We had our wedding up the street and everyone was in town the night before, so we were looking for a place to bring a large party to have a casual hangout. This place was the perfect spot for that. They had live music on a Saturday, allow you to bring in food from other places and have a great selection of beers that fit everyone's preferences. The staff was so nice and efficient at serving us along with everyone else that was there. We had a great night!! Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Cool new spot in "sleepy" Sturbridge! They have a good selection of different styles of beers (definitely try the Hazed and Confewzed if you like super citrusy IPAs!), and some funkier options like the peanut butter and jelly stout, and kombucha on tap! They also have a good selection of typical bar food (sandwiches, soft pretzels, chips and salsa, etc), and I love that you can bring in your own snacks, too. The environment is comfortable, but a bit small if you come with a larger crowd on a colder/bad weather day (but the outdoor patio would be a good option otherwise).

Great brewery, the pumpkin pie beer is delicious and the ipa are awesome as well. Can't go Wrong with this cute place.

Well said beer, well said.

Cool atmosphere with some awesome murals. Nice staff. Had the Passion (Gose), which was really nice, wanted to get some to take home and it just sold out :(

A flight and a float! What a perfect relief for a really hot weekend. If you have a few free minutes in Sturbridge, MA, spend them at this cool brewery. They have a great variety of beer on tap ranging from a light and refreshing saison to a bourbon-barreled stout. Your bartender will make excellent suggestions based on your preferences, and tastings are by the glass not flight. The Willonia (light) and Fiske Ale (brown ale) were my favorite. They were smooth and clean. We also ordered a stout float and enjoyed it immensely!! Such a cool option. They have a few tables, allow you to bring in your own food, and have a good number of seats at the bar. There is seating for groups, but if you go at a busy time you'll probably have a few people standing if there are more than 3 of you. Check it out, enjoy, and leave with a few cans or T-shirts. Highly recommend.

Really cool bartenders who are fun to hang out with. Loved the Bixby cookie stout, excellent layout and vibe, chill outside area. Definitely worth checking out and have a pretzel while you're at it!

Can't wait to go back here! This place was awesome. They paid attention to every detail. The atmosphere is so welcoming and spacious - they utilized all the amazing architecture already present from the building and put their own twist on everything. My husband and I both had flights of beer and were not disappointed at all! We got there right after opening so we were the only ones there for a bit which gave us time to get to know the bartender and talk shop ... she was fantastic. They serve warm pretzels but you're also welcome to bring your own food. Looks like they have a great live band line up and they have some fun games like a giant connect four! Will be back!

I first visited these guys when they were operating out of a small barn, and seeing the evolution to this 53,000 sq ft, $18.5M facility is seriously impressive. They follow a "direct-to-consumer" model -- selling everything right out the front door -- and they've mastered it. I've been here many times over the years and go whenever I have the opportunity, which says everything. Tried some of their standout beers -- King Julius is the gold standard, consistently ranked among the best beers in the world. Their flagship Julius is just as impressive, with massive notes of mango and peach -- incredibly well balanced and executed. There are usually food trucks on site, which adds to the experience -- you can enjoy a fresh pour while picking up your take-home haul. Fun fact: On BeerAdvocate's all-time Top 250 list, Tree House often has 30+ beers featured, something almost no other brewery can match. Overall, some of the best beers anywhere -- truly unparalleled and absolutely worth the visit. Saluti.

TH continues to be my favorite New England brewery. So many styles that are all really well done…read more Having multiple locations has helped tame some of the lines but it continues to be busy in Charlton, especially on weekends so I try to avoid going there on weekends. Hint: this time of year is actually a great time to visit their sandwich location, especially if you can catch a decent weather day. The real reason for the update is that they now have pizza in Charlton! At the time of writing this, it's only by the slice and only M-Th. They lack the capacity to feed the masses at this time but I'm guessing the goal is to ramp up to full production eventually. Unfortunately, my slice last night was not the best they can do. Undercooked, slightly cold and a little chewy, and no char. I look forward to when it's hot and fresh, but for now, at least it's a start!!

Several months ago, I was following my GPS to visit someone when this place caught my eye…read more It was so tiny. So hidden away. I mean, who the hell has even heard of Gilbertville? I made a mental note to come back another day, when I had time to explore the area. Spoiler alert: There's not much there to explore in Gilbertville. Although, if you're like me and willing to drive 10 miles out of your way to save ten cents a gallon on gas, they do have the cheapest gas around. But I digress... Yesterday I pulled into their almost non-existent parking lot and wondered where people park when they are full. I was there at 3pm, so it was empty aside from myself, two other people, and a dog. The space was quirky and eclectic, with random art on the walls, old pieces from antique shops, and a bar lined with metal seats. They also had a few tables. It was all dark old wood, and I imagine it would be an awesome spot to hit on a cold winter's day. I settled myself into a seat at the bar. Just a warning: those seats must have the AC blowing directly onto the metal, because my poor vagina felt like it went through a cold plunge. I was wearing shorts, but the freezing cold metal felt like it penetrated straight into my cervix. If you opt for bar seating while wearing shorts, pack a sweater for your genitals. Icy nether regions aside, this place was a perfect little hideaway to hang for a bit and enjoy some well-crafted beers. They don't serve meals, but they do have snacks you can purchase if you need some sustenance. Their white stout was PHENOMENAL, one of the best beers I've had in a while. It was creamy, sweet, and SO easy to drink. It gave me a cream soda vibe, but with a 7% bite. Solo factor: 7/10. The place was pretty empty when I went, so it felt very comfortable to be there by myself. But it's tiny, so I don't know if it would have that same vibe once it's packed. The bartender was awesome, and very attentive. The seating isn't necessarily ideal for someone who wants to spend hours hanging out there, but it was fine for the time I was there...and there were also other options for places to sit. Also, I saw that they have an outdoor area where you can sit, which I missed on the way in. And I would be remiss to not mention that their bathroom was freakishly clean for a brewery bathroom. I've been to two places over the past few weeks where I walked into the bathroom, saw what was waiting for me, and thought "Fuck it, I'd rather get a kidney stone." Yuck.

Love this place. Staff is great, music is sweet, and the beer is awesome. A few beers they always…read morehave and something different from time to time.
