove a mile past NCH immediate care to get here because of its bad reviews and I am so glad I drove the extra mile! Exam rooms are very clean, look new too. Plenty of space and extra seats for parents that bring kids.

Astoundingly efficient office…read more The office is easy to locate and very clean. Some of the outside office waiting area furniture is a bit aged but still serviceable, I'd probably say they'll replace or refurbish the furniture in a year or so. The clinic rooms are extremely clean and very well maintained. The clinic rooms put the waiting area to shame. Intake nurses are polite and conversational. They're willing to take time to collect and explore medical history. The APN (care provider) is very efficient in their provision of care. They do not argue with a persons needs. They go above and beyond to make sure that the patient is the driving force in the room and the provider a validating and prescribing agent. Instead of the provider talking down to patients with chronic conditions the provider lets patients decide their care needs and aids the navigation. It's truly a collaborative care environment unlike some offices I've been in where providers are controlling and have the final say in everything. This is a prime go to clinic for most minor needs. That said it might not be a fit for more major needs. There's the large Des Plaines care center for more extensive needs such as the need for an on-site blood laboratory and point of care blood testing. For your basic sinus infections and pneumonias etc this office will do the job efficiently and quickly. For more involved rare organisms, you might want to consider the larger urgent care / outpatient center. Choose carefully based on the severity of your condition. Also, don't bother with instant quick care video visits. They'll just waste your time and have you go to urgent care. This clinic has been a go to for my healthcare for years and will remain that way.

Terrible throughput terrible efficiency. The only saving grace this office has is the doctor it's self!!! Doc is fast and efficient and was very apologetic after getting hung up in a long surgical case. This offices scheduling waiting and room assignment system are rubbish. But the doctors keep it certifiable. 4/5 barely (1/5 if we add in the waiting room deductions)

If I have problems with insurance they resolve any issues for they know my history and I am monitored to make sure if any changes need to be made they look into it. The office staff are friendly. professional and will get you through to the right person if you call with a problem. It's terrible ti live with chronic illness and pain and many times you feel like you are a victim of insensitive pharmacies that can make things difficult and make you feel hopeless. MAPS is there to take your care seriously.

Would not return…read moreunder any circumstances; I trust google and my own judgment significantly more than I trust this office. I brought my child in on a Tuesday for a regular visit; I also brought in a diaper due to a reddish hue in his urine; it appeared almost bloody. My husband and I expressed our concerns about this to Dr Schwarz and she brushed it off, assumingly because we're "paranoid first parents" hardly even looking at the diaper. Long story short, we ended up in th ER early Wednesday morning; our child had Hemmorhagic Disease. With blood in his urine... Our child almost died. 7 days and $127,000 later, he's a healthy baby boy. Had this doctor not brushed off our concerns maybe we could have skipped the ER visit; or at least the near death aspect of the visit.
