Disappointed in management

I worked at altitude Merrimack for 6 months this is my review of the current conditions. While I was employed there I was treated like I was easily replaceable. Mind you, I worked an average of 120+ hours a month picking up every shift I could and was never shown any appreciation for my time. While being there I've witness multiple careless mistakes by management and absolute disrespect towards employees and customers. Management will lie to employees promising employees promotions and never follow through. I was promised to be moved to maintenance along with 2 other employees back in September making $14. this was never the plan. They instead brought over a maintenance manager from Conard and fired a Merrimack Manager. My co-worker has been with the company since it opened and they demoted and wouldn't give him a reason why. If you do decide to work here due to poor recognition and management you will be subject to on average of 3 shifts a week being 4 hour shifts which most of the time get cut to 2 hours a shift at 8 dollars and hour. While you are working keeping the park clean, management will be watching you in the office on there security cameras nitpicking your every move and calling out your mistakes in front of other employees. The current GM has no prior experience to running the park. I've even helped The GM figure out front desk and I was a Court Monitor only there for 4 months at the time. Fair warning if you decide to leave after employment DO NOT put any management down for references for your next job the will not give you a good reference. They are understaffed and are currently have the Concord park employees come down and work for the same rate. Management will tell you that they will notice you picking up shifts and will eventually move up the "ladder" but there are priority is to make money while Management thrives and the other employees enforce the rules and maintain the park for them. oh and don't get on the bad side of the Assistant GM Krysti, YOU WONT BE SCHEDULED!!!!!!! With all that being said if you think this will be a great fit for you think again...To management your just a body to sit there and baby sit the kids and if you complain you'll be sent home and not scheduled. I don't have any hate for Altitude but this park NEEDS to be addressed by corporate. what they do is robbing people of there work ethic and not addressing the real problems. If you do have an application look somewhere else there are plenty of businesses that would value you more and compensate you better for your time. - Former employee Owen DeCosta

Follow Up Review Response: I see the business responded to…read moremy comment and I applaud and appreciate them being responsive to feedback. I do want to reiterate that my experience could have gone very differently with a "I'm sorry that there was confusion about when you'd be able to access the room. I can see how that might be frustrating. We will do everything we can to get you access to the room as soon as possible." Nothing like this was ever said. We were told the room is in use and the room is being cleaned and then we were admitted. We were admitted before the stated contract time but the reason I choose to still provide feedback about the experience is b/c while contract language says "jump time 1-2, room time 2-3" there was also email guidance about what could be brought in and how access to the room could be granted upon arrival to decorate and set up, which lead to my confusion. Also EVERY other party we have attended there and I'd say it's over 5 we had access to the room no fewer than 30+ minutes prior to "room time" or before the end of "jump time" however you want to phrase it. There's a difference between being contractually "in the right" and providing quality customer service. It's true it said room time 2-3 but it did not say no access will be provided to the room prior to that time and did have conflicting guidance in emails about access to decorate, etc. Lastly, based on the comment about being dissatisfied with the outcome, I want to be clear the only "resolution" or "outcome" I was looking for was room access, which we eventually received and we expressed our appreciation for your party planner with both words of gratitude, tip, and assisting her in getting all the items upstairs. But the outcome we never received, which appears we won't, was an acknowledgment of our feelings or even a bit of empathy for the confusion we had and the frustration we felt. Maybe it was entirely my fault to misunderstand email language about set up and base my expectations on past experiences, but all it would have taken was a simple "I'm sorry there's confusion. I see how that could be frustrating. We will do what we can to get you access as soon as possible." That's all I needed...

We have always had large parties & book the largest one we can get. We would get up the big room above the registers which is perfect. This year, we were in the smallest room upstairs. When we walked in, I asked them if it was our room because we always get the big room due to the size of our parties. I also asked if it was for 24+ people in which I was told no, it holds 10-15. I stated that it was going to be a problem because I have more than that. In return, I was told "it has nothing to do with the room, it's the party that is booked" & that there was another legendary party booked. I am not really sure why there would be another 24+ party booked if there wasn't room to facilitate/handle it. Our party ended up over flowing the room & into the upstairs eating area due to not having enough room to fit everyone. It was rather uncomfortable apologizing for having adults & younger children sitting on the floor eating pizza. Not just that, but for the last few years, we go there & part of the course and/or a room is always shut down. This is the 3rd year in a row that one of the major play areas is closed off. As for our host, I have no complaints, he was helpful & there if needed. We also did not end up getting a bag for the birthday children which we usually do. I am sad to say that I think our time at Sky Zone has come to an end. It was very disappointing having to spent as much money as I did ($500+) on a party that was fit for 10-15 people. To say "it's not about the room" was not the best thing they could have said. It is about the comfort & space especially when you have a big party. 5 pizzas & refills are not worth what I had paid.

What can I say besides "wow!"…read more X-treme craze was a really cool place! Our family members recommended it for our son, and we're excited to take him on the bounce-house Nerf gun wars. I believe we visited on a Tuesday or Wednesday, whichever night it was they had a special an hour of Nerf wars for $20/pp. Our son had a great time in the HUGE (HUUUUUUUGE!!!) bounce area ( it is so big they have CCTV in the back for parents/non-participents to watch from the seating area). They also had a variety of games, which require a pre-paid card, but were all very reasonably priced (0.25 cents to $1.75). The pre-paid card also came with certain deals (load $10 receive $12 credit) and there were a variety of games for a variety of different skill-levels. They had the "play until you win" claw machine too, which is great for kids of all ages. The prize wall was expansive and the prizes were "priced" fairly. It ranged from a few points for candy to thousands of points for larger items. My son was able to get a stuffed animal for around 700 points, and he loves that thing. The area was clean, it was not crowded, parking was plentiful and staff was friendly and approachable. We really loved Xtreme craze.

It baffled me how unproductive they were. Then the real doozy that put me over the top, I stood in line for almost an hour at the cafe to find out they stopped serving food because they were backed up. Wanted to talk to the General Manager Brent about the situation, get a refund, and he wouldn't talk to me. He was hiding in the kitchen and wouldn't come out. Literally. What General Manager hides in the kitchen and won't talk to his customers? It felt like a bad movie scene as I stood there outside the kitchen and was told by his employee he wouldn't come out. First of all, to stop taking food orders (after an hour line) because they are overwhelmed (and so what are we supposed to about our kids who need lunch) then to not prioritize the customer and have the manager hide in the kitchen when someone wants to talk to you? Well, that is not the way to show the customer that they matter. I'd like to know who the owner is of this place because the customer service is awful. So sad.
