The pricing was reasonable, and the timeline worked for us, so we moved forward. During the project, an unexpected issue was discovered beneath the existing hardwood. Luciano clearly explained two options -- one impacting time and budget and one that did not -- provided his professional recommendation, and allowed us to decide. We appreciated the transparency and collaboration, including his help selecting stain colors that complemented the other wood tones in our home. Mr. Abate was very prompt in getting back to me for an estimate. I took off the day from work to let him see what needs to be done and he arrived on time. After the initial visit, I thought I would get an estimate in a few days, a week at the latest. However, I got no estimate. After a week, I emailed Mr. Abate after the holiday, thinking that it's a busy time for families and to take that into consideration. He replied, stating that he would get the estimate to me the following day. I told him to take his time, thinking that another week would be the maximum time that I would have to wait. Unfortunately, it's been about a month, and I still haven't received an estimate. I didn't bother reminding him again because I can take a hint. That's fine, if you don't want to do a job, just let the potential client know, so we can find someone else. I wanted to get the paint job done before some medical considerations and even getting to this point was a big deal for me due to some health issues, but I will have to delay a new paint job for a few months now because of the delay in getting the estimate back.
